matthew daly visited the Bali Hotel, Benalmadena in September 2007
We had a really good holiday at the bali hotel, rooms cleaned every day and plenty of english channels on the tv in room.
Pools were great and also the entertainment day and night.
Could not fault the food, variety is great and plenty of it!
The hill up to the hotel is not that bad and we pushed a buggy up it daily.
Was not much for the kids to do locally, we walked to the marina every night so our son could go on the rides/amusements but other than that the only child entertainment was back at the hotel.
The beach is horrible so if your a beach lover dont go here, the whole time we were there you could not even get on the beach because it was full of washed up bamboo sticks.
Only downside to this holiday was the amount of ...
old people, we have nothing against them but they were just so rude, one day when they were queing for the bus (which i dont reccommend if you have kids as they get crammed packed, its worth paying the extra for a taxi)my partner was crossing the busy main road with our 2 yr old son and they would not let her get on the path because they didnt want to loose there place in the bus que. It was just shocking how rude they were pushing and giving dirty looks when our son made any noise.
Watch out for time share touts!!

Have stayed here 4 times over many years, the first 3 were with my family and it suited us very well. Now I\'m in my 50s, my partner and I have just found this very good hotel is not for us anymore. I think it is still a good family hotel as many young families seemed to be enjoying themselves, The very steep hill leading up to the hotel (that I used to run up) has become difficult. The staff are friendly enough, good bar service, nice snack bar. They do need to purchace some matresses for the sun loungers as it is not very comfortable laying on a lump of hard plastic all day. Also some more parasols as they had all been reserved by 7am. We were in one of the new studios, and were very impressed. It ...
was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The door card operates the electricity so not advisable to put any frozen food in fridge as it defrosts when you go out. Other similar hotels have the fridge on a bypass. Had a good holiday but my love of the Hotel Bali has come to an end.

claire, chris & thomas visited the Bali Hotel, Benalmadena, Spain in August 2007
I had been on a few websites to check this hotel out as i am told i am the most fussiest person when it comes to hotels!! So, once i looked i really wasnt expecting much but i was very suprised when we arrived.
The room we had was compact but very clean & tidy, rooms were cleaned almost everyday.
We prefer too eat out on holiday, the half board came automatically with the deal, but we actually ended up eating in the hotel 3 nights out of the 7 we were there as the food was really good & was a good selection. Breakfast was also really good too.
The staff was friendly & the kids club seemed good too. The pools were kept clean too. The only problem we had was the usual holiday makers getting up at 6am ...
to put towels on sunbeds then dont come down till 12!!
Also, they could probably do with a few more spare rooms for you on your last day for you to shower in etc...i had a very rude man bang on our door to hurry up & we had only been in there 15 mins, i was really annoyed with that. The reps are ok, so long as you dont have a problem. I had bad toothache half way through our hol & asked where nearest dentist was. She advised me to wait until i got home, which was pretty unhelpful. Luckly it was just an ulcer so it could wait. Hotel in itself was fine & the hill is ok really. It seemed to get worse as the week went on though!! If you are old or have a buggy i could see it being a problem.

Karen stayed at Bali Hotel, Benalmadena in August 2007
Hotel was spotless, Self Catering Apartments were
fantastic, loads of space, double bedroom, 3 wardrobes, steps down to good size living area with
sofa bed in and good kitchen area with fridge etc.
Hotel staff were very friendly, entertainment team
were fantastic, very good with the kids, loads of games, mini disco, something to keep kids busy most of the day and evening. Swimming pools were good, quite busy but could always find a sun bed before 11 am. Would definately return.

Barbara visited the Bali Hotel, Benalmadena in July 2007
We have just arrived back from Benalmadena today we booked this as a cheap last minute. Four of us were in the party two adults and two children aged 13 and 9.

On arrival to the hotel the first impression was great the guys on the reception spoke good english which always helps.

We were in room 2802 with a fantastic view of the sea and we could see the harbour so the kids would watch the boats come in and out. The room was very basic only 2 plug points of which you had to fiddle with the plug to get it working.

