Our hotel was called the Barcelona Universal on Paral-lel but from the description of previous post this would describe our Hotel exactly but seems to be called by a different name. It was about a 15 minute walk to Las Ramblas but plently of bars on route and some fantastic little Spanish bars close by. The Hotel was immaculately clean with maids attending daily. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only problem we encountered was the key cards to the rooms kept failing but this was soon resolved with a visit to reception. If I were to return to Barcelona again I would definitely stay at this Hotel again and would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel to anyone.

This hotel is just outside the main tourist area in the Montjuic but is a easy 15 minute walk to Las Ramblas, with lots of bars to stop of at if you wish. The taxi ride from the airport costs 17
