The hotel on arrival was very welcoming, new and very clean.

The porter took our luggage to the villas which we had booked. They were very large and clean 2 bedrooms well sized 2 bathrooms 1 with bath and shower 1 with shower, lounge area kitchen area with hob microwave coffee machine fridge etc. Large size balcony with lovely views across the sea.

At night walking to the villas was difficult as there was no lighting along the paths. Proved difficult with pushchairs!

The restaurant food was a little bizarre for my liking cold sprouts on the salad bar (different!)

The pool was freezing!!!!!

The entertainment not much to de desired Kids disco. Music very loud we had to ask to turn it down. The daytime entertainment staff were loud waking our children by shouting wakey wakey!! Not good!

I would visit this hotel again but would wait until the improvements were completed.

We returned from this hotel on 16.01.05 so have recent experience.

We found the staff were probably the best & most friendly that we have come across, the rooms were excellent & the pool area was exceptional.

There is a problem at the front of the hotel with noise coming from a generator but when we asked to change rooms we were put along the side that faced the banana plantation & couldnt hear a thing.

The view from the room was lovely although there was not much sun on this side of the hotel. Although the hotel was quite full there were very few queques for either food or drinks. The food was varied ,well cooked and hot with a good selection at each meal.

The entertainment was fairly good with various shows on in the dicso downstairs but for more relaxed evenings there was usually a duo playing in the piano bar, which was very popular as there were loads of couples dancing.

There is still a little work going on but it away from the main part of the hotel & didnt bother us or any of the other guests that we could see.

Drinks are as usual in an all inclusive hotel(not branded names)but were all ok.

All in all we had a very good holiday & would definitely go back again

We arrived at this hotel with an open mind expecting a great deal of building work to be in progress, although there was work going on it caused minimal distraction.

We stayed in a villa/bungalow type accomodation at the bottom of the complex overlooking the sea, we found the accomodation spacious, comfortable and very clean.

The food in the restaurant was lovely with a large selection of all types of food. The animation team were excellent with the children and kept them occupied with games, discos and shows. The entertainment in the evening included a dance group, parrot show and a magician and various other shows from the animation team.

We as a family had a great week and would not hesitate to return to this hotel again.

Was worried about the noisy generator when I got there but my room was away from there. Still heard it in the room during the day but in between about 12-8 at night the noise went down a lot so was just in background, didnt keep me awake of a night and I am a very very light sleeper(they would would move you if you was unhappy with the room).

Food superb so much of a varied range. Reception good. Did not have to line up for drinks. Pool was to cold as not heated you could only see kids in the pool.

Location wasn't very good but they had a free bus to take you to Playa de las Americas. Drinks good would have prefered more premium brand drinks though.

I will be going to the hotel again in April and along with other friends. Overall I was very happy with this hotel and was a good price.

Like previous reviews we were a bit apprehensive before travelling, however were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.

Suites were lovely and spacious. They did overlook some building work on another site, but noise was not a problem.

All hotel staff except reception were helpful and friendly. Reception staff seemed very disinterested.

Food quality and choice were pretty good, although could have been better for a 4 star hotel.

Pool areas were very nice, although it would have been much better if heated.

We found the hotel location ideal, peaceful and relaxing but being close enough by car or free bus to main resorts.

Would recommend this hotel by Summer 2005, when teething problems should be resolved.

The hotel was extremely well mantained, every morning we awoke to find yet another improved garden bed, light-fittings up etc.

Although still under some construction it was in no way detrimental to our holiday. We had the misfortune of being placed at the front of the hotel with a generator noise very audible, there was no way I could endure this and after some ground-standing on my part we were moved to a suite facing Playa Paraiso, the suite had not been previously used, it was lovely.

We were assured the hotel was due to lose the generator within the week..... it's still very audible at the time of departure!

Always plenty of food available. Desserts are fantastic, salads reasonable, the main courses lack inspiration although ok. We seldomed queued for either drink or food.

The location is not good if you want a stroll in the evenings, it's easier stolling around the hotel which is worth the effort. Some floors are nine high, you can get out on the roof and the views are wonderful.

We have stayed in better hotels with grand floor levels this hotel does have the potential for improvement. The swimming pools are wonderful, we did not mind that they were cold it certainly never prevented children or the brave from having a great time.

