The hotel provided excellent value for money. May be worth considering paying a little extra for a pool/sea view although we did not do this and the room was fine.

Really enjoyed Malgrat, although fairly quiet regarding night life.
Resort clean & safe. Good selection of shops, bars and restaurants, but quite poor night life. Entertainment consists of quizes, Bingo, Football and Soaps!
Karaoke every night at The Robin Hood and occasionally at Eureka Bar. We would recommend those two bars.
Beach lovely and clean, although sand a little coarse, but doesn't spoil it really.
You can walk for 20 minutes into next resort, Santa Susanna. Lovely resort with some super hotels. Some entertainment in the hotels, but need to pick and choose what to see.
We are planning to return next year; the good points overide the few bad points easily.

Good all round family resort - not an awful lot of culture it has to be said, but not trashy & brash either.
Loads of little shops to wander round day & night and Santa Susanna ( loud, proud and not for those after a quieter stay) is a pleasant 20 minute easy stroll with nice little series of market stalls all lit up at night open till around midnight selling, jewellery, clothes, homemade juices, gifts etc etc. and all reasonably priced (try haggling too, you may be lucky) - there's also a couple of little play areas for the kids along the way too.
Train service is nearby and is cheap and excellent for local resorts & also Barcelona but the busses were I thought a bit pricey.
Try a visit to Lloret too - it has a huge amount of bad press much of which is no doubt justified after dark but we visited during the day and although the shopping was clearly very 'touristy', my wife and daughter actually enjoyed it and the beaches there were great too - worth the trip alone was the walled walks around the castle set into the cliff at one end of the beach - fantastic views across the cove and little steps every so often that led down to the rocky areas with your own little 'mini cove' - lovely.

The resort was average, there are shops nearby, and plenty of restaurants, there are a few english bars close.
The beach is ok, although it can get quite busy.

the resort was very clean, and there was alot of resturants to go to which were very nice and always welcoming.There were pubs and clubs to go to which was only a little walk away from are hotel.The beach was lovely and very clean.We are hoping to go again next year.

In June, July & August the sun on the Costa Brava is really hot during the middle of the day so I would advise visitors not to stay too long on the beach between noon & 4:00pm especially if they have young children!also beware of the strong currents and steep fall away of the sea bed unless you are a good swimmer.
The resort is well served by many shops,bars & resturants and an excellent coastal railway allowing easy access to other Costa Brava resorts and a low cost return fares to Barcelona city which is a must for turists.

Lovely resort and friendly people.
There is a man who makes wire ornaments on the main walk and they are really good.

A terrible resort, very scruffy and run down and covered in graffiti. Probably the worst place I have ever been to for a holiday. Definitely will not be returning!!

The beach was very close to the hotel, extensive and very clean. It would be suitable for couples or families alike. The resort was quiet with little to do which suited us. The train to Barcelona and Blanes could not have been more convenient and was not too expensive.

We came very early in the season mid-march - april. Quite a lot of cafes etc were not open. I would not recommend the resort at this time of year for young couples in twenties, families with older teens and definitely not for hen/stag type holidays. However I think it is an excellent choice for over 40's and for families with children.
