The Allen family visited here on May 2006
The resort is very small, with only a few shops, pubs and restaurants. There is no beach but there is a lovely man made Lido with sea water which is lovely! You get free admission if you stay at the floral hotel, which includes sunbeds with mats and soft drinks and beer! This resort is ideal if you have young children like us, you wont be kept awake by banging disco\'s all night! One English pub we liked was Rhythm n Booze which was where we watched the England matches, yes the penalties were horrible to watch, again!

Very quiet resort which I liked as have young children so no noise from bars etc, Close to shops although there were only a few they were adequate for souveniers etc. A lovely chinese restaurant up the road which the other half loved. There was not a beach but a lido which was free to use and drinks and icecreams were free here too.

the resort itself i found a bit boring as i am young and wanted to party. there is a large supermarket a couple of bars and not much else, although in the hotel itself is everything u need, bag shop, perfume shop, mini arcade etc. i did catch the free bus to los christianos quite a lot while i was there and i must say it was excellent apart from people trying to sell u glasses, watches and hair braids.

me and my partner have booked another holiday to playa paraiso for dec 2007

The resort was very clean, the odd bit of rubbish di get blown towards the \'beach\', but only one day it quite bad, the rest were ok.
Talk of the town piub was fab for my hubby as it sold his bitter rather than the lically produced stuff in the hotel which gave him bad stomach as he cant drink gassy drinks, rhythm and booze also a great english pu, and slug and lettuce who made chip butties on our first night even tho they has turned fryers off!!!!!
Wouldnt go again as to quiet.

The resort of Playa Pariso is looking a bit tired, some really old looking bars and resturants. However there is a spanking new 5 star hotel near the beach so things are looking up. The resort has a very small beach and small is the word, but you can\'t change the landscape. There is a sea water lido next to the beach and charges are made to use it.

There is a new and very neat promenade near to completion, by the 5 star, which will make for a pleasant stroll day or night. It is a resort with steep down and up hill gradients which lead to the various bars and eateries, there are some lets say, not \"English Breakfast\", ...
resturants down the hill and around the corner that offer meals of the day ie local stuff.

Pick or choose the ex pat places and you will get Scorpios, opposite hotel, a bit scruffy, but do usual stuff beer tea coffees. Rhythem and Booze 5 screens of footie good prices and good staff, up hill on right. Or The Eldon small, no footie, good beer and draught cider and nice owners that do a roast on Sundays booking advised, behind Scopios.

The supermarket is very good, has a cash machine, down hill on right, and prices are normal. There are few other shops selling stuff you can get at home, and a bank at the top of the hill. The resort is being developed and there are apartments being built this can only bring in more services to benefit the holiday maker.

No good if you like a beach holiday, but this did not bother us, there is no beach as such. Not much going on around about only four bars as I can recall, maybe a bit more lively in peak season, the resort seems to be going through a bit of redevelopment but this did not spoil our holiday and the resort was keep clean.

Playa Paraiso looks a little like a building site when you first arrive, but we were relieved that we had a good hotel to keep us happy.

There\'s not much in the way of shops, its mainly one street and a few bars.

The beach was so tiny and didn\'t look very appealing, so we never bothered to go there.

We would only visit this resort again solely for the hotel we stayed in.

The resort was clean although there was nothing there.

There was a lot of building work going on. There weren\'t many shops, only one restaurant and a couple of pubs. there was no beach, if you wanted to go to the beach there was a free bus to las americas.

We wouldn\'t go back again.

Very quiet, couple of bars and shops, only a few hotels and apartment blocks, but lots of developement going on in the area so it may become more lively.

There isn\'t a beach to speak of only a small cove, but we didn\'d use it.Not a resort to stay in if you are young and want to party, but good if you just want a quiet, relaxing time.

I would visit the resort again but only to stay at the Oasis Paraiso as we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The resort itself needs alot of attention and clean up!!!

The pavements were unsafe - I put my foot down a hole in the pavement. Also not very pushchair /wheelchair friendly!!!

Didn't matter to us as the hotel was enough.

The resort Costa Adeje but very far out, not much there but the hotel by far makes up for that. The hotel has a little beech that is just a slight walk away. Not good access for wheels though as it is on a hill and is steep.

Mr & Mrs Chestney visited here on June 2005
Playa Paraiso is a very quiet resort, although there is a lot of building work taking place with new hotels and apartment complexes in various stages of completion. As a consequence it is noisy during the day. If you hire a car parking is very limited and you may need to walk a distance to park. Sometimes this involves climbing a steep hill so is not always suitable for the less mobile. Shopping is very limited and there are only a few bars. There are 3 shops selling electrical goods, so if you want to buy anything make sure you barter to get the best prices. the Lido pool which is a sea water pool is very nice and the ...
water is changed every day. This is an up and coming resort but it will be several years before it is finished. We visited here three years before and a lot of the buildings under construction then are still not finished.

The resort was quite dirty which is suprising as it is a very small resortinfact lets stop calling it a resort it
is a street!