There are 4 pools in total 2 childrens and 2 larger ones. The upper pool was kept very clean as that is where the nightly entertainment was but the lower pool was really grubby to the side there ...
were broken parasols lying kids old inflatables which looked as though they had been there for some time. We actually seen a Daily Mirror which had been out of date for over a week. But the pool was cleaned every morning and the area hosed down around it.

There are lots of good bits though as the rooms were kept clean I think we had maid service every day. The food was fantastic lots of variety and the shows which were put on were really good. They had a disco but it was really younger children who got involved. The reps from the hotel played games throughout the day which was for both adults and kids ie water basketball, archery, darts etc.

I would visit the hotel Bali again as it does have a good location except for that hill you have to climb. Tip - stop in at the shop half way up lol!

You do have to vacate your room by 12 but they do provide you with a courtesy room. Only thing is they only allocate one room and we had to queue in a warm corridor for about 45 mins to get a shower you were then under pressure to really hurry as you know there are lots of people outside waiting so if you have a late departure its worth checking if the room is free earlier than you need to save you feeling hurried. It would be better if they allocated time slots the day before.

Just to let others know this is a very popular Hotel and for a three star the food is excellent.
O.K it is on a steep hill so for the less mobile it could prove difficult..
The rooms were clean and comfterble with air con which was more than welcome in the summer heat..
Was so impressed booked to go again soon...
So if your thinking about it book it you can\'t fault it and will enjoy yourself..
10/10 to the Bali...

Great holiday at the Bali. Food was great with something every night.Entertainment was first class with the Polish girls always up for a laugh and always tried to get you fully involved . Room was spacious and always kept clean . We were in block one so some of our views were limited but I can imagine great views if you are in block 2 as it faces the sea .All in all I would highly recommend the hotel , the resort I\'m not so sure off.

Just back from our 4th stay at the Bali, hotel as good as ever.

Only down side was the entertainment seems to be different people this year and nowhere near as good as previous years.

However we will return to this hotel in future. The San Juan festival was on whilst we were there and is definately worth seeing.

Sharon stayed at Bali Hotel, Benalmadena, Spain in June 2007
We spent a week here on a last minute deal.

Breakfast: Cooked breakfasts were swimming in fat - not recommended! If you chose carefully, it was possible to have a reasonable breakfast with a wide variety of choice but the quality of the food was no better than average.

Dinner: A really good variety of meats and carb dishes (pasta/rice/potatoe) but very little in the way of vegetables.

There are NO DRINKS (not even water) provided at dinner and they have a bar in the restaurant itself. However, the prices are OTT in comparison to local shops (eg - for a 500ml bottle of water in the Restaurant was

DAVID FLINT visited the Bali Hotel in May 2007
Arrived at hotel late due to airport delays, and as we had been half board and missed evening meal we was informed that the day we left we could eat in the restaurant that night! bonus!

During the week enjoyed the resort and the hotel, only cardiac hill was problem espicially if you had been to the square and had consumed far to much San Miguel!!!!

Joking apart I would recommend this hotel for its night life and the way your looked after by the entertainers and the staff,i would reco a trip to Aqualand in Torremolinos,10 euros each way in a cab, loads to do and lots of fun.

Food was plentiful and always tasty,if you do go to Benalmadena I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Andrea visited the Bali Hotel in May 2007
Just returned from a 11 night stay at the Hotel Bali. On arrival check in was quick and reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but very clean.

Our room (1123) was over the entertainment area so could be a little noisy up until 1am. Food was great with lots of choice at both breakfast and evening meal.

The night entertainment started at 8.30pm with the Kids disco which was usually followed by bingo and a show and disco.

The Thomson Kids Club Reps were great and our little boy enjoyed the activities that were on offer. Some of the Thomson Reps were not that helpful and were more interested in selling trips, my advice would be to ask the reception staff for any information instead.

The hotel is on Cardiac hill but to tell the ...
truth it wasn\'t half as bad as I expected, crossing the main road at the bottom was worse.

The Hotel is ideally situated to get to other places with both bus stops and the Train station in walking distance. The local park is also lovely and only a 10 min walk from the hotel.

