We stayed at the Fiesta Oasis after being transferred from the Fiesta Floral as it is being refurbished. The Oasis was very clean in all areas.

The food was in the main very good, but as we were on all inclusive three meals a day from the buffet style restaurant did become a little repetitive.

There was a better choice if you were willing to experiment with some of the local foods as adults can, but with 3 children under 10 we were glad there was always pizza and chips for them.

Playa Paraiso is a little way from the main resorts of Las Americas and Los Christianos but the free hotel bus was very good.

Free use of the Lido just down the road from the hotel for all inclusive guests proved a big hit with us as it was so quiet that we often had the childrens pool to ourselves.

Unlike the hotel childrens pool which was often crowded. There is only room for a maximum 9 sunbeds around the childrens pool and the early birds got their towels on them pretty quickly.
The problem is that the main pool is all one depth 1.5m so families with non swimmers were restricted.

The hotel was fairly quiet during the week but got busier Friday to Monday as a lot of Spanish families use it for weekend breaks. The hotel staff were excellent, very courteous and always made a fuss of the children.

One thing to watch out for is the waiters habit of giving children little sweets but not waiting until they had finished their meal which left abandoned meals in favour of the sweetie.

The evening entertainment programme was typical family entertainment with some professional acts and on other nights the hotel entertainers. The main entertainment often didn`t start until 2215 and lasted about an hour. The daytime activities were provided by Thomson kid zone clubs as well as the Fiesta hotel team.

I have just got back from this hotel and to start with we weren't that sure about it. The food for tea when we first got there wasn't that exciting but it was enjoyable. Even though the hotel is only a half board hotel they had some people staying in it who were on the all inclusive board as like my family we had to stay in this hotel instead of the one next door.

There wasn't a great variety of food as you often saw most of the same food avaliable for every meal. The entertainment was amazing, at half past eight every night they have a mini disco for little children (but big kids can also join in), this is followed by a game of international bingo which if you are an impatient person I wouldn't advise you to play as it takes forever as they have to call the numbers in many different languages and it gets pretty boring after more than a couple of nights of playing it.

After the bingo every night they hold a performance which is suitable for people of all ages and is very funny. The entertainers themselves are amazing as they all have a good sense of humour and if you don't have a smile on your face you will be guaranteed to have one after they have seen you!!!

There isn't alot for the teenagers to do at the hotel as the hotel entertainers hold a club for 4-14 year olds and then a club for adults 16/17+.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have fun when they are on holiday and anyone who has young children.

First impressions of the hotel were very good. It has a spacious lobby and several shops and was immaculately clean.

Maids came in everyday and thoroughly cleaned the rooms, even fanning out nightclothes and carefully placing the children's teddies on them. Towels were changed daily if required and we were very impressed with the service received here.

We found the staff throughout to be very friendly and polite. The restaurant staff in particular were lovely with the children.

I thought the breakfasts were excellent. There was plenty of choice from full English, including proper English sausages, bread and rolls, meats and cheeses, fruits, pastries and even sparkling wine if you could stomach it.

We weren't impressed though with the evening meals and in particular the selection for the children who mainly had only a choice of pizza and one other item. Some funny looking hamburgers or the occasional breaded chicken wing. Anaemic fries were served every night and all the food was always barely warm. There was an excellent selection of salads though so we mainly stuck with those.

One good thing, you could change your evening meal for a buffet or picnic lunch if you advised reception by 8pm the night before which we found quite useful.

A word about the food. Do check the meat is properly cooked. One morning at breakfast the sausages were totally raw and uncooked inside. we showed these to the rep who informed the head waiter who merely recooked them all. Our 5 year old was very sick the day after as a result and we had to call out the doctor, obtain medication in the middle of the night and incur alot of expense.

There was the usual morning rush for the sunbeds and limited sunshades which was a pain, and we found the childrens pool to be very small indeed. The main pool was all a depth of 150m which was too deep for my 8 year old to be in on his own too and we found this to be a real bind. I would certainly research pools for them for future holidays.

Our room was of a good standard and we had a pool and sea view. This was nice but the surrounding cranes and building works do spoil it somewhat as the area is still in it's development stage.

