We stayed in these apartments last year and I posted excellent reviews about it and so I took my family back again this year ...Big Mistake !!!

The 2 bed-room apartment was in an excellent position over the entertainment canopy with pool and sea views, but at night the singer warbled away till after midnight with the same old rubbish she did last year, the other entertainers are amateurish apart from the odd one ..the kids should watch the Puppet show and mums and dads don't miss "Bitter and twisted". The Elvis, Buddy Holly and other "sing-alike" (you have to be joking)are absolute rubbish and would not get past first base on X Factor.

Cleanliness in the rooms is hit and miss depending which maid you get ours was useless and even after the room was cleaned your feet would be dirty after walking on the floor bare footed..the towels smelled of sweaty socks are were really unpleasant to dry yourself on..

I cannot say the hotel staff were bad as I found them very nice and approachable if you are polite in the first instance..

But the horror story of the hotel has to be the towel\sunbed situation... on one day it was raining quite hard until mid morning and guess what ...there were people sat on towels holding their positions around the pool getting absolutely soaked waiting for the pool attendants to unlock the sun beds ...I got up early one morning to "mark my position" (just like a cat)I got prime land just at the side of the kiddies pool..I got my sunbed put my towels on and retired to eat my breakfast..when we returned twenty minutes later a large family (I mean huge)that usually got there had moved my towels including sunbeds 30 feet away and when I asked why I was threatened with having my privates kicked in for daring to encroach on their territory.... oooah painful !!!

All in all we enjoyed the trip to Tenerife but next time I will be more choosy where we stay..

PS... Not a cockroach in sight in our apartment (third floor)

First of all I've been looking at this website for our holidays this year and I think its fantastic so I thought I would big up our hotel in Tenerife.

Me and my boyfriend went to Parque de la paz last year and we were very pleased with everything in the hotel from staff to the room.

Our room was more like a little flat it had 2 bedrooms a living room bathroom and kitchen not just a kitchenette the beds were also very comfy.

We went down for breakfast one morning in the hotel was very nice but because there was so many restaurants in the area we didn't eat there twice.

We did eat at the pool bar a few times though when sitting round the pool that also was very nice.

The pool area was very clean and tidy got coned on the sun bed mattress but then realised it was my own fault should of asked as you have to pay for mattress ~(not the bed).

It always seemed really lively around the pool but I guess that can change depending on families that are in there.

Holiday reps weren't great, went on a pub crawl and had a good laugh.

All staff are really friendly

Nothing bad to say about this hotel was fantastic loved every minute of it.

Just returned from these apartments. They have changed so much from last year, the rooms definitely need updating.

We had to hire a fan as it was so hot. We asked for extra pillows, it took them three days to fetch them.

The grounds are well kept apart from the Brits and their sunbeds.
They are chained until 9am,this doesn't stop people standing aroung the pool with their towels on the ground as if to say this is my spot my sunbed is going here, it is so funny to watch.

We are returning in May only because we have already booked but it's the Bitacora for us in September.

We stayed in Parque de la Paz for one week and we were in a room right next to the very busy road that leads to the beach. Needless to say the double glazing was not up to much as we never got one decent nights sleep if it wasn't the traffic it was the bottle collectors crashing about at three or four in the morning emptying the large bins outside the hotel. The beds were like lying on concrete and no air con, but as with a lot of other things the hotel will rent you a fan for thirty euros. The rooms were not what you would call dirty but needed slight attention in places.

The staff were ok but not what you would call friendly. We never stayed for the entertainment but what I did see of Cara and Bobby they were ok.

Very good location, about 5 min walk to Las Vistas Beach (nice golden sand unlike the black sand as Las Americas), very nice. Keep walking by beach and get to Los Christianos within another 5 mins, very nice resort. Lot more relaxed and more of a couple resort than las Americas. Walk 15 mins opposite direction and your in the heart of Las Americas so good distance to take a stroll to and good distance to be far enough away from all the loud bars and discos and especially the bar Pr's which are really annoying. Plenty of good places to eat and very cheap, the most we spend was about 45 euro and that was a 3 course meal for 2 with drinks choosing some of the more expensive things on the menu in the best restaurants.Good restaurants are Little Italy on the promenade at Las Americas below the casino, there are a few around but this one is by far the best. Aberdeen Steakhouse - fillet steak and all the extras for 8 euros. Sugar And Spice again very nice.

