Just returned from 2 weeks at the Villa Mandi. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves having a relaxing time. Apartment had 2 bedrooms (one upstairs with a roof terrace). Small but adequate kitchen. This was the first time we had a frying pan provided!!! Cleaners were constantly cleaning around the complex, Gardeners also paid good attention to the numerous plants and pots surrounding the area. Hotel staff all spoke very good english and were extemely pleasant and helpful. Maintenance staff were quick to fix any problems that you may have had. On the down side the entertainment was poor. For 14 nights there was only 3 nights of good entertainment. We would definitely visit this hotel again.

Hotel very nice and cleaned very regularly. Maid service excellent. Restaurant adequate but could have more extensive menu. Location of hotel a little in the middle of nowhere although pleasant enough stroll into Los Cristianos in the evening. Thomson reps very poor and entertainment aimed at children or immature adults! Seemed more intersted in entertaining themselves rather than the paying clientele!

As we went s/c we stayed in a studio/apartment, this worked very well as there was a supermarket on site which was close to where our room was.

the location wasnt good at all it looked like we were put on a building site, however there is good views of the mountsains.also bein on a golf course, its quite a large complex.

the staff were lovely, antony,loopy laura, andy, antonio at reception, they were all very helpful and fun!!

i would definatly come back here again, i loved every minute of it with the staff helping it go as smoothly as it can.

by the way if you o here go to the jungle park its the best 100euros you can spend by far, it was an awesome day.

overall it was a really good holiday and the kids loved it!!!

Well Villa Mandi is a great looking place with a lovely pool and the apartments are fantasic but they are stuck in the middle of waste ground!!

It takes a good 20 minutes into los cristionos or 30 minutes into playa so if you have small children its hard work you can get a taxi but fares vary alot so be aware.

We went half board in villa mandi its was the worst food I have ever had in my life horried with no choice cold and most of the fine raw food ( chicken) if you are going half bored I would take plenty of money to eat out.

Entertainment was brilliant they have a new lad just started his name in anthony he is brilliant get the kids dancing and the adults too we had many good night at the mini disco with him many thats ant xx

Kids club is great fun but you have to make sure you get there early as in half term week there was 30 kids and only 18 places every day not good enough for a superfamily hotel !!!

I hope this information is useful and I have not put you off going you will have fun but just dont eat the food .

We loved the villa Mandi. We were blown away when we saw our apartment it was fab, very large kitchen area, in the lounge area there was a bed and a pull out bed under it, sliding doors revealed two very large beds pushed together with a huge mirrored wardrobe, there was plenty of storage space, we had a very large balcony which had a spiral staircase leading up to a very large roof terrace!! wow Fab it was great !!!

From the moment we arrived the staff were lovely, they were always very cheerful and helpful.

The cleanliness of the pool area was amazing with every square inch washed down every morning. The cleanliness of our apartment was great too, towels changed every day, and the cleaners were very friendly.

We were half board and had heard reports of the food not being good but this was not our experience at all! they provided a vast menu. The food was always very nice. And the service was of a very high standard especially when Francisco was about, which seemed every day we were there except one!!!

The location of the hotel wasn't the best, you did need to get a taxi or take a 20 min walk to get to the main shops, but its not a problem.

All of the hotel staff were absolutely delightful!!!

The Thomson reps did a fab job of entertaining us!! they got to know lots of peoples names and made a real big effort with all the kids, they were all naturals. A big thank you especially to Jazzy James and Jumping Jodie who are a very funny together and should become a double act!! and another big thank you to Vicky who always had time to talk to us and the children, also one last big thank you to Stephen who was lovely too and very funny and sweet! Thank you all guys for making our holiday a very lovely and memorable one.

We would holiday at the Villa Mandi again.

If you have young children this is the place to go the Kidszone and entertainers were absolutely fantastic. My 5 year old and 2 year old had a smashing time, playing in the pools and going to the Disco everynight.

Congratulations to Jazzy James. Jumping Jodie,Kelly,Clare,Gemma,Cath, Stacey and James you did a great job with the children but where do you get all the energy from.

The Reps, Vicky and Stephen were exceptionally helpful and always made a point of making you feel welcome.

