This was our first family holiday (our daughter is 2 years old) The coach collected us from the airport efficiently and took us to the resort Son Bou, we arrived at the hotel and checked in to the Pinguinos hotel.
Our room was very small but clean with a nice view over the pool and the sea. We arrived at around 2:00pm and went to get some food from the restaurant.
The restaurant is in the other building (Milanos) so we treked off down one lift across the reception to another lift into the restaurant. Food was poor to say the least! The food was cold and choice was limited. Breakfast in the hotel was a nightmare, too many people in one room!! The food at breakfast was the best meal of the day but it was so noisy and chaotic it gave us indigestion. We tried breakfast most days but what was not eaten the evening before seemed to make it onto the breakfast menu (try brussel sprouts for breakfast!!) The food at every meal was poor and we ate out every evening.
The pool area was packed, the early towel brigade came out every morning at 8:00am to reserve sun loungers (even though there are clear signs that this is prohibited)so getting a lounger was nigh on impossible most days.
The hotel entertainment was on too late for couples with young children (10:00pm start) and what we did see was of mediocre quality. The kids disco was ok, Lauren (our daughter) loved to dance on the stage but it did not last long enough.
The staff at the hotel were Ok and spoke a variety of languages. The hotel was predominantly occupied by Italians and the entertainment and food were aimed at their tastes.
The pool was absolutely freezing but seemed fairly clean and had a shallow end for the young ones to paddle in.
The cleaners in the hotel were brilliant, our child had a spleep during the day and they always came back if the room was occupied and cleaned it later.

This hotel was great for kids the entertainment team was second to none, but that's the only good thing i can say about it. The rooms were small,not big enough for a family of 4,the food was cold most nights and they only opend one eating room so you struggled to find a table for a family unless you ate at 6.30 pm.

We stayed half board where we had breakfast and dinner. Lunch was easy to grab by local supermarkets or restaurants. We stayed in the Milanos hotel which had "Betty's Kitchen" for Dinner which the kids loved (also has a couple of playstations for the kids here)but we had to go to the Pinguinos hotel for breakfst which was a nightmare! Far too busy and fairly manic at that time of the morning. Overall the choice of food was great -all soft drinks and coffee during breakfst were free which was good. For Dinner no drinks are included and staff are very keen to take your drink order rather than clear your table!
The location of the hotel is great as it seconds away from the beach and the centre of the resort. The hotel has a fab size pool but is freezing and can get very busy.
The hotel staff were just ok not that friendly to be honest. The entertainment was ok not that good for the kids. There were a lot of Italian and Spanish families there and the entertainment was exhausting as was spoken in about 4 different languages!
Definately visit the "Club House" in the hotel as it has lots of stuff that you can borrow; beach toys, books, games, beach towels etc.
It does say in the hotel that reservation of sun loungers is forbidden but it went on every day that we were there - you need to nip down before 7am to get a shaded lounger or else you have no chance! - bit frustrating when you have kids and need a shade for them.
Overall a good hotel for kids as has strong Flinstones theme with lots of good food to choose from. The rooms are very small but the air conditioning and cleanliness make up for it.

This must be the worst holiday I have ever had. The food was ghastly, more geared up for the italians. Who on earth eats sprouts for breakfast.
Forgive me for thinking I had gone to Italy for my hols, I would say 80% of the guests were italian.
The hotel was very clean, but with that said, we did have to complain a couple of times as our room was not cleaned.
The location of the hotel was probably the best of that resort but still only a few shops and retaurants, you could visit every shop in an hour or less. Not much there at all.
The hotel staff seemed friendly enough, but did seem to be more for the italians.
The entertainment was spoke in three different languages, by the time they got to English you were not listening anymore.

the hotel was very clean and tidy rooms clean every day and the staff was very friendly. spent most of the day by the pool's the food was very nice and a good choice, my 12 year old son had pizza every day, i gave it a four due to 2 faults 1 breakfast was set for every one not just the english(bacon, sausages funny taste) and 2 if they had place what the soup was then it would have stoped you questing what it was. the location is set in the idea place if you want a nice relaxing holiday with white kissed beach we spent one day in the sea but be aware that large and sharp rocks in the sea and wear some form of shoe when swimming the pool's were fantastic there is signs to say no inflateables, no swimming under water.?. and other's in the pool but we done them all and was not told off, the smaller pool was idea for small children and all the fun and game take place in this pool. the hotel staff were always friendly and in some cast very quick in removing your plate in the restarant,we found it was cheaper to order still water with your meal than beer or fizzy orange (or kas) as for the entertainment staff what money they are paying them its not engough they realy work there socks off that done a show of some thing every night the run the water polo.volleyball and not including football, vollyball,basketball in the tennis courts, always on the go , the reason i would not go here again is i have been to the island (not many shops) nice relaxing holiday if i did go back then i would only go to this hotel

Great family location, directly located near the beach, beautiful swimming pool, excellent food and evening entertainment! Definitely would visit again!

The Hotel was very clean and the food is very good.
The Hotel's small pool was not always clean.
Location wise this is a quiet resort with a superb beach ideal family holiday (No Yob's)
The Hotel staff were always freindly and polite.
Entertainment was very good all round for adult's but Im afraid the childrens disco entertainment on a night was very poor usually 1 game dragged out over 30 mins,I have travelled all over the spanish islands and have never seen a good kids entertainer yet.
But overall we enjoyed the holiday and would return.

This is a fantastic hotel for families. The rooms are first class with plenty of space for clothes and small luxuries like TV, shower gel etc. The cleaners come in every day and do a great job. The food was excellent, so much choice it was unbelievable. The location is good because it is nearly on the beach and the rest of the resort is on the door step, including a small childrens entertainment centre with trampolines and slides etc. (Not part of hotel so they charge.) The staff were brilliant, always polite and upbeat but never pushy. The entertainment is also first class and fun. I would definitely go there again.

i had been to this hotel around 6 years ago & enjoyed it then but i have never gone back to a hotel i have stayed in before as i like to try different places. i decided to go back to this hotel & all i can say is that it lived up to my memories & expectations.
the hotel is very clean & the food was very varied & very nice. the hotel is located right on the beach & the beach is probably one of the best on the island (great for kids).
my elder son went to the kids clubs run by the hotel & loved them.
there is plenty of entertainment for the poeple staying at the hotel during the day ranging from darts to football (i played football most days)
if i have a fault with the hotel its that there did not seem to be enough staff serving in the evenings but this may have been due to it being early in the season.

This is a great hotel to visit. It is very clean and the food is superb. You eat like kings. It is not in the heart of clubs and is quite quiet so i recomend this hotel for families. The sataff were very friendly especialy the entertainers who were great with the kids. The kids club did a range of things including night shows and camping. Vicky and javi two of the entertainers and kids club helpers were very good with the kids. The entertaiment at night was great with a range of shows from the mini disco to horror night. i would visit this hotel again and has been a great experience!!!