Entertainment consists of about 6 bars most with live musc or kareoke rythem and booze being about best
the beach if thats what you would call it is small smelly full of broken glass.

I would not visit the resort again back to Greece next year!

Hope this review helps someone. I believe in making your own holiday even if you have been dealt a bad hand.

But believe me this resort in my opinion should not be used by any self respecting travel companys,
shame on you thomsons youv'e lost a customer but somehow
I don't think you'll be bothered!!!!!!

Playa Paraiso is a small resort with 2 or 3 main hotels and some apartment blocks.More hotels are being built and do look to be progressing quite well. One site across from the pool side of the hotel Oasis is being cleared at the moment and may well see building work in the future. There are about a dozen bars and restaurants all on one main road through the resort. The beach really does not live up to the standards you would expect from a holiday resort it is small and not very clean. We only ever saw 2 or 3 people on it.It is mainly used by diving clubs as it is quite a sheltered little bay.The lack of a decent beach is ...
the reason for a large salt water lido situated just behind the beach. This is very popular at weekends when the local population seem to use it,but very quiet during the week.

Pamplemousse visited here on April 2005
We knew when we booked that the resort was very quiet and there was alot of building work going on but didn\'t quite expect the extent of this. The majority of vehicles were either buses or cement mixers and although it wasn\'t particlulary noisy it was an eye sore and not an attractive place to stay.

It\'s hard pushed to be called a resort, with only a few bars and shops, although there is a very good supermarket across the road. Unfortunately for us, it was their very quiet time and half the bars that were there were shut, so maybe there is a little more entertainment there than we could comment on in high season.

There is only a tiny, ...
shingly, beach. We did go on this a couple of times and there were a lot of fish to be seen, although it was dirty and alot of broken glass around so you would need to keep your feet covered.

We spent most days taking local buses to neightbouring resorts and beaches as it was much too quiet for us, despite only having young children and the beaches particularly at puerto Colon and Las Vistas were lovely.

Some people rarely left the hotel though, so if you want total relaxation and don\'t mind an unattractive appearance, or better still you like to crane spot you may like Playa Paraiso. For us though, it was far too quiet and unattractive.

No beach, lago lido needs an update floors very rough on bare feet. Yes its cold, but there were people swimming in it. We managed up to our ankles in the kids section!

Buses very good going to Playa de las Americas on the opposite side of road to hotel, Los Gigantes on hotel side of road. No queing system, just get on it asap!

TRIPS WITH THOMSON
Went up to Teide, too cloudy for cable cars, good trip, also did Loro Parque with Thomsons and had a lovely time.

INDIVIDUAL TRIPS
Went to, Puerto Colon and got a boat ride with a company called SKYLINE. There were the freebird guys selling but they were so crowded it lokked packed. There was only the 4 ...
of us on the SKYLINE and it was fabulous. Free drinks and a sandwich each, we saw dolphins and the whales, well worth the money.

Very safe(even though the Freebird boat people were insisting they were the safest, with a boat full of people) Our daugter was very safe and we all had a great time. Glad we did that trip as the we approached the guy in the office about the trip, he was not pushy and did not insist on a deposit like some other companies down there. His name was Stuart,he gave us his card and he remembered us when we went back a couple of days later.

Some trip sellers down there were really in your face, trying to get you to sign up to their trips, would recommend skyline company 100 per cent.
Building work is going on, they arrived at around 6.30am and finished at around 5pm. Little bit of noise but did not spoil holiday, everywhere you go there is a bit of building.
The resort has potential, it just is not there yet.
Always taxis outside which are reasonable.
This is just our opininion of our experience, you may have a totally different experience.

Phill visited here on December 2004
Playa Paraiso is a tiny resort about 15km away from the bright lights of Playa De Las Americas. The resort is basically one street comprising of 4 hotels, although there is a lot of work going on and the resort is growing. Strangely, although the resort seems to have grown in the 7 years since we last visited, it didnít seem anywhere near as busy, though this could have been due to the time of year.

There are some shops in the resort, a couple of supermarkets (the supermarket Felipe being the best/cheapest by some distance), a few electrical shops (I donít recommend buying ANY electrical items from these shops as the owners will rip you off given half a chance, ...
a particular favourite being the copied gameboy cartridges containing multiple games they buy from Japan for a few dollars and sell to the mums and dads for £40-£50) and some basic touristy type shops. There are also a few restaurants and bars, including a Chinese restaurant and the obligatory Karaoke bar.

Aside from shops/bars, there is also a freshwater Lido (not used it myself so cannot really comment) but, alas, no beach.

Whether or not you will enjoy staying in the resort is, of course, down to personal preference. Some will find it relaxing to be isolated, others will find it boring. Personally I couldnít stay in the resort for longer than a week

The resort is still being developed so there was building work going onon many new hotels, however this did not disturbe my holiday all. There where enough shops, restaurants and bars to get by but this is not the type of resort for varied Entertainment. Still, it is a lovely place and can\'t wait to return!