The down side was the location as with small children the walk was too far, so needed taxis. Also one incident when Jewellery went missing from the room.

But apart from that great timewas had.

We had an enjoyable stay at Villa Mandi and on the whole I would recommend the resort to anyone considering a family-orientated holiday at Tenerife. The apartments are quite spacious, reasonably clean and ours had a large balcony area. We went self catering with the intention of eating out every day which is just as well as the cooking facilities in the apartments are quite modest (a 2-ring hob, a fridge and small microwave). One thing we were pleased about was that it was relatively quiet after 12am where we were located on the resort. On the whole we were very pleased with our room.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and we found the service at the restaurant good. Several other reviews here have criticised the food and yes, you can get better in the many specialist restaurants within Los Cristianos. However, we ate in the restaurant several times and never got what I would describe as a bad meal, just a little uninspired at times.

The pool areas are quite well thought out, well maintained and our kids (aged 5 and 11) spend many an enjoyable hour splashing about in the warm water. There is also a good 14-hole mini golf area which our 5-year old loved and played a sort of golf-hockey for as long as we would let her. One thing that did annoy us was the unfortunate sun-bed hogging mentality that existed at the resort. In August, when we stayed, it was fairly full and it was a case of going down to the pool area before 9am to secure your space for the day.

Very fast check in, rooms ready immediately, I e-mailed the hotel and asked for three adjoining rooms with roof terraces if possible and that is what I got. Very spacious apartments and very clean, pool areas very nice but a little small for the number of guests. Fantastic views over the golf course from the balcony.

Only ate twice in hotel and that was breakfast on each occasion and found it to be very good with plenty of choice. I can't comment on evening meals as we ate out in Los Cristiano's most evenings, must mention 'dreamers bar' great food and entertainment hello to Max, Sid, Leanne and everyone else for the great evenings.

Hotel location fine for us just a fifteen minute stroll to both las Americas and Los Cristiano's, some people complained to far away but no problem to us.

Did'nt use the kids club due to age of our children we took three sixteen year olds, one thirteen and one nine year old, but the kids joined in the daytime activities around the pool, including water polo, races and quizzes. Entertainers James and Jodie very professional and friendly. Anyone families with young children should not be disappointed with this hotel.

The only problem we did have was one or two people with young children expected total silence after 11.30pm regardless of everyone else being on holiday as well, regardless of young children screaming around the poolside for most of the day, I say live and let live. In fairness to the hotel they said one or two couples had done nothing but complain since arrival but had to act on complaints, several families enjoying evenings on their balconies told to be quiet.

All in all a great two weeks and would go back.

One last mention if you do only one trip make it Loro Park sea lion, dolphin and killer whale shows amazing and not to be missed.

This was the best holiday we have ever had. Our children are 12, 8 and 6 and had a fantastic time. There were lots of similar age kids at the hotel and all three kids made some great friends.

The appartments are excellent, were very large and were kept spotless by the maids who came every day. We were in a two bedroom appartment which had the kitchen, lounge, bathroom, bedroom and balcony on the ground floor with the second massive bedroom and another main bathroom on the first floor with a further balcony. Each section of the appartment had an individual controlled air conditioning which could be run all day if you wanted. The appartments were top class.!!!

The other ammenities in the hotel were extensive and again very well kept. The pool areas and sunbeds were very good. The reception staff are very good with only the miserable maintenance man in charge of the pool letting the hotel down.

The food was ok but a little limited and quite expensive as was the on site supermarket.

The Thomson staff were brilliant without exception and really made the holiday for us. James and Jodie the entertainers made everyone welcome and really got involved everyday. PS they really like being pushed in the pool just give it a go !!! The evening entertainment they provided was good particularly for the kids.

The location of the hotel is right next to the golf course which gives some great views from all the appartments and from the pool areas. The only problem with this is that the hotel is right on the edge of the resort which means that it was about half an hour walk into the town across a "deserted wasteland" area. We stayed in most days and when we went out at night got a taxi in for 5 euros. The taxis are really easy to get as they know people from this area need them to get into town.

Overall if you have booked this appartment you will not be disappointed. We will be going again here.
