I went to the Sunwing hotel with 5 of my friends.
It was a brilliant holiday the hotel was cleaned all the time early in the morning(which isnt good if you have been out the night before) the location is quite good it isnt too far away from Kasbah(a really good comercial centre) the pool at the hotel was nice and clean and very big.
the entertainment is quite a good laugh especially the bingo!! There was alot of things to see and do the best thing is to hire a car/Jeep and have a little explore.
the food in the La Tesa isnt very nice but is cheap. the breakfast is good 5 euro all you can eat.
only bad thing was alot of people were there and you cant always get a sunbed :(
But all in all it was a great holiday i would go again. Worth the money!!!!

My first holiday abroad. What can I say? I was nervous as hell, thought I was going to end up in a shack in the middle of nowhere. How wrong I was.
This hotel/apt was fantastic. I really would go back to this place. The staff was fantastic as were the reps (especially the dishy Gething).

Quality! these appartments are top draw and i would definetly go again there is everything you need at hand. I would even go as far in saying its the best holiday ive been on a week wasnt long enough though!!!!!!

I stayed in the Royal apartments on the top floor; they were very clean and spacious and had a nice private balcony. I did not find it too hot at night but it was only May.
The food in the restaurant was disappointing to say the least, I definitely would not recommend going all inclusive.
The mini market is very good, the pool is first class, it is incredibly clean and there is a life guard on duty all day.
The Airtours reps certainly attempted to keep the kids entertained. I found the entertainment a little boring but I think they did their best.
Gran Canaria itself is a little tacky, apart from perfume there isn't really a lot you would buy.
If I was going there again I would stay at Sunwing the cleanliness of the pool and apartments plus the convenience of the mini market made for an enjoyable holiday. I think this is probably the best hotel you will find in Playa des Ingles

The hotel was in a perfect location...it was far enough from bars and clubs to be able to enjoy a relaxing night in, yet only a small walk away from such places when in the 'partying' mood.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and generally speak very good English. I was surprised at the willingness to help that the staff showed. Really helpful no matter what, even when we lost ourd door card after a night out!!
Security guards are always at the hotel entrance, so safety and security of belongings is almost certain. For those wanting to take non-residents back to their room...Good Luck!! The security guards are on top form!!
The mini-market is well stcoked and quite cheap, although there is a Spar 30 seconds round the corner, which is cheaper again.
The cash machine and number of taxis available at the hotel is great, as is the entertainment laid on everynight by the Airtours reps, for all at the hotel to enjoy.

we came back in Sept 02 Myself, partner and two children. the hotel was excellent very clean, the pool was immaculate and big with a lifeguard, activities during the day where good. buffet resturant and taskas bar were both good, drink a bit on the pricey side in the hotel. the airtours reps were on every night doing cabaret and audience participation, kids mini disco and bingo. the only problem been the entertainment stopped at 11.30 and everyone put in the bar which closed at 1.00am.
there is a cash machine in the hotel and taxis outside the entrance all the time, of which are very cheap wherever you go on the island. aqua sur is really good for all ages. and also palomitos park where eagles are in free flight if you go to mc donolds on the beach you can get tickets for the kids to in free for the aqua sur and palomitos park.There are quite alot of cc.centres near the hotel including the yumbo,kasbar,shaparel the only fault about the hotel is you have to pay for the tv. there is a courtesy bus to the beach as it is quite far.
bus runs every half hour. on the whole very good!

I have been to the sunwing on three occasions and i would recomend it to anyone i could find no faults.
The staff were fab the pool was cleaned every day it was just fab on every visit

Myself my fiance and two friends stayed at the sunwing resort.
It was fantastic and have talked about going back ever since! We went self catering and found the food served at La Tasca was more than adequate and reasonably cheap.
We found that it was a really good place to stay if you just wanted a relaxing holiday as there were restrictions that after midnight the noise was to be kept to a minimum, which it was during our stay!
The hotel itself was very clean and presentable in apperance which looked like more than a 3* hotel. There was also a complimentary bus laid on to transfer you to the beach and back.
The location of sunwing i feel is an ideal place as you are within reach of the beach and shops,overall a short taxi ride away. I felt that the hotel staff were quite pleasent and spoke good english and were very helpfull as were the reps.
The evening entertainment was acceptable too which we enjoyed and there was also a happy hour between 11 and 12 which when you think about it was mad as you had to quieten down come midnight!! But we found that amusing anyway and if things got a bit too rowdy there was always the hotel guard/security to remind you to keep it down!
Yes we would definatley go back again it was a fab holiday with plenty of sunshine!!but most of all regardless to the price which we paid for the holiday the view we had of maspalomas was fantastic especially the sun set!!

I thought this hotel was amazing. The entertainment was great and so was the food. We stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks but for me it went so and too quickly. I thought the staff were really helpfull and friendly. I can't pick out any weak points about this hotel and for anyone who is thinking about going here, DO!!!!.

I found this accomodation wonderful. Lots to do at the apt htl. staff are great with kids, big pool with lots of activites planned for through the day. Reception very helpful, snacks cheap. Rooms very modern and spacious. Great entertainment several times a week from the reps.
Very good location for bars and restaraunts but not ideal for beach lovers as it is a taxi or bus ride away. The beach at playa del ingles is not the best but is surrounded by lots to do. Take a trip also to Puerto Rico, the beaches there are nicer.
Sand dunes next door at Maspalomas are great to have a sunbathe but beware especially with small children, the sand dunes are a great escape for Germans who like to strip off to avoid their white bits.
