San Agustin sounded small and quiet in the brouchure - but when we walked down to the beach we found quite a few shops and bars. The walk from the hotel to the centre of the resort was fine - all down hill - although quite a few steps along the way and no proper pavements - but the road was quiet. Definately need to get a taxi back up to the hotel though !!

San Agustin was very quite, really a small town or large village. But, there was a free bus to Palma Nova, which is really a tourist haven. Or if you caught the Number 3 or 6 from either outside Belvedere or from San Agustin, for 1.50 Euro you can go into Palma City.
The entertainment however, is provided by the hotel and is geared very much towards kiddies. Mini disco every night between 8.45 pm and 9.45 pm and then loosely termed 'adult' entertainment....bingo etc. Most people seem to take thier own cards! However, the outside bar stays open and you can see under the stars, drinking and chatting too.
The beach was rocky but watching the little boats was fun.

San Agustin was clean you have a few shops and bars we never found the beach just the marina but we never walked to far due to the thought of the 238 stone steps you have to climb to get back to the hotel.

There is no way I will be returning to San Agustin its just to quiet

Local beach and shops down the hill but free bus to Palma Nova every half hour where you can get everything including a Mcdonalds.

San Augustin is a quiet place with very little in the way of shopping, entertainment or eateries. Most of these can be found in abundance in Playa del Ingles.

Absolutely awful, dire. Worst resort I have ever been to. Hotel on the edge of a motorway, nothing to admire apart from grey prison-like hotels. Saving grace was the beach was directly at back of hotel but even the outlook there was pretty grim. Would highly recommend you go elsewhere.

the hotel is closer to puerto rico but within walking distance to amadores! amadores beach is nicer than puerto rico tho! we went up to the europa centre one night and its ok but a bit more for familys the main comercial centre in puerto rico is buzzing tho as were a young couple in our early twentys we like to go out drinking linekers is good and really cheap and tropicana and tiffanys is good especially as there welsh bars and were welsh but there is loads to choose from and there is and excellent reastraunt called san miguels its very busy but really good food!

The resort of Cala Major is about a 10 minute walk either down quite a few steps or down a fairly steep hill but it is still a nice walk just remember there are no pavements all the way down.

There is a small spar shop about 2 minutes walk from the hotel which sells most things and a bus stop just outside the hotel which goes to Palma city and various other places which is quite good.

There are some good trips also look out for the pirates show and take the old wooden train into Sollamar, they are both worth doing.

We didn't see much of San Agustin, preferring to take taxis to other resorts but we did venture onto the beach which was never very busy and always seemed clean. Taxis are very cheap so for £3 you can get to the bigger resorts.

There seemed to be plenty of shops and places to drink in the resort but, as we were a bit out of it, up a large hill or 200+ steps, we didn't see much of the resort.
