Quite the worst place I've ever stayed in. The apartments are located at the top of a steep hill, overlooking McDonalds and a commercial centre, that blares out karaoke loud enough to make the broken shutters shake - until 4am.

The mould, the ceiling that was flaking and falling down, the broken shower, the broken windows, the broken door to enter our level of the apartments - in the end First Choice moved us (the rep agreed how appalling the place was)but charged us again for the privilege of staying somewhere that was clean and furnished.

The stray cats and roaches provided some diversion from the other horrors. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and refused us a safety deposit box (later admitting, in Spanish, that they thought the place was dire). The swimming pool tiny - and by the road.

Stay anywhere else - it's got to be better than this hell hole!

Arizona apartments, stayed for 1 week, it was a run down slum!!! Smelt dirty damp.

When we arrived it was 3.30 am, pulled the sheets back on the bed it was crawling, ants(orange) bugs (black)complained was given a can of mosquito spray?

Insisted they look at apartment, they did, give us the keys to the next door apartment, apart from the bugs the two apartments were the same, all the doors internal had been kicked in, they all had botched repairs done to them, bits of thin wood nailed over the damaged doors, one hit on the front and bottom door would have opened them no problem, every internal door was broken, single glass on the balcony door with 2 loose screws holding the whole lock on?

Greenary hanging down from a trestle type structure from above the living room window blocked all the light coming into the apartment and we could not open the one bedrooms shutters, because of overgrowth, no clean sheets while we were there, beds were mortifying, bed settees were disgracefull full of fag burns and smelt terrible.

We had to take the sheets off the beds to put on the settees to be able to sit down! We layed on top of the eiderdown because the beds smelt so bad!

With towels over the pillows because they smelt! Reported leak in shower, man turned up to fix it, didnt do any good shower still leaked, reported the downstairs toilet door wouldnt open, they opened it to find, bare elecric wires hanging down from the light, thick mould on the walls and a pool of water on the floor where the shower must have been leaking for a long time and finding it's way through to the downstairs toilet!

Complained again to be given the key to the first apartment we were given when we arrived,(bugs) took a look anyway to see if they had done repairs on it, they hadnt, the same as the apartment we were now in,so we did our own repairs and stayed in the slum we were in, we asked for another apartment, they told us full.

There were over 60 steps to go to the pool, there were over 60 steps to go anywhere, then 60+steps back, no where in the brochure did it say there were lots of steps, the lifts didnt work, to get to the lifts you have to walk up the top of the complex and to find them not working you have to walk all the way back.

I was disgusted at the apartment, maid came in every other day, not weekends, she was in the room 15 minutes so called cleaning.

The cockroaches loved whatever was in the water she used to clean the floors, as we had loads when she left, and ants everywhere, over the work tops, over the floors,in the beds and they liked the shower!

It was a dirty run down hovel, it was a slum, I didnt come from a slum and I am angry to have paid over 1100 for my family to be subjected to a dirty filthy slum they call a holiday.

We complained in reception we complained to the rep, I have now made a formal complaint in writing to first choice, it is 6 pageslong.

Break-ins still occuring - two we heard of this week. Civil Guard seen on site last Saturday.
The noise from the commercial centre goes on until 4.30 - followed by drunken behaviour until abot six.

Rooms very warm at night - fans should be provided at no extra cost as you cannot open windows due to noise and break-ins.

Apartment spacious and clean and well appointed.

Didn't use pool - too small for 92 apartments and towels on sunbeds from early although not used until later. No umbrellas although shown in brochure.

6 - Evening Entertainment foul mouthed (not good for young kids!!!)
7 - Pool bar really expensive.
8 - Cockroaches inside and out.
9 - Very loud in the Europa centre till 3.30am in the morning.

Read quite a mix of reviews on this one and I think it must depend on which apartment you stay in.

There was only two of us and we had a large two bedroom apartment allocated to us. We arrived at about 3 in the morning and although the receptionist seemed to speak no English he showed us where to stay.

Our rooms were cleaned daily and linen changed just about as often. The lifts worked the whole time. The pool was clean and we always got a lounger.

The snack was bar was reasonably priced ( especially at happy hour!) and the food was fine for lunch/snacks(lasagne&chips were yum).