We found the evening entertainment to be very poor though. There was a mini disco at 8.30 every night where the children did a few party dances and agame such as pass the hat or musical bumps. This lasted for about half an hour, then there was the presentation of the day's prize givings forllowed by the selling of bingo tickets and international bingo which between them took another hour. During this time there was absolutely nothing for the children to do except run around, if allowed, ours weren't, and get in other peoples way. We thought this was very poorly organised and the children who were 8, 5 and 3 were boreed stiff. There was a professional show, parrot, flamenco, illusion, etc on some nights but although that was billed as starting at 10.15 it never did until at least 10.40 which was far too late for them. Other nights were competitions such as Miss Fiesta which we didn't bother to stay up for. All in all though I didn't find the entertainment staff over enthusiastic and welcoming as I have on other holidays and having read previous reviews was very disappointed at the entertainments on offer.

The Thomson kids clubs were good as usual and there was twice daily mini clubs for children and adults with the Fiesta staff where they did treasure huts, mini golf, pool, etc which were quite enjoyed.

Whilst we were there, the Paraiso Floral next door was closed for refurbishment and their guest allocated to our hotel. As there's was an all inclusive hotel we found most people were on this basis and this did show as we encountered a lot of drunks late at night drinking the bar dry. We didn't book at an all inclusive for this reason so coupled with the power tools and smashing tiles which could be heard from the refurbishment programme when around the pool area did not enamour us to the hotel.

The hotel runs 3 courtesy buses each morning to PDLA or you could catch the hourly local ones or taxis for around 15 euros. We used these alot as we found our position much too quiet and enjoyed the beaches at Puerto Colon and Las Vistas in particular. We ate out on several occasions due to the lack of variety of eveing meals too which we hadn't budgetted for, but did find food very reasonably priced outside of Playa Paraiso.

There is a very small beach in Playa Paraiso though it is shingle and pebbly, not cleaned and we found alot of broken glass around so shoes are a must. There are plenty of fish there though and a local diving school goes there. Just walk on past the Lido and down some steps.

Whilst there we went to the Medieval Night which was superb and also Pirates wich was very good too. We enjoyed a day at the SkyPark which is ideal for children under 10 and saw whales and dolphins on a boat trip, although unfortunately most the family except me were sea-sick! Quite surprising as they have never been so before.

All in all an okay hotel in a very quiet resort suitable if you want total relaxation. Much too quiet for us though with poor evening entertainment and unsuitable childrens bathing so we wouldn't return.

My wife and I have just returned from this hotel. On arrival we were very impressed by the cleanliness and the condition of the room which was on the 15 floor overlooking the sea.

This the first time we have ever gone all inclusive as it was my wife's 60 birthday however after three days we went down with food poisoning and had to get the doctor as we were in bed for three days which did spoil the holiday to say the least.

As for the hotel itself it did cater for families and I was surprised by the number of children at the hotel during term time who were running around all day uncontrolled which did spoil it for people of our age group.

I would not go back here again if you paid me.

Playa Paraiso is a tiny resort about 15km away from the bright lights of Playa De Las Americas. The resort is basically one street comprising of 4 hotels, although there is a lot of work going on and the resort is growing. Strangely, although the resort seems to have grown in the 7 years since we last visited, it didn

After reading the reports on this hotel, all I can say is thatwe were a little anxious before we arrived there! We had absolutely nothing to worry about!
The hotel itself and facilties are fab, although we didnt stay for the entertainment on a night. We did hear good reports off other guests. The food was varied and enjoyable. I tasted veal for the first time in my life! Breakfasts were great, for one who isnt a lover of a great british fry up on a daily basis, there is cereal & plenty of fresh fruit & bread.

We were recommended this hotel by our travel agent as she said a friend of hers had visited previously and really enjoyed it. I think she was lying to be honest. We were told the hotel was in a quiet area which in all fairness it was, although it was peaceful of a nightime.

It was overlooking the sea, we had a pool view which was very nice although we did get to see a slight part of the surrounding area that was just plain dirty ground where people decided to dump their rubbish occasionally. The staff were quite pleasant at reception and seemed helpful enough. The rep decided to show her face on our third day, she did the whats on welcome then disappeared. If you go on any excursions do not get a fiesta breakfast, they cater more for the Germans, I mean who else would eat salami for breakfast.

There were a few cats roaming around the hotel grounds which we weren't really that sure about so we decided not to leave our drinks on the floor. There was plenty of entertainment to keep my children happy including a disco with karaoke. The food was ok really, although the pizzas weren't really varied in flavour, steer clear if you don't like olives!!!!!
