This 1970's hotel is ideal for exploring the city. Right on La Rambla, it's a perfect location. We had a penthouse suite, not as glamorous as it sounds, but we had a long roof terrace. It was self- catering and adequate. The water was very salty, only ok for washing.
The gorgeous Placa Reial was just round the corner- a great place to sit, eat and watch the world go by. The rooms were basic but tidy and the staff were helpful. A problem with noise from young guys in next room, just once. It’s not for those who want luxury.
The hotel own the cafe downstairs and the food was ok. I would use the hotel again.
