the hotel was the filthiest i have ever stayed in. holes in the sheets and pillow cases :changed after we complained,9 days later,again holes in sheets. Damp and fausty wardrobes, kitchen and oven covered in grease. Fridge, lets just say we ate out for two weeks.
Band aid on blanket, blood on settee, the list is endless and the hotel pool was no better, kids area was disgusting.
Staff,few and far between. Entertainment, only kareoke.
I was assured by the rep; that this was rated 3T but it only has 2T on the front gate. If this was 3T the person who rated it for Thompson should be ashamed. In our opinion it should be bulldozed.

We have been to this complex 5 times and absolutely love it.
The staff are really friendly.
The bungalows are very clean and well equipped and the gardens and pool area spotless.
It is just right location wise as we like to be out of the hustle and bustle but are near enough to walk into at night for dinner.
The lack of entertainment is no prob to us as we like the quieter places anyway. We love it so much we are going back again this November.

The best accommodation I have stayed in to date. Very clean, very private (like having your own villa)If you have a corner bungalow (which we had) you have your own little exit - a short cut to the main centre of Puerto del Carmen. Will save you a walk through reception. However with the picturesque gardens-There will be no complaints !!!
In an excellent position, bars, restaurants and shops and of course the beach, just a short walk away.

We dont usually go on holiday self catering but as it was a late booking we had to. However, this wasnt a problem atall as the apartments were only a short walk from lots of fantastic bars and restaurantes. The apartment was very clean and the maids were very friendly. We didnt mind that there was no night time entertainment because again it was only a short walk from some great bars. We especcially enjoyed the Harley Rock Bar. The apartment staff were always willing to help you and were always friendly. We only ate in the restaurante once at the apartments but what we did eat was to a very high standard. The location of the apartments was very nice. Although it was a bit dark and lonely walking home late at night down the roads to the apartments, the quiet atmosphere was very relaxing and we loved it. We would definately recommend these apartments to anyone and we hope to stay there again.

Been holidaying in the Canaries for 10 years mainly Fuerteventura always self catering always at least 3*+ never ever had any reason to complain but frankly this was the worst resort I have ever been to it is in desperate need of some very urgent refurbishment which I understand from Thomson will take place when it closes for 2 months April/May 2005.
The terraced area around the pool is falling apart and was not cleaned or swept at all during our 2 week stay.
The pool itself is dirty.
They are attempting to start the refurbishment on some apartments at the moment so if you stay within the resort you hear constant hammering ( chiselling tiles off walls) and the constant use of an angle grinder it does start to get on your nerves a bit.
One hot breezy day whilst in the pool a decorator started to scrape paint off the sides of apartments adjacent to the pool showering all in the pool in paint flakes.
The entertainment was cancelled on at least 4 nights and in any case there is no entertainment on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
The only really good thing about Hyde Park was the staff. Very friendly.

This was a great family hotel it was very clean a bit private.
The pool was a good size, and I would concirder it to everyone who looks at it and thinks that it looks nice.
Every evening we went to a club or a disco and stayed there until we were all getting tired.
The food was brilliant it was tasty and filling it was a great holiday.

We arrived at the Hyde Park Appts at lunchtime and received a lovely welcome.
Our apartment was much bigger than we could have hoped for and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We did encounter 2 cockroaches on our stay but reception were happy to give us the spray we needed to annihilate the little horrors.
The cleaners come every other day and do an excellent job.
We had an excellent holiday here despite being the only single females at the apartments. All the families were very friendly and the Richella and Maureen and Vanessa who work the bar are absolutely wonderful. The food at the bar was really nice as well.

We arrived at the apartments at about 6.30 in the evening and were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception who gave us our keys and explained where the apartment was.
The apartment was very clean and completly bug free. It appeared to have been recently refurbished and although basic had all the necessary things for our holiday.
The pool was lovely and the lovely Irish lady in the pool resturant made us very welcome.
The apartments had a little but very well stocked shop for the basics needed like Water and Ice-creams.
I would recommend these apartments to families without hesitation, and I would especially recommend the Monday Night Parrot Show and BBQ a really great night and not very expensive.

Hyde Park Lane Bungalows is very well maintained. Bungalows are cleaned thoroughly 5 days a week with towel changes every time. There is an on-site restaurant which is reasonably priced and has a choice of buffet or a la carte menu. The food is very nice. They also provide a take-away menu which was handy and was good 'fast food'. The location is quiet and set back from the beach by a couple of roads. Yet it is within easy reach of the lively Puerto del carmen. It felt very safe and the walk ways gardens and pool are all clean and well maintained. The staff are very helpful and all speak good English. We did not stay in for the small amount of entertainment that was provided and to be honest we were glad that there wasn't much on-site as we liked the peaceful surroundings to come back to in the evenings. We will definitely be going back to Hyde Park Lane Bungalows soon.

We arrived at the apts at 10.30 at night to find no one to greet us our first impresion was oh my god what have we done .
After finding a note taped to the office window we located our apartments and found the keys had been left in the door locks for us. No thanks to our rep as he dumped us with three kids and not a clue what to do or where to go.
On entering our rooms and switching the lights on we found cockroaches running under the beds behind the headboards and wiggling under the sink. you can imagine the screams from two moms who had left our hubbies at home and bought our kids on a weeks easter break .
After sweeping out our visitors we thought we would go to the bar , we were greeted by a lovely irish lady who gave us some spray and said it wasn't usual for this to happen. After a couple of drinks we set off to bed but didnt get much sleep.
Next morning we reported our problem to reception and they said that the rooms had been fumagated that day and the bugs had come out to die ,she told us we would not have any more problems and this was so .
The kids made lots of friends. The food in the resort was fab as was the weather and as my friend and i cleaned our own apartments we settled down for a good relaxing week of sunbathing. If you are planning a holiday here and dont mind bringing all your own towels [They were grotty] and cleaning gear. Then ask for one of the refurbished rooms.
We drew the short straw by booking alocation on arrival. We made the most of our holiday and thought the place looked better in daylight. We met a few families who return year after year, and came to the conclusion that perhaps we were too fussy ,that is before the swarm of flies and ants nest appeared as we were packing on the last day .what more can i say?thomsons say its 3 star the sign on the door [under the dust]says 2 keys.I rest my case.
