Originally booked the Lanzarote Princess which I reviewed on that page. Asked to be moved the following morning and so glad I did!

This hotel is beautiful, the restaurant is superb and the pool area is wonderful for children.......huge circular pool but shallow all the way to the middle. There is also a small pool for babies and small toddlers. My gransdon is 6 and the water was just above his waist. The adult pool is separate and is divided by the pool bar/retaurant so no chance of them wandering into it.

Childrens entertainment is ok but it is the same songs in the same order, every night however they still seem to enjoy it and it's the only thing I could make any kind of negative comment about. Would go back here anytime!

First impressions on arrival at the hotel were excellent.

It looked palacial, all the staff were extremely friendly throughout the whole holiday. The hotel was spotlessly clean and as for the food what can you say, it was without doubt the best I have tasted anywhere in my travels and the variety was amazing and very welcomed with a 10 year old and a 6 year old who are very fussy eaters! Just watch your weight because guaranteed you will over indulge.

The entertainment was excellent with the annamation team working on the sport and games during the day and then the shows during the night. Again they were all very friendly and made a fuss of my two children. without doubt I would visit this hotel again as I can honestly say I cannot fault it.

Finally the price of the drinks including the cocktails was a welcomed suprise in the hotel with a Pina Colada costing 5.50 euros! and the size of the drinks were bordering on doubles! Compare that to this country.

This was the third visit to the hotel for myself, my husband and our two small girls (5 and 2), although the other two visits were great this was definately the best one.

The hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes from the beach and shops and a short walk into the town. The hotel is very clean and tidy, the food is amazing, you are definately spoilt for choice, the desserts are out of this world and so many to choose from.

The staff in the hotel are extremely friendly from the receptionists to the waiters to the maids. The entertainment was 1st class, during the day there was tennis, archery, water aerobics, water polo, to name but a few.

The night time entertainment was great too, mini-disco for the kids followed by a variety of acts. I can't praise the animacion team enough, they were funny, friendly, kind and extremely talented.

The three girls in the team were great with my children and spoilt them rotten with their affection. If you are thinking of going, then make it a definate, you won't be disappointed.

We are already saving to go back next year for the 4th time.

I have just returned from a two week full board stay at the Timanfaya Palace and it was excellent.

There were 2 mums, 4 teenagers (16,16,15,14) and a 7 year old in our party. There was something to keep everyone occupied.

The food was fantastic, a huge variety and again something for everyone including this fussy eater, (forget the diet, just enjoy especially the desserts).

The staff were excellent, not just at reception but in the restaurant too. They smiled a lot, got to know us quite quickly and were always attentive but never intrusive. My daughter had a birthday while we were there and the hotel provided a cake and a bottle of champagne, the waiters and waitresses stood behind her and sang Happy Birthday in Spanish. A lovely gesture from them all for which I thank them.

The grounds, including the swimming pools were very well kept and extremely clean.

The entertainment was good especially the Ghana Show Troop and The Three Divas.

All in all a wonderful holiday and an hotel that I would definitely recommend and return to.

If you are about to go, lucky you, relax and enjoy.

Forget the diet, indulge yourself in the restaurant, join in the aqua-gym, learn to dance by the pool and encourage your children to join in the activities.

This was our second visit to this hotel. The last one was in 2001 and we were delighted to see that the same high standards still prevailed.

Very clean everywhere with spacious rooms and welcome bottle of Cava and fruit on arrival, and a daily paper delivered to the room each morning.

Food was excellent. Hard to see how anyone could not find something to satisfy their tastes given the variety on offer each night, and I am very particular and not that easily pleased!

Entertainment OK. Bee Gees band terrific - a great night. Piano bar good some nights. Other nights it needed a bit more jazz.

Staff overall were excellent - very friendly and helpful.

Hard to fault this hotel at all. Would definitely recommend the Timanfaya Palace as a good hotel with value for money and hope to return again soon

Out of all the holidays we have taken non is to compare with how much we love the Timanfaya and we returned there this year for the third time. The hotel is just brilliant. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. Cleanliness and maid servcice excellant, the hotel is only a short walk into Playa Blanca, the staff are so pleasant and nice and also enthusiastic to help you. The rooms with a sea view are fantastic being spacious and the large beds so very comfy.
The entertainment is not very good but the comfort and the music in the piano bar suits us fine and is even more relaxing after a relaxing day
We have booked to go back next year and we are taking another two couples with us who we are sure will enjoy this hotel as much as we do.

I recommend this hotel highly - especially the food which was the best I have ever had in a hotel of this type. The rooms were kept very clean by very efficient and friendly maids.

The clientele were mainly older types and if you want a quiet break then this is the hotel for you. Entertainment not really that good but I was there for peace and quiet! Only thing missing - an indoor heated pool.

It is about 10 minutes walk into the town of Playa Blanca.

Visited in March 2004.

The hotel was fantastic. It was very clean, all the staff were helpful and friendly.

The location was great - situated right on the seafront with a long promenade perfect for easy strolls. The main resort is 10-15 minutes walk away but there are a few small shops adajacent to the hotel.

The entertainment was good in the disco bar but there is also a piano bar, a little quieter for evening drinks.

It is worth hiring a car. There are many sights to see, particulary those relating to Cesar Manrique and it would be shame to visit Lanzarote and miss these.
