We have nothing but praise for our stay at Monica Beach.

Everyone from the maids, bar and dining room staff, reception, entertainment team were always smiling and polite.

The rooms were cleaned daily, to a very high standard. A nice touch was the little vases of flowers left by the maids. Everywhere was very clean and staff were busy making sure it stayed that way.

The food was also very good. Being all-inclusive you can eat three good meals per day, and if that isn't enough you can also obtain snacks from different bars around the complex. You had two sittings for the evening meal and there was always plenty of food available. One of us is a 'veggie' and found plenty to eat; they do some lovely salad dishes. We did not see any empty serving plates for the whole two weeks as they were constantly replacing any food that was running low.

The entertainment was the only slight downside, although they were very enthusiastic with shows put on by the complex 'Animation Team'. There was entertainment laid on for children, who always seemed to be enjoying themselves. The professional acts were quite good.

The complex has two swimming pools, the quieter one has two water slides. Both pools have bars, providing a lovely place to sit and watch others swimming.

If you like beaches, this is the best bit. One of the bars faces the beach, where you can watch volleyball, windsurfers and people just generally enjoying themselves.

We will definitely be going back!

We arrived quite late at the hotel , about 9:30pm and were directed to our room with a map which was difficult to follow as the gentleman on reception did not know his left from his right. We were told that the restaurant was open with a meal ready for us, but unfortunatly for us it was a fish salad and none of our family eat fish. We thought we would get a snack at one of the bars, but unfortunatly none of the bars served snacks after 6.00pm.

The hotel itself was beautiful we could not fault the cleanliness or layout or location. We were right next to the pool with the slide, so it was nice and easy to get towels on the beds first thing.

The unfortunate thing that we were not told until we reached the hotel was that it was a german resort and hotel. Most of the staff were german and spoke some english, but at times it could be difficult to make yourself understood. They were however very helpful when our 9 year old son and his friend wandered off and organised a search of the two bar / pool areas quickly.

The food was ok, but it was a bit 'samey' for the kids, always chips, with some kind of nuggets, the little signs showing what was in 'todays mystery rice' were rarely in english, but the icecream was most welcome. I have sat in cooler sauna's than the restuarant at 6.00pm at night, we were'nt told that we could only go to our allocated sitting, only finding this out when someone from the second sitting wanted to go out for the night and have their dinner early.

We enjoyed our holiday and the resort, however we would not go back as it was 98% germans, which made life more difficult for us and particularly the kids as they only met a few other english children to play with over the 2 weeks and ended up a little isolated.

Nice place, nice people, a little too cosmopolitan for a young family.

The all inclusive two week package my family and I went on to Monica Beach Hotel was a fantastic deal, we believe we were spoilt rotten for our first ever holiday abroad.

The accomodation was spotless and cleaners were around every day to change bedding and give the place a good cleaning. Litter was non existant on what to us seemed a fairly large complex.

We booked in at about 11pm and the receptionist told us they had kept the restaraunt open, just in case we felt hungry. We knew from the second we arrived that we had landed on our feet and the friendly atmosphere hit us straight away.

The food was lovely and boy was there plenty to choose from. Salads galore, sea food and cooked meals could not be faulted. The restaraunt itself was quite large, but it did get rather warm at times and better air conditioning would be a plus.

There are a few steep areas, especially on the way down to the beach, but you can live with that once you see the beautiful sandy beach itself. Parasols and sunbeds galore, more than enough for all and the beach was clean and spacious.

It would be true to say the entertainment was lacking, not a lot for the teenager, but the younger kids had nightly shows of the teenie bop style.

Plenty of space for swimmers, the pools were clean and kept that way, my son and daughter loved the water shute situated next to a bar which supplied the kids with snacks all day long.

The bar staff, especially at night were fantastic and could not do enough to please and entertain us oldies with a few bottle spinning acts, dancing and singing.

We have just returned from a week staying at the Monica Beach. It was great and we cant wait to return. The hotel itself is very spread out, with several steep slopes leading to the beach, so is not much good for anyone with walking difficulties. It must be quite hard for those people pushing buggies too! Having said that, the complex is very clean and tidy. The maid service is excellent. We even had the hand towels folded into swans and heart shapes with flowers in them! The food is quite good, but can be a bit monotonous after a week, although there is always plenty to choose from. The kids menu always included chips but there was much more besides. The beach was really fantastic. Loads of space, loads of sunbeds (7.40 euros a day for two and a parasol) it was cleaned every morning so no litter etc. The only let down was the entertainment which was mostly done by the staff and a bit amateurish. The bar for evening entertainment was also under the restaurant, and it was a shame not to be able to see the evening sun. Still, it was really good and want to go again. A note to families: We went during half term week and there were plenty of younger children there (mainly German but quite a few English)but most of them seemed to be under ten. There would not be much for teenagers to do.

The hotel was excellent. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We really could not fault the hotel in anyway.

The complex is very well set out (no highrises) The pools and terrace areas are lovely.
