I always read these review sites before booking any hotel or package deal so thought it was about time I paid something back and left a review for others!

We have just returned from the Atlantic Gardens 2 days ago and had a fabulous time. Do not let the building work out you off, you would barely notice it! The rooms themselves were spacious, clean and had plenty of storage space. All the usual s/c facilities were there and no extra charge was made for any of these (as we have often experienced in the past!) The hotel grounds and pools were of a good standard and there was always plenty of sunbeds to go round (ideal for those late risers!)

The main street of Corralejo and a small beach were a 10-15 minute walk away, but a visit to the world famous dunes is a must for all beach lovers and was only 3.50 euros in a taxi. There are plenty of good reasonably priced reastaurants in Corralejo but we would recommend the Steak House opposite Waikiki and a 'Parilla Grill-Poco Loco'on the main strip. We only discovered this on our second to last nite but it was that good we returned there for our final evening, as it seemed did half the resort!! I can highly recommend the Prawn Cocktail and Salmon Saute in particular!!

Corralejo itself is a good family or couple resort but would perhaps not suit young single sex groups as nightclubs were few and far between! The resort is predominantly flat so would also be suitable for those with walking difficulties.

I have been to Fuerte. three times now and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The hot weather, cool breeze, pure white sand and clear sea make it an ideal choice whatever time of year you choose to go.

Hotel, rooms, location and pool area were all very good and what I expected. However for those who say the ongoing building work cannot be heard must be deaf. Admittedly our room was overloking the building work but we were woken up at 7.30 each morning to the hammering and beeping of the cranes (even on Saturdays). Didn't let this ruin my holiday but was a bit disappointed after reading on here that the building work was totally unobtrusive.

However when we were by the pool you couldnt hear any noise.

Went to the hotel in 7th Sept - 21st Sept. We really had a good time, don't worry about building work you can see cranes but only hear odd noises from them now and again.

Rooms get cleaned nearly everyday, can be annoying when your still recovering from the night before. You don't get extra toilet roll, you can get it free from reception or just nick it from the cleaners trolly when there not lookin! Not that we did!!!!

The entertainment wasn't very good so be prepared to entertain yourselves!! The staff were all very nice even with our complaints about cold showers everyday!

Reps are really friendly especially Lorraine, make sure you go on reps pub crawl it's a good night out.

Food at the bar is good value for money,

Bars in town are really good. flicks for kareoke, festers for laugh, you must see DJ show. ( don't get to drunk in Neros you'll get chucked out as we found out!!! ) go to Waikiki after these close but not to about 3am

Do a few excursions, definitely go surfing great fun, water park not that good, go on reps Fuerte fever night quite good.

Watch out for cockroaches they go crunch ( only on the streets not in hotel before you get scared ) watch out for cactuses if you fall over in them - they hurt!!!

First off I stayed in the Atlantic Gardens hotel, after reading a few reports on here I was a bit worried but as soon as we got there was instantly reassured.

There is building work going on behind the hotel but it is really quiet and it honestly will not affect you at all, The whole sky line is filled with cranes but no-one ever seems to be working so its fine fine fine.

The hotel was clean and very well presented. The apartments are small but more than adequate. The only down side and honestly this was the same with other places was the smell of sewerage occassionally, on hot days its a belly wrencher, the smell was there often outside the hotel but not once you got into its grounds. The receptionist was really helpfull especially when we kept loosing the key!!!

Watch the bathroom doors especially if you get room 204, dodgy door lock and it took a good half an hour to get back out again! (lol)

I stayed for the second part of my week at the Brissamar. This isn't an English aimed com-lex like the Atlantic Gardens. It has one huge pool and in my opinion was a nicer place. Not for any particular reason other than it wasn't filled with the typicall english louts on hols - although in fairness there was only a couple of them staying in our resort.

Like the Atlantic Gardens there was no evening entertainment but there is so much to do in the town you just aint bothered. The atlantic gardens closed their pool at 6pm where as in the Brissamar it was open all night, very very cold though.

The rooms here were fab, but cause it aint aimed at the english the hotel staff were not as fluent as in the Atlantic Gardens.

