Definitely not 5 star .
The rooms are excellent, roomy with A/C - very comfortable. Towels changed daily.
Food lets it down badly with very limited choice. The hotel caters for continentals not British and it shows.
Wine vastly overpriced. Wine in supermarket next door 3.99 euros, same wine in hotel 18 euros.
Pool area is lovely and plenty of beds.
Entertainment - rubbish!

Booked with www.spanishluxuryhotels.com, nice personal service, with good knowledge. Amazing value for money hotel, plenty of space, large entrance area, front desk staff were very helpfull. Bedrooms were large, we had a pool/seaview room with good views. Large comforable beds, extra large bathroom, his & her sinks, separate toilet. Very good sized pools, roof top pool is the best area to get a tan. Breakfasts were good, evening meals were ok but for

This a fantastic all round hotel. the food was second to none. the various bars and restaurants in the hotel are superb, the staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. although at the top of a hill and on a main road it is quiet and peaceful not to be recomended for those who like roudy people and lots of noise. plenty of room by the pools. Towels and bathrobes are supplied nothing was said when i set my own tea/coffee making facilities up in room instead of using room service, in fact maids even washed my cups up. Entertainment at night was exceptional, man at a piano inside and singer outside, disco for children and also a disco for adults on floor -3.

This hotel is fab. Ideal if you want to get away from it all. The pools are huge, not many families with young children stay at this hotel so you can enjoy relaxing in the pool without kids diving on top of you.
The area surrounding the pool is huge so you will always find a spot in the sun and finding a spare sun lounger isn't a problem no matter what time of the day you decide to lounge by the pool, so you don't need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your lounger, you also get a fresh towel daily to use around the pool!
I didn't have a problem with the food, the breakfasts are great and they make fresh omelette's while you wait and I always managed to find something I liked for the evening meal. We didn't really drink at the hotel just one or two with our evening meal we kept a tab and paid for it at the end of the week which was nice as we didn't have to worry about paying after our meal every evening, drinks at the hotel aren't cheap though!
Every part of the hotel is spotless and the staff are very friendly! The hotel rooms are fab, very big in size and the balconies are a decent size too! The beach is about a 5 or 10 min walk from the hotel. The walk down is fine as it is down hill, the walk back is slightly uphill but it isn't too bad just a bit tiring in the heat!
Were going back in October 2005 and I can't wait I am counting down the days!
This hotel is great and I would definately recommend this hotel to any couple (not really families with young children as the evening entertainment may not suit).

wonderful hotel, with large bedrooms. beautiful swimming-pools, the one on the roof is really nice and you can enjoy the view of mountains and ocean from there.
the hotel is at about 500m. from the beach but the beach is not the best part of Tenerife anyway!

Very good value for money, very impressive reception area, rooms lovely and quite large. Even the rooms at back have nice view of mountains. Could be noisy if near tradesmen's entrance. Lovely pools, bit cold in early season, but kids pool excellent. Kids club in great location, but be aware if your kid isn't ver "aware", they don't keep a good eye on them and he could wander off exploring, as did ours. not near beach, but for the money a great quiet location, near supermarket, which is good if you have kids needing food and drink all day. We would go back.
