andy speirs stayed at Tropicana Apartments Hotel in September 2007
excilent stay for 2 glorious weeks this was the second time i stayed here tilola was the first time she was lovley and nice 2nd time there was a man cant remember his name he was great and friendly nothing was to much for him we even watched the grand prix with him and i would stay there again its ok if your in a wheelchair as i am i just got taxis back at night was not much but the hill down to main road was thrilling if you go with a wheelchair make sure someones holding on lol

Colin & Margaret visited the Tropicana Apartments, Puerto Del Carmen, Spain in November 2006
Location good a short stroll to the beach and shops,
apartments are a bit dated, kitchenette very basic could not cook in even if you wanted to, towels only changed twice in two weeks and linen once.
Security was a joke two break-ins in a week, one while the occupants were asleep everything of value taken including passport second while the people were out they pulled out the back window and ransacked the place ripping the safe deposit box out of the floor.
Other holidaymakers got a move but as we were near the end we stayed for the last two days, but very nervy.
We would definitely NOT stay at the Tropicana again.

Claire had a holiday at Tropicana Apartments Hotel, Puerto Del Carmen in November 2006
We stayed at Tropicana a couple of years ago and as it\'s ideal for a quiet week without the kids we decided to stay there again.
It\'s very clean - our towels and sheets were changed once during the week and the cleaners came each day. The kitchen is adequate for breakfast but not much else which is fine because there\'s so many restaurants a short stroll away.
The reception lady (same as two years ago) was very friendly and helpful but unfortunate we only saw her on check in as her hours of work seem very sporadic! When we checked out we had to leave our keys (and rented toaster) in our unlocked room as there was no body to hand them over to.

As the safe is key operated it the intruders found it easy to locate the keys and empty the safe contents. It\'s an extremely quiet complex and perhaps at night that\'s not such a good thing.
We were considering returning in February with the children but having now checked out a few message boards it would seem that the break in was by no means an isolated incident. Apparently the apartment doors are very easy to open.
Should we be reasured that new safety procedures have been implemented then we wouldn\'t hesitate staying there again.

The Tropicana Apartments are excellent. They are very clean and the staff are very friendly. The rep, Nick gave us all the entertainment we needed!!! Would visit these apartments again. Not far from main strip but not noisy. Mini supermarkets real close and lots of bars and restaurants only a few minutes away. Ideal for families and couples.

The Tropicana apartments were very clean.
The pool was good size and clean even small baby pool.
All areas/gardens were kept tidy.
The reception lady Tiola was very welcoming and helpful cleaning staff also very cheery. We were often in bed when they came (after a long night) out and if you didn't want them to clean room they left loo roll and towels on patio table.
The location is near front strip but amazingly lovely and quiet at night. There was also no trafic noise due to apartments being at a dead end street.

Would go back again.

Claire stayed at Tropicana Apartments in June 2004
The hotel was very clean, especially the bathroom. The location was perfect, there was no bar, which was really good, because the hotel behind us had a bar and were very noisy. It had a quiet swimming pool, which was safe for the children to swim in. The hotel manager was excellent, she was very warm and welcoming. Me and my family felt extremly safe in the complex, and we were further back frm the main strip, which was perfect!It was lovely to wake in the morning to see blue skies and palm trees. It had many palm trees and plants which made the place look really tropical and beautiful! I would be sure to visit the hotel again!

joyce family stayed at Tropicana Apartments, Puerto Del Carmen, Spain in May 2004
The self catering apartment was very adequate, very clean and rooms cleaned twice a week. This was a very safe and secure small complex with a fair size pool.
Located right in the heart of Puerta del Carmen, just off the main strip, a bit of a hill, so would not recommend for disabled.
There is no entertainment or bar in these apartments, but to be honest we did not miss it.
Would most definitely go back
