We 6 ladies from Crewe stayed at the Ocean Beach in February 2004, it was fab!! The hotel and rooms were very clean but there was not enough towels and loo roll for 6 girls.
We thought the food o.k. - you get what you pay for. The situation of the hotel was great for going to other bars and restaurants in the area. Close to the nice beach but the fairly steep incline down was a bit of a struggle getting back up!!!
Evening Entertainment was hilarious!James the compare was brilliant keeping the night going although numbers in the audience were low. Barstaff were very obliging, especially Antonio! Bit of a battle for a sunbed, even in the low season! Taking our boxing gloves next year ready!!
Good all round holiday, see you next feb!

Just wanted to say what a great holiday we had at this hotel. Fantastic bar and restaurant staff, good food, spacious apartments and a entertainment manager with time for everyone. The hotel is about 45 mins walk from Las Americas but with enough bars and restaurants nearby, and about 10 mins walk to the beach with all the beach front bars and resteraunts. Would love to go back now! (we've been home 4 days)

We travelled to the Ocean Beach Apts, in August 2003, I had already looked round this hotel on a previous visit to Tenerife so knew what to expect, but was unsure of the room situation as some of the rooms are "underground" so to speak. What this means is the reception is on road level and pool level which is floor 3(? sorry if this is not correct i can't remember the exact floor it was on) andf the apartments go down to floor 1. We checked in at about half 1 in the morning, and the reception staff dealt with us quickly, unfortunately not as quick as we could find the room, after wandering around the dimly lit corridoors going up and down stairs, we finally found our room. The room itself was nice and spacious and clean, the only disappointment was the cockroach we found crawling across our patio, when first looking out the patio door, needless to say we didn't want to venture out there any more untill daylight.
Staff were all friendly and helpful, hotel was always nicely cleaned by the cleaning staff, and the pool area was nicely kept.
The food from the hotel snack bar was nice and quite reasonable, didn't really go to the entertainment much but the one night we did go for the hypnotist, it was excellent.
Overall, if you get a room above reception level you will be very happy with the accomodation.

If you like spending your holiday in a car park then this is the hotel for you! Room was dirty and dingy with filthy mattress. The view was of a 10 ft brick wall and no curtains in the lounge/bedroom. Reps were very unhelpful and aggressive in nature. Overall i never want to return to the hotel again.

Have just returned April 2003 from a fantastic holiday at the Ocean Beach. On reading reports I was a bit worried as was not sure what to expect as we as a family had never been to Tenerife before. We felt the Aparthotel was exceptional value for money. It was in a great location and the views were Fab! On reading other reports we decided to opt for an apartment on the 4th floor or above. Unfortunately, after requesting the aforementioned we were given a room on the 3rd floor, which for this hotel is below ground level, much to our surprise the room fabulous sea views and we had the sun all day. The apartments were very spacious and clean, but if you want a Kettle and toaster they can be hired from reception. Having two children aged 13 and 11 we found the entertainment fantastic, so go in fact we had trouble moving the children from the pool area. There were games and quizes every afternoon and if you wanted to get them out of the sun for a while they even showed English videos every afternoon. (A big thank you to Jimmy the Entertainment Manager) We found the staff very friendly and informative regarding places to visit and eat and just general information on the Island. The apartments themselves are a very good size, and are clean and comfortable. I would definitely consider going back. The location of these apartments can not be faulted, magnificent views and well away from Verioncas, which is what we wanted. I would recommend this Aparthotel as we found it very good value for money and not a cockroach in site. The Aquapark is a must my daughter actually got to swim with the dolphins which to any 11 year old is a dream come true. Hopefully we will go back next year.

Visited the Ocean Beach hotel in July 2002. We were situated on the ground floor - big mistake extremely noisy. If you don't mind having to get up at 6 oclock to get a sunbed then you will be fine. The worst thing was other guests.
Basically gangs of at least 20 kids running riot throughout the night, and I mean night up to 4 am in the morning. VERY ANTI ENGLISH to the extent of smashing up a union jack lilo.
The breakfast was ok but forget the rest of the food (flies with everything at the barbeque) DONT BOTHER TO GO HALF BOARD. The first choice rep at the hotel was useless however their helpline was better and moved us after 3 days.
Our stay at this hotel spoilt our holiday. If you are into getting drunk everynight, singing rebel songs and letting your kids run riot, and have no regard for other people go there if not avoid it like the plague. We complained to the hotel and although they agreed that the behavour of the other guests was "terrible" they said they were unable to help!!!
It was the worst holiday we have every had and we go away 3 times a year.Found the south of the Island very dirty and on reading a local paper they were suprised that numbers were down! I wonder why!!!!

We visited the Ocean Beach Apartments in May, 2002. Our room was on the 4th floor, but at the back with a sea view, however the ones below had the view of a brick wall, wouldn't be my choice. We were S/C so can't comment on the food. Apartment was 1 bedroom. OK for 2 but not for 4 Adults! Personally I thought that the furniture was somewhat tired!!! but as we got a last minute deal didn't mind too much. I wouldn't go there again but enjoyed it whilst we were there. I preferred the other end of Las Americas, but then again, that is a personal preference. Staff were helpful when we needed them, but we didn't speak to them much, really.