The security was good and we were fully informed about break-ins when we arrived and got told off if we ever went out and left either our windows or balcony open.

No-one was broken into in the fortnight we were there but my drunken bf did chase a dodgy guy prowling about when we got in late one night!

The apartments are opposite the main centre so its very noisy if you dont go out but very handy if you do!the bars are all great fun and all have good offers on.

There were a lot of stray cats/kittens but we didnt mind coz we missed ours!one kitten was ran over at the front of the apartments and left fo days which was mingin.

No cockroaches. No ants.

On our departure day we had to be out by 12 but got offered the use of another apartment to shower etc in the evening and it was an absolute dump.couldnt have been more different from ours.

So it seems to be luck of the draw here!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our first holiday abroad together. We were both a bit apprehensive because we hadn't been away alone before and we had read reviews about it being broken into a lot. At one point I even considered asking to change accommodation because I was very worried.

When we first arrived the man at reception was very abrupt and didn't speak very good english, but I will let him off because it was about 3.30am- he was probably just fed up! The room was very big and spacious and felt very homely. It was on two floors. There was a couple of cracks in tiles but nothing major.

We could lock all doors and windows to ensure we weren't broken into. The room was very hot as I don't think they was air conditioning but you could hire a fan along with a huge list of other things in reception.

We hired the safe in our room for about 15 euros and ten euro deposit. We didn't ever go to the pool but it looked very clean, and we didn't ever stay for evening

Entertainment but they seemed to make a good effort! As there are only 92 rooms, there weren't many people about but that didn't bother us because we went to the beach.

The shower door was broken a little and there was just enough hot water for the two of us but nothing too bad- we could live with it. The apartments were kept in good condition and they were very pleasant to stay in.

As we had a late flight, we spoke to reception about keeping our room all day and the receptionist kindly explained that we could pay to do that or for free could arrange a time to use the shower in the evening for half an hour. We chose to keep our room to avoid any inconvenience.

I didn't think it was too noisy at night, I only heard the odd coach go by but we were at the top, furthest away from the town centre. The cleaners were friendly and did a very good job. We only saw one tiny cockraoch. We were very pleased with the accommodation and although it was only basic, it had everything you needed and all information was found in reception.

I would like to go again but I would probably opt for somewhere with more facilities, but that's my preference. I was very pleased with Arizona apartments and don't have any complaints really. If you are careful about locking your room up, I can't imagine someone could break-in.

Just got back from the Arizona apartments, had a lovely holiday, large apartments, quite basic but clean.

Plenty of room inside for two couples, not that we spent much time inside the apartment, as it was so nice sitting outside on the patio area, lovely flowers all around you.

Alright we were at the top and had quite a few steps to walk up from the pool, but after all the eating we had done it done us more good than harm, looked like most families with children were lower down, which was a good idea. Pool was very nice and clean, enjoyed the picture quiz every day at 12.30pm. Eventualy won it on our last day,(Welsh Dragons).

Only down side, the noise at night-early morning, up until 4.30am, from the resort not the Arizona, couldn't sleep with our window open, don't know how they get away with it, something should realy be done about it, but that was the only down side about the holiday.

Arrived on the Monday had heard reports of break-ins at the Arizona apartments before we travelled and by the end of the week we had been broke in-to along with 2 other groups in which one man had lost everything. Staff not to keen to help, pretended they did not understand English but will say this the police interpreter who we had to pay 35 euros for, could not do enough for us very helpful indeed.

Most up setting will not be going back to this place again.

Just got back from the Arizona Apartments yesterday.
Great apartments, fully equipped, even has a microwave!

The location is excellent for the bars, shops and beach.
Best place to eat is the San Miguel restaurant, on the ground floor of the commercial centre, but you may have to queue as its very busy.

We had one cockroach for each day we were there. Apparently cats are encouraged in the complexes as they eat the roaches....with one exception, the cat that adopted us.
We stayed in apartment no 8 and a lovely black cat adopted us, very friendly and loved nothing better than sleeping on your lap.

If you stay anywhere near the apartment we stayed in keep an eye out for a well fed black cat with a small piece of his ear missing, answers to the name of Puss-Puss, he is a really soppy cat and loves fuss.

Useful bit of info - apparently the cats that have a piece of their ear missing have been "done" by the cats protection league and they clip a piece of the ear to identify them.