We found all the staff helpful and friendly.

We had no complaints about the entertainment, make sure you discover the disco area as thats were the shows take place other than the residental singing duo.

There is room again for improvement but we've had much worse.

We would visit again, I would prefer its completion fist.

Despite publicity to the contrary, the hotel had only been open a week when we arrived.

Bedrooms were still not finished and so we had to wait over 3 hours to be allocated one.

The rooms themselves are brilliant (we stayed in a Junior Suite). These have 2 toilets and a bathroom with separate bath and cubicle shower which was excellent.

Unfortunately, there is still building work going on at the hotel and as some of this was directly underneath our balcony (which was at the side and overlooked a banana plantation and the sea), it made it unpleasant to sit on it. There was a loud 'generator' type noise which could be heard in a substantial part of the hotel i.e. front facing rooms and side rooms such as ours. This was 24 hours a day but couldn't be heard from the pool area.

The pool area was magnificent with 2 large pools, a wealth of sunbeds and a wonderful view out to sea. No need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sunbed!

The 'themed' restaurant in the grounds overlooking the sea was still under construction; the disco and children's club were unfinished and the playground was inaccessible as it was situated next to the themed restaurant. The villas were all unfinished at the time of writing.

The biggest disappointment was the quality of the hot food available. Obviously the food leaned towards German tastes with plenty of meats, cheeses pastries and sweet thing available for breakfast, but the hot selection of breakfast food in particular, was basic, mainly cold and uninspiring. We quickly worked out that you needed to be in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner early to avoid the queues for things like the coffee machine. The food was somewhat hotter first thing as well. I do have to say that on the last day of our visit, the food was certainly hotter.

Queuing for drinks could become quite tedious (the longest was 20 minutes at the pool bar) as were the power cuts which were particularly noticeable on an evening when the lights would go on and off regularly! Still this livened things up for the singing duo.

The restaurant was overcrowded if you waited until the second sitting on an evening but this would be due to the second restaurant being closed and so everyone had to eat in the main one.

The evening entertainment consisted of a Spanish duo singing a variety of Spanish and English songs - no other entertainment was on over the whole of our visit although this should change as professional shows were advertised.

Many guests were extremely angry and I saw one becoming particularly aggressive towards reception staff! We simply worked around the problems and enjoyed our week in the sun - others must have gone home more wound up than when they went!!

Once all these problems are resolved and all facilities are open and running, this will be a superb resort as a lot of thought has obviously gone into the design of the building (lots of internal walkways and courtyards.) It has spacious lounges with lots of marble and glass and just needs time for all the building work to finish and all facilities to open

The junior suite was spacious and clean but by the looks of things, we were the first to stay in this apartment. However, the telephone, television and air-conditioning(and heating) weren't working.

Our room faced the banana plantation and had a limited view to the sea. Inward facing rooms with the pool view would have been better.

The hotel is currently plagued with water and power outages day and night with engineering staff frantically running about trying to fix the latest problem.

The two themed restuarants are still under the early stages of construction and by the looks of it won't be ready until March at the earliest. Consequently, the main buffet restuarant is packed for all sittings.

Food choice is fairly standard but don't expect to get a good cup of coffee out of the machines.
The standard 'free' wines out of the taps were of a very low quality but you could buy your own bottle for approx 13 euros.

The pool bar offers cheap burgers and hotdogs, toasties, chips and basic salad. Coffee is as bad as in the restuarant and there is invariably a long queue for service.
Forget about the gym as it has very little equipment in it and the sauna cubicle is lying in the corner without a power supply.

If you have booked a villa, make sure that your's is completed before you go as we witnessed families arriving and being put into rooms.

Entertainment consisted of a duo singing some evenings. The daily programme which was being run by Germans was not being posted up on the entertainment board and the disco, although being pressed into service for New Year remained closed before and after.

The two large pools were in service with good quality sunbeds and towels provided free.

The hotel is a ten minute walk into Paraiso which doesn't look to offer anything of great quality anyway.
Taxi's from the airport cost about 25 euros.
All in all, we would go back but would leave it a year until all the building work is completed and the whole place, including the new staff, had time to bed in.
