This is our fourth stay at Colon 2 - we missed 2005 because they were being re-furbished. Always good in my opinion, now they are excellent and we have already booked for 2007!
The whole accommodation is pristine and new looking.
Apartments are furnished to a reasonable standard and complete with crocs, cutlery (none missing) new electric hot plates, fridge and microwave. All the lights are energy saving bulbs - dim at first but brighten up after a few minutes. The door key card enables the electricity and the water (unusual) but you get two cards so they can be left on.
Maid service was excellent (six times a week). Clean towels whenever we needed them in addition to regular changes.
We were lucky to have a one-bedroom apartment with two balconies and two sun loungers. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom and another in the lounge.
The location is excellent - near The Patch and Parque Santiago shops. Walking distance of Veronicas and Los Christianos.
Reception staff were very friendly and eager to please (we faxed them before we went for our favourite apartment and they allocated it to us)
The sunbeds are all brand new and the most comfortable I have seen - plasticy fabric on the frame, not rigid slats. The back rests and leg rests are adjustable.
Colon 2 guests are entitled to a 10% discount at Mama Rosa restaurant, adjoining. It is under separate management and is, in my view, one of the best restaurants in PDLA
There is a 'pub' downstairs but we did not venture in. Seemed to concentrate on showing football matches.

Have never stayed in such clean and well appointed apartments in all the years we have holidayed abroad. From the check in at reception to check out we never had anything to complain about. All staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. The maids and the handyman were always about the apartments even at night. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with my daughter and her husband and from the front door everything was superb. Would reccommend these apartments to everyone and will be going back to visit. We usually go to four star hotel but that is a thing of the past anytime we are back in Playa de las Americas.

Third time we have stayed at Colon II and even better since the recent refurbishment.

Very Clean and freindly Staff.
Has central location come out of reception turn left for the"Patch" or turn right for "Veronicas".
Couldn't fault this Hotel at all I've been to Tenerife 3 times before stayed at the Caledonia Park, Compostela
Beach and the Mare Verde and these apartments beats them all.

Hopefully I have covered just about everything about these wonderful appartments by answering the questions on the left.
We met a lovely family in the hotel. We have since been intouch with them. My daughter is going out with their son who is a wonderful lad. Infact if it wasnt for those two meeting we might not have met his parents. Thankyou collon 2.
We will definitely be back in the very near future. Thanks to all the friendly staff and excellent maids for a very comfortable week in Collon 2.

Collon 2 is the best hotel we have ever stayed in.
There is no way we can fault anything about it. My daughter met a wonderful lad in this hotel who she is still seeing. We are now all friends with his entire family who are lovely lovely people.
I hope this is the start of a long friendship. Thank you Collon 2. Also thanks to the friendly staff, and the maids for keeping the hotel so clean.

Hotel Colon 2 is set in excellent location and close to the shops.
Close enough to the beach and night clubs but also far enough away so it isnt noisy. The food at the apartments pool bar was second to none the pool was always clean. The staff at the apartments were very pleasant and helpful.
The apartments were cleaned every day and the maids were cheerful and the courtyard was always tidy .I would go back to the apartments anytime as they made our holiday very enjoyable.

I went to Tenerife for the first time just two weeks ago, I got back to Newcastle today.
The hotel is self catering, but has a well equipped bar pool that serves gorgeous food. Club sandwich is a must (tried and tested by a couple who we met) The food was a very good price and great to get some dinner (spag bol, lasagne to beans on toast, English fry up, garlic butty etc).
The Hotel staff were very helpful, the handyman was constantly in the vicinity if any small jobs were being done. The hotel has just been refurbished so he was doing things like putting a little folding clothes rail on the balcony when we were there, always helping with anything. The reception staff are happy to help you and have a laugh with you, change money at a good rate, and saves a walk to bureaus.
We were in a studio apartment for 2 people.
The bathroom had a bath, overhead shower, a bidet, toilet, seat (stool) and sink in first room. Massive mirror and window facing inside apartments.
The kitchen had 2 hob rings, a microwave-oven, kettle, toaster, tea-pots/pans/all necessary cutlery etc. All were new for our stay.
Kitchen also had a small table with two chairs and lots of cupboard space and under counter fridge.
There was a large cupboard with overhead space, shelves, a cabinet with TV (pay-per-view) and another large mirror. Kitchen and bedroom open planned. Two beds together with bedside cabinets. Over the beds was a very good ceiling fan which cooled the whole room. Double setting so you didn

We stated at the Colon 2 apartments in April last year , although to be fair we have stayed there before and are due to go back again in October.
The rooms are always clean , the reception staff always friendly and helpful,the pool bar area is always clean and the standard of food is excellent , and not a rip off, not even to mention the superb Mama Rosa restaurant in the complex , but be sure to book a table to avoid disappointment.
The pool is salt water and quite cool , but needed in the Tenerife sun , the pool area always immaculate , if you rise early enough you will see all of the maids washing the pool area down at 7.30 to 8.00am . There is always a maintenance man around for the small day to day jobs.
If this isn't enough the Apartments have recently been refurbished and we called in to have a look on the day they opened in May this year , not a great increase in price , but they are now 5 star standard , with every room being completely gutted , new Kitchens , Bathrooms ,beds and other furniture , also a celing fan in the bedrooms for those extra hot nights, can't wait until October.