We are a couple and visited the apartments in August 2005.
The rooms were cleaned nearly every day and towels changed three times a week. The only problem we had was running out of toilet paper and the cleaners didn't seem to replace them until the end of our holiday.

The pool was thoroughly cleaned every day and the rest of the hotel was always clean and tidy.

The reception staff were very helpful and all spoke fluent English. The bar staff were good and friendly. The only poor part of the hotel was the entertainment. In the day time it was non existent and the night time was just BAD. However, there is plenty to do in the town which is not far away. So there is no need to stop at the hotel.

There is entertainement for all the family and young couples.
The beaches which we visited which were near the hotel were very clean and safe. There is a supermarket on site but it did have limited stock. There is much larger supermarket a few minutes walk away.

We went on the quad excursion which was a real good laugh and a good day out. The Ocean cat was fantastic and a must. Whilst we were sailing the dolphins joined us and swam with the catameran. All in all a great holiday.

We would definately return to atlantic gardens.

The overall stay was great. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Linen changed often and were cleaned 5 times a week.

The pool area was cleaned every day and in general the apartments as a whole were spotless.

Staff were all very pleasant and spoke english. There was the occasional game of Water Polo during the day, but didn't stay on site too often and can't comment about the evening as was always in the town. There was Happy Hour at the bar for half price drinks between 19:00 and 20:30 (beware no large beer glasses!!)

A 10 minute walk into town to bars/restaurants/shops etc, but be prepared to be hassled to eat in the different places.

Town beach was approx 5 minutes walk away, but for 4 euros a taxi ride to the Sand Dunes was well worth it.

Also a great day out and only 5 minutes walk away is the Baku water park.

Would consider staying there again if we return to the island.

We Booked this holiday having visited Fuerterventura some years before and found it quite quiet so was a little apprehensive about the island and hoping it had much more to offer us entertainment wise.

The appartments were pretty much basic and kept quite clean however the poolside area was less looked after. The restaurant area was a nightmare and on more than 2 occasions we found us having a row with the waiting on and bar staff who seemed to think people ought to be served on the size of their order rather than in turn which really annoyed me having on several lunchtimes waited for well over an hour for a toasted sandwich whilst other customers were getting their food well in advance of us and yet we were seated first.

The staff at times were rude and certainly didnt understand the meaning of first come first served. The layout seemed daunting at first but we soon found our way around the complex although another gripe we had was that a group of local Spanish youths appeared to gatecrash the complex daily and use the pool much to the people enjoying the pools annoyance and spoiled it but to be fair the security did frog march them off the premises only for them to return the following day.

Despite what might seem a bad holiday it wasnt too bad although I doubt we would return to these particular appartments.

The location was a leisurely stroll to the main centre of the resort where better service and choice in restaurants was to be found.

Entertainment on the complex was vertually nil and the bar closed 11.30 pm but I think this was due to the lack of customers but that said this was enevitable due to the fact their was no entertainment to make residents part with their euros and enjoy a good night on site.

I think if regular good entertainment was available residents would be plentiful in the bar each evening.

We thought the hotel was brilliant. It was clean and well kept. We were lucky and ended up with a two bedroom apartment which was brilliant. The kids loved the choice of the three pools which were never crowed. You didn't have to fight (or pay) for sun beds but some people still put their towels out at 8am!

The reps are brilliant and always on hand to answer any questions or just to chat. The building work isn't too bad, so don't let it put you off.

The entertainment is very poor, but plenty of bars etc in the town in the evening instead. Bar food is ok for snacks, didn't eat in the restaurant but people who did had mixed views. The staff are a mixed bunch but on the whole really friendly once you get them chatting, the girls on reception are great.

Atlantic Gardens is very well kept and very very clean!

Just a 5~10 minute walk to the stunning beach with gorgeous blue sea witch is very warm.

The staff are very kind and helpful. Especially the reps and entertainment managers even though the entertainments rubbish. Well rubbish is a bit cruel average but our last night was excellent the bongo dancers. Wow!!
