The Los Lantiscos appartments where very clean. We had an appartment rite ubove the stage looking onto the pool. The music would start at 10 o'clock which didn't really bother us as we were already up at that time but if you are not an early riser I wood advise you not to get an appartment near the stage.

The hotel Staff where very friendly and would help you in every way posible. The entertainers where also very good especialy if you have young children with you.

The location of the appartments was great as you where close to the shops, bars and restaraunts. I would definatly visit these appartments again as I found it alot of fun.

23.05.04 - Just arrived back from a wonderful break in Los Lentiscos. Great place to stop.

We had one of the apartments away from the pool lovely and quiet wouldnt fancy stopping in the pool side ones would be too loud especially at the height of the season.

The market on the complex is very reasonable. They also have a gym, personally the thought of exercise in that heat beats me. Another good idea is the case storage area for when you leave, for a small charge of 8 euros (5 euros deposit returned) you can lock your own cases in a personal locker. The safety deposit box is situated in the reception area which I think is a good idea, having heard about ones been removed wholesale from rooms whilst your out. I must point out these safes are very small you wont get a videa camera in it.

It is situated far enough from the centre where the bars, restaurants and shops are situated but not too far to crawl back after a few bevys. The apartments are very clean and spacious. I could believe how many times the towels were changes 4 times in 7 days, so you dont have to clutter up your case with bath towels.

The entertainment looked OK, have to admit not much in to organised entertainment as we like to stroll round the bars and restaurants. Did have a go at the bingo Ha ha and won couldnt believe it when I had to share the prize money with another winner(

Just got back from our first ever holiday on Minorca, at the los lentiscos appartments .

It is a large complex with plenty of entertainment on offer. We asked for and were given a quiet room at the back of the complex which was superb and had a sea view, although a couple we met had a pool side room and they complained a lot about the constant noise, all we heard were crickets chirping, the apartments are all only 2 floors high and arranged in semi circles we had room 122 which had all day sunshine to the balcony ( i noticed all the apartments to our left only got the sun in the afternoon). The reception staff were very helpful and one of them a young lady called Anna was even giving my wife and i spanish lessons .

In reception there is an internet machine but i would advise any one using it to make sure that they log off before the money runs out as i had a problem with someone accessing my e mail page and sending abusive e mails to my friends.

The resort itself was much more lively than i expected with quite a few bars and restaurants although most evenings were spent in the nearest pub the Yuca bar.

We booked a boat trip at one of the car hire shops for the last full day of our holiday and arrived at 8.30 only to find it had been cancelled no one let us know, so that spoiled what should have been a good day out .

There is a bus stop outside the main entrance to los lentiscos so we caught a bus to Ciutadella it only cost 1 euro each, there is a market there every fri and saturday and the old town is well worth a visit lots of shops and places to see.

The week we were in Minorca was very hot and as i expected we did get bitten a few times by mosquitos but thanks to the advice of many holiday truth readers we had a plentiful supply of vit b tablets and mozzie spray.

One thing we did notice was that the English people kept them selfs to them selfs, hardly any one spoke i would say good morning and people would just walk by as if i was invisible.

The beaches at Cala,n forcat are nothing to write home about mostly small rocky coves with sand added by jcb diggers in the winter, if you want a nice large safe beach i would suggest Alcudia in Majorca is a better choice.

My wifes best quote of the week was " if this place was any more laid back it would be comatose."
We enjoyed a week out there but both agree a fortnight would be too boring, but then we didnt have any young children to entertain and the ones we saw were all well looked after with play areas and things to do.

So if you like to chill out , this is the place for you,but only if you get a room at the back of lentiscos like we did.
All the best....Ped

This hotel was very clean and WASN'T cleaned once a week, but about 3 or 4 times.

The location was fantastic for my child as it was a safe place to be.

The beach was very nice, although a tad too far away.

Enjoy your stay!!

The hotel was big complex with good views and good rooms and had friendly staff the food was good but we ate out most of the time.

The location was also good as it was next to loads of shops and restarants.

If your looking for a quiet place then its proberly better to ask for a room at the back of the hotel, we asked for a room by the pool and we got one and it was great, so was the entertainment.

It was great for both children and adults and i had a great time and met some great people
