The bungalows are very basic, not ideal if you have children.
Most of the bungalows are in desparate need of refurbishment. Our bungalow was terrible. It was dirty, beds were broken, cats had poohed outside the room, bathroom was manky.
All in all I would not recommend these apartments.
The only good thing I can say about it is the pool was clean!

A very clean, safe apartment, cleaners come in 5 days a week and change towels and sheets every other day.
Our apartment was right by the pool which was also cleaned 5 days out of 7, the maintenance staff were very helpful, and even helped us get rid of a cockroach, the only one we saw in 2 weeks, Rina and Chris ran the Coral bar and were a very nice couple, and would recommend any of Rina's homemade cooking.
Although there was no evening entertainment we met some very nice families and entertained ourselves.
We would definitely go back to the same apartments soon.

This is the second time we have been to these apartments.
They are clean and tidy the maid comes in 5 times a week they are great. Close to all the shops pubs and beach.
The pool bar is run by Chris and Rina they are great. Rinas cooking is fab good value for money.
The pool is nice and good for children of all ages. We would definitely go back again this is a good place to go on holiday.
Dont understand some of the other reports I think they are a bit harsh. We had a brill holiday.

All I can say is excellent,the location is a good base for the shops and the beach is only 10 mins away.
We met Chris and Rina who run the hotel pool bar{bar coral},Rina does all home made food and I have to say this is excellent as we ate there every day,good prices and big portions(try her home made pies). Everyone was very friendly looking forward to going again!
Rooms were cleaned every day and only one cockroach for the entire stay.

Bungalows were well maintained and kept very clean. we saw a couple of cockroaches and lots of cats.
We were told not to feed them but they were very friendly so we did cos the kids couldnt resist.
The pool area was lovely and the bar staff were very friendly although they did close very early at night.
Our bungalow was away from the pool area but our kids are older so didnt really matter. Accom is very near the bars and restauraunts and the beach.
We had a fab hol and wish we had gone for two weeks and would definitely go again

Stayed at these bungalows for one week and was delighted with everything about it. Very child friendly with no hazards like steps or exits to main roads .
Immaculate accommodation. Pool area fantastic for my kids. The poolside bar is run by Chris and Rina who provide brilliant meals and they are huge portions. Excellent value for money.
Lovely surroundings and very good value for money. the complex is so close to all the outside shops and bars, which makes it a very centrally based holiday and only ten minutes transfer from the airport.
I would highly recommend Castillo Puerto bungalows and will definitely return in the very near future.

It was a brill place to stay. Close to shops and beach. The apts were cleaned 5 times a week staff were very friendly. Bar was ok food served was very nice, with big portions. Me and my family are going back again this year. THE POOL WAS GREAT LOVLEY CHILDRENS POOL. I would definatly recomend staying here.

Bungalows were great - clean but basic - exactly as specified in the brochure. We had a bunglaow that looked out onto the pool area - this was on occasion a little noisy at night with the Pool Bar, but to be honest it wasn't really much of an issue.
The staff were friendly and helpful - we reported a broken lightswitch on arrival and this was fixed within an hour.
Rooms cleaned and beds made everyday (except Sunday) which is nice !!!
Bit of an ant problem - but keep the floors clean and keep everything in the fridge and you will be OK - didn't see any cockroaches at all.
The pool and "community" feel was really good - with the complex being quite small its a real good feel and very safe for the kids.
All in all a great holiday and would recommend the bungalows.

Reception was very helpful, and you can buy a starter pack for 15 euros, which includes beans, bacon, water, tea and sugar. All the basics to get you started.
Our apartment had a pool view which was good, because if you stopped in the others, you have a wall to look at. Not good. The apartment was a bit on the small side, even for 3. There was a room with two single beds, and a sofa in the lounge area. We had to move one single bed out of the bedroom and put it into the lounge, so that me and my partner could sleep together and not disturb my daughter while she was sleeping. It was cosy on the night, but would have a liked to have slept in a proper double bed.
Cockroaches visited us about 7 times, and we also brought one home, so make sure that when you are leaving, you shake all you clothes and toiletry bags before you leave, as that can infest.
The room was cleaned every other day, so that was good, and always had clean towels. I only had one occasion when the hot water ran out. If you are thinking of having a TV, don't bother. We had a guy come and put it in, then told us he can't get a signal, there is even a TV card holder to get your channels, but that didn't work. We had to have our money back.
Make sure you get a fan, as there is no air conditioning. Good idea to take a DVD player and radio to keep you ammused. You also get a good view of the underside of airplanes, which pass over about every 30 minutes, but you get used to it.
We managed to get sunbeds every day, but we were not right by the pool, so it was good.
The fridge in our room was faulty, there was a gap at the top, which made our food go off, my partner had to push the door into shape to close it better. It was fine after that.

My wife and I stayed in one bungalow away from the pool,very peaceful but with no view from the veranda.
My daughter, her husband and two year old son stayed in a bungalow near the pool with a patio overlooking a quiet road. The rooms were a good size, perfectly adequate. My grandson enjoyed the pool.
We all enjoyed the service at the bar, after an evening out. It closed about 11.45. The rooms were cleaned every day with bedding changed midweek.
In practice, we didn't spend much time at the Apartments. The location is ideal for restaurants and bars and is 8 minutes walk from the beach.