Didn't really go to many pubs as too tired from doing things all day, so usually had a few drinks on balcony and watched the apt entertainment from there. Good shows for all ages such as parrot show, clown act, Ricky Martin Tribute, drag show and dance shows. Don't even need to go to pool bar to watch it if your lucky enough to have a room that over looks it. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apt, very spacious and clean. Only probs with apt, hot water only lasts for about 5 mins. Fridge not very cold so check before buying lots of food etc.

Only had 1 cockroach in first week but then 2nd week I was awoken by 2 cockroaches crawling on me in my bed! we took 2 hours trying to catch them and found 10 in total, in the toilet, the hall, the kitchen worktops. I went to reception and was given a spray and told to be brave! not exactly what i was expecting. we had to sit at reception till morning as the spray we were given chokes you. We were offered other room but at the back of hotel with no view so decided to stay were we were but had to put towels under patio doors so no more could get in. The rooms should have been sprayed daily with this spray every day to stop this from happening but it wasn't done. We were also on the 2nd floor so were told shouldn't have been problem.

Food at pool bar very good and reasonably priced. Bar understaffed so wait ages to get served only 1 man on bar and serving tables.

Need to get up at 7am to get a sunbed as everyone runs out then and puts towels town to reserve beds then come down hours later, we had to set alarm and take turns to do this- can't beat them so need to join them and do the same!

We went for two weeks and was really worried because of what people had said about Parque De Las Paz apts.

Our room was very basic but clean and tidy, yet we had a boiler that made a high pitched squeal sort of noise quite often, so in the middle of the night it wasn't very pleasant - some cracks and re-adjustments could have been made too.

The pool was very clean and the bins were always emptied. It was only 5 min walk away to the Los Christianos beach and that was a great beach.

In the resort itself, the enternmainment was good. There were shows like clowns, parrot shows and puppet shows, there was also a lot of singing from Cara - she was a good singer!

The sunbed situation was pathetic! We got up at 3 o'clock in the morning once just to get one! If you get up any later then 9 o'clcok you guaranteed to not get one. There is a rule where you are not allowed to leave your towel until after dinnertime but no-one followed this.

There was some really nice and reasonably priced restraunts without walking to far.

We didn't get involved with the staff much, but they were always there and there was also a security guard!

We think we would visit again.

If anyone is going then it is a fab place and not many faults to harm you and your holiday.

Stayed in Parque de la Paz week commencing 2nd June, 2006.

Hotel was brilliant, very clean, towels changed daily and beds made up also. Staff very friendly always greeted with a smile.

Close to beach and all amenities. We would strongly recommend this hotel.

We hope to return next year.

I have jus returned from parque de la paz,the hotel grounds itself is very nice and there are lots of amenities.

There does seem to be a bit of a fight for the parasoles if you dont get next to the pool early enough. The hotel staff at reception are ok some are quiet rude with you, there is one english bloke that works at night he is very nice.

My only advice about this hotel is don't purchase the drinks at the bar as they are extreemly expensive and I personally think the entertainment is dyer.

There are a coupld of computers at reception with internet access 1 euro for 10 mins. The beach is jus down the hill and you can see it when you come out the grounds and the complex is location near loads and shops and bars etc, next to a busy road though but didnt hear any noise traffic.

I have heard reports about the maids stealing from you so I was very careful when I got there with my personal belongings. I did seem to notice thou my hand luggage bag opened when I came back to the room in the afternoon. I didn't eat at the hotel so i couldnt tell you what its like.

To sit on the beach for the day for 2 loungers and 1 umberella its 9 euro..

Hope any of this helps you.

The hotel was excellent very clean and tidy the only thing was you had to pay for the pads for sun loungers and also for the parasols, which I dont think you should as you have already paid for your holiday. I have never been anywhere before that you have to do this.
