We'd previously read that this hotel was more 3 star than 4 but we were pleasantly surprised. Whilst it is true that some other 4 star hotels in the area where a little 'grander', the quality of the food and service was of a high standard and warranted a 4 star rating as the staff were great, in particular the bar staff and the cleaners.
As a couple in our mid 40s,the evening entertainment was a little predicatable and not really to our tastes but, if you have young kids they'll love the mini-disco and provide you with a break from entertaining them.
There are 2 swimming pools and though they're not big, they're extremely adequate and we had no problem getting a sunbed though that might be because it was in November.
This accommmodation would suit families in particular but I'd also highly recommend it for couples and younger adults who want to be fairly near to livelier night life but not right in the thick of it.

Just got back from our first holiday in Tenerife, the hotel was recommended to us by a friend who goes every year. The all inclusive meals were adequate, there was alot to choose from without being too repetitive, lunch and dinner were OK but the breakfast could have been better.
The drinks were great and the bar staff worked hard to serve you as quickly and politely as possible, the ice cream was better than expected, there were about ten flavours to choose from and they were served on a cone not in a tub!
The hotel was spotless clean with the staff working from the early hours each morning to keep the pool area and eating areas clean, as well as our room which was cleaned every day.
Our room was poolside which I'd highly recommend as the hotel is on a busy road and you maybe woken by traffic early otherwise, the rooms are the best we've stayed in, we had a living area with pull out beds, a master bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and large balcony!!
We stayed on the fourth floor, I would advise you not to stay too close to the ground because of the cockroaches, they're BIG in Tenerife!!
Finally, this is where the hotel let's itself down a little, the evening entertainment, it's could be better.
We stayed for ten days and counted only two shows that we enjoyed, the rest were tacky or just boring, we noticed that other hotels around us had better shows on than ours.
But they certainly know how to keep your kids entertained if you have any, most of the nightly shows are aimed at them.

The hotel itself was clean.
My 6 year old son went to the mini club for 2 hours each which he thoroughly enjoyed. The entertainment staff for the kids were fantastic.
The hotel food was more European and none of it was labelled so you didn't know what you were eating. There was nothing plain - everything came with sauce.
To-wards the end of our week we had bad weather but as the pools were heated we still enjoyed it.
The down side to the hotel was there was no internet access. We wouldn't visit the hotel again mainly the food as both my husband and son are very choosy at what they eat. We tend to go all inclusive each year and this was the worst one. The hotel staff were not so helpful - here's your room find your own way there.

Holiday was very enjoyable. Food was plentyful with good choices. Activities were good for my 14 year old son and the entertainment in the evening got better as the week progresed.
Our only complaint was the weather and when it rained the hotel leaked! Could still swim in the rain though as pool was like a bath, nice and warm.

Accommodation could do with refurbishing.
Service from staff ranged from ok to almost basil fawlty style. Once you get over this it is quite funny to see it in action.
Waiter service for drinks in restaurant is good and
Been shown to your table also is a nice touch.
Location of hotel is ideal although bahia del duque area is a class above fanabe area.
Ask for a room with a pool view as this is quieter.
Overall a nice holiday in a pleasant environment.
Food good. Lager good quality for all inclusive.

First impressions on arrival are that the hotel is really, really ugly, it really does look like a prison camp.
The rooms do need refurbishing, but no complaints about the cleansliness.The room was cleaned every day and the towels etc changed daily too.
I was surprised that there was no hairdryer in the room. The hotel is definitely a 3*not 4*.Internet acess is needed too!
The food was excellent. We had no complaints at all. There was plenty of variety. It did get a bit monotonous towards the end of our week, but the quality remained excellent.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Only a ten minute walk to the beach. The village of Fanabe is quite upmarket with a very picturesque walk along the sea front. Unfortunately, it was very cloudy for the week that we were there, but we just made the most of it.
We didn't have any problems with the hotel staff. Some were friendly, some weren't. But you get that everywhere.
The entertainment was diabolical unless you had small children. It is definately a family based holiday and not for couples. We have done our share of 'Agadoo' and 'Time warp' etc. In fact it was like being in a Time warp.
We wouldn't visit this hotel again. mainly because it really does cater only for people with young children.

This was not the first time we had visited Playa De Las Americas or the Fanabe region, but was the first time visiting the Isla Bonita. Hotel rooms where nice, quite spacious and had a small kitchenette which was a nice touch even though we where all inclusive, but rooms where clean most of the public areas where kept tidy and clean to.
Drinks choices where pretty good, with a cocktail of the day available everyday - although nearly everyday this included rum!?! Bar service! Well that was a different story - on arrival you are issued with a card that acts as an ID card and your room key, which is a great idea, but it does take forever to get served at the bar - especially in the evening,the hotel has 3/4 bars in the main evening area - but only use one? And we where there in the winter, and they expected us to sit outside till 8 o clock!!
The entertainment was ok, the best show was unfortunately on the last night and we didn;t see much of it, but there was lots of day time entertainment if you wanted it, and sports facilities available to all inclusive guests.
All in all was a good break from the Uk for Feb Half term, not sure if we would return, think the hotel would be better in the summer with more staff so that there would be less queues!

Just got back today had a great time dont know where some of the people in the other reports stayed but it didn't seem like this hotel.
Rooms very clean.
Hotel very clean.
Food great, something for everyone.
Staff could be better but some of the guests don't help.
Entertainment, the kids loved it even the bingo could be better for adults.
Two problems the bar closed in our opinion 1 hour too early felt like a kid on a curfew as we dont like drinking all afternoon and our rooms were right on the road which was noisy on a morning but the kids wanted to be up early anyway so it was our alarm clock.
Kids loved the mini club staff.
Rooms very clean.
Hotel very clean.

Isla Bonita would go back, this hotel is great, food very good, the choice excellent.
Room always very clean. Hotel staff very goood.
Entertainment was poor, then I find all hotels, have poor entertainment.
Hotel location in a nice area, very convienient, local bus TITSA stops outside this hotel from the airport.
One thing not mentioned in british tourist holiday brochures, small plunge pool and sunbathing area on hotel roof for naturists.
Peace and quiet from the main pool. One immportant facility missing, no Internet accsess at this hotel. I shall return.

Very nice hotel, clean and well presented, room ok though not a very good view and with a small balcony which never got the sun balcony impressed with food choice and found something different every evening, even the packed lunch which we took to the beach on a couple of occassions was very good.
When required found staff to be very helpful, pool not very large and sun didn't reach the pool area very well which made certain areas very crowded.
Entertainment not all that good.
All in all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately visit again.
