Just returned from the Colon II yesterday and the one word that pops in to my head to describe this place is Fantastic! Honestly, you can not fault this accomodation at all, it is great. It suits couples and families. The rooms are well equiped with large balcony, comfortable beds, kitchenette (with everything along with cork screw and bottle opener), bathroom with full sized bath and shower, hairdryer (to save you filling up your case!), T.V (1 Euro an hour), telephone, safe, large ceiling fan, and even piped music. Maids come 6 times a week and change towels whenever needed.

Colon II is very clean all troughout. Pool is very good with plenty of beds and a nice pool bar with good food, ideal for a snack in the day. Also there is a library where there are plenty of books so you can swap them throughout your holiday.

Reception is lovely and airy, very modern and attractive, with a small cafe/bar and an ice cream parlour at the front. (You must try the ice cream... its delicious!) The Receptionist (Ana) speaks excellent English and is always happy to help. Very pleasent and polite. We booked some trips through reception, as it offers a variety to choose from and are a better price than those from the tour operator.

The location is great, about 2 minutes walk to the beach, shops and places to eat. Very central to everything. If you are looking for good quality restaurants, when coming out of reception head to the left. There are plenty of nice places down there, along with various shopping centres selling all sorts of things. Tony Roma's is a good restuarant with really nice food, ribs, chicken, steak etc. Also the Mexican Restaurant above the Safari Centre - beautiful food! Alex's bar is good for a nice breakfast and a drink in the evening. From Collon II if you go to the right, this is more heading in to the livelier side with many bars, clubs and restaurants don't seem to be as nice (food wise and location) so we didn't really tend to go down that way.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday, stayed in excellent accomodation (which is faultless) in a great location. It was Fabulous!

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the colon 11 in July 2007. When we first pulled up outside, it just looked like a cafe and we were disappointed but once we signed in at reception and walked to our apartment we were absolutely gob smacked as the apartments were beautiful.

The colon 11 is the best place we have ever stayed in, your rooms are cleaned every morning, the pool is very clean with plenty of sun lounges, the staff are very welcoming.

We had no problems with our stay at the colon 11 we enjoyed it that much we are going back to the colon 11 in July 2008.

I would definitely recommend these apartments. *****

Stayed in the Colon II for a fortnight.

Definately go back again.

The cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in, the maids come 6 days a week.

Ana on reception was very helpful and polite. The lady who works the bar in the evening was absolutely amazing, works really hard.

Mamma Rosas serve the nicest food you'l taste there.

Only disapointment was the pub was closed throughout our stay.

Definately go back again & would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed for one week self catering. Very pleased with the accomodation. Very clean, all nice new furniture and despite being 50 yards away from the Patch relatively quiet. Had to pay for the tele which was a bit of a bummer. Only wanted a quick view to check the news and have a giggle at the UK weather but thats a minor complaint.

I think Playa Americas is making a big effort to bring the resort up to scratch. The new pedestrianised road from the patch to Veronica's and beyond is shaping up well and in terms of security I feel safe to walk through the place in the early hours of the morning. The local papers said that scratchcarders are banned from PdlA and Los Cristianos and there wasn't much evidence of them but they are still active in Torviscos and Adeje.

Have just returned from a fantastic week at the Colon II. We took a flight with Globespan and booked a studio directly with reception as they have a few rooms for private rental, the rest can be booked through Thomsons.

After a 15 minute taxi journey we arrived and it looked like you were entering a caf

These apartments live up to their reputation, they are very centrally located only a 2 minute walk from the beach. There is a good variety of nightlife, bars and restaurants right beside the apartments.

The accomodation was of a high standard, the apartments were kept very clean, and the beds etc were very comfortable. The balconies are a good size and we had the sun all day.

The pool area is lovely and there were always plenty of beds. The pool snack bar was very reasonable and the food was tasty.

We would not hesitate to go back there again.

Just come back from these apartments & found them faultless. We normally stay in four or five star hotels & this is up there with the best, also they serve good price snacks & drinks.

The location is ideal, will go back again.

My wife and I stayed at these apartments in early January 2007. The accommodation in our ground floor apt was faultless, with a nice living space, separate bedroom with twin beds and a well appointed bathroom and kitchen area.

My wife has very high standards when it comes to cleanliness and she could find absolutely nothing wrong!

All hotel staff were friendly and very good at their jobs with special mention to the maids who seemed to be on the go all the time.

There is a lovely pool bar that serves good quality food and also a fantastic Italian restaurant on the site along with a pub that has sky TV for sport.

We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the apartments to any couple or young family with children.

Just returned to UK from the Colon 2 apartments.

Our studio was spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout.

Facilities included a microwave/grill combination, large 'fridge, 2-ring hob and vast amounts of cupboard space in the kitchen. Utensils were barely adequate though even for a studio (sometimes you need more than two spoons)and there were no egg-cups. A huge clothes closet, coin-in-the-slot t.v. and a ceiling fan were all there but oh, does this place need air-conditioning! We had the afternoon sun and at times the room became unbearably hot, during the evening and overnight especially, there being no through draught available.

Location was good, plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and shops on your doorstep and only two minutes stroll from the ocean. However it was generally peaceful with just the odd noisy reveller at night, not a problem.

The salt-water pool is excellent and beautifully clean with plenty of free expensive-looking sunbeds (all in very good condition) but not many parasols; again not a problem as there was adequate shade from the buildings if you wanted it. I can't really comment on the food as we only had a lunch-time snack once (we walk a lot) but it was good fare and well presented.

All in all a very good apartment complex slightly let down by the 'only-two-of-everything' attitude to studio cutlery but the lack of air-conditioning is the real downside in our opinion.