Went to Benalmadena for 2 weeks the hotel was great and there was lots to do evening and night( great shows).

The hotel was very clean and the cleaners was very polite i would definitely rate it a 5.

The food was great! They did all sorts of food to satisfy everyone.

The hotel location great except a hill you will have to climb to get to it. which isnt all that bad really as we loved the challenge.

The hotel staff was polite and friendly and was never rude they helped you out as much as they possibly could the bar staff always served you with a smile and you always feel welcome.

I would definitely visit this hotel again for definately as it was fantastic really enjoyed it as it was the 6th time of returning there and when we\'ve left just makes us want to return.

Sue & Dave had a holiday at Bali Hotel in April 2007
Just returned from the Bali and had a thoroughly enjoyable week. Yes, the rooms are a little shabby and could do with an upgrade but the entire hotel was clean.

Towels changed daily and rooms cleaned daily, more than enough room for the 2 of us.TV with the usual Sky News channel and also BBC1 and ITV3

We had a problem with a droning noise in our first room. When we mentioned this to the rep and reception, we were moved within the hour! Result!

Food was always plentiful and we didn\'t go hungry, tables cleared rapidly, good choice of food, you go to the bar yourself and the prices were reasonable for a hotel

Didn\'t go to any of the night time entertainment but those that did looked to enjoy theirselves, each to their own as they say!

Animacion team were always on the ...
go with the usual daytime games, darts, pool etc. The 2 girls certainly earned their wages, they were still line dancing into the night!

Loads of sunbeds, try get a yellow one, they\'re comfier :) but, as always you get the ones who put their towels on 1st thing in the morning then don\'t use them til late in the afternoon! Muppets! This backfired on the 1 day of the week when we had rain as their towels, books and papers got soaked haha, and there were more people than just me who had a good giggle at their expense!!!

The hill is steep but ok if you take it easy walking up, your on holiday, relax, several pubs on the way up, try Good Companions & Murphy\'s Place.

Hotel\'s close to Bonanza Square, just turn left out of the hotel, lots of pubs n food places

We were lucky with the weather as I believe it rained all over Easter and the day we returned 21st April it was raining

Good value for money hotel, everything on hand and yes, we\'d definately return. You don\'t go on holiday to look at the furniture do you. The beds were comfy and clean, as was the bathroom, what more do you need

Mrs fox stayed at Bali Hotel, Benalmadena, Spain in February 2007
We have just returned from a week at the Bali hotel and I can honestly say we all had a great time. Check in was quick and easy, but finding the way to our studio was a bit tricky!

Studios were spotlessly clean and fairly well equipped. The pull out sofa beds are really only suitable for kids, very uncomfortable fo an adult. The balcony was in the shade all day so towels didn't dry.

We were self catering so didn't eat in the restaurant but ate in the sunny view cafe which was very nice.

The hotel entertainment team were great, hi to Sara and Andrea. Kids enjoyed daytime games eg golf, darts, skittles etc. There were lots of older people there and alot of the evening entertainment was geared to them but we still enjoyed the shows.

We would definitely recommend the ...
hotel Bali and we had gorgeous weather, a bonus for February!!

Check out the El Cordero restaurant and El Karmen restaurant on Bonanza square-both excellent

The hotel is close to a shop, cashpoint, bustop, restaurants, the beach.

Staff were very friendly and spoke and understood good english. The food was very good with a different selection each night. There wasnt a lot of entertainment, mainly aimed at the older generation at night time.

The self catering apartments are excellent for familys, really good selection of kithcen items and spacious.

Thank you for a great Christmas 2006 and thank you to the reps Nat, Jenny, Eddie and the staff at Bali hotel.

Price had a holiday at Bali Hotel in December 2006
After just returning from the Bali, just thought we\'d mention what a lovely time we had. The hotel was extremely clean, friendly and the food was lovely (especially the ice creams after dinner for the kids)!

Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced, and plently of friendly bars nearby.

As for location, we thought it was perfect, based between the marina and the park, a must to visit both.

The entertainment was more geared for the elder generation as in the winter the guests are more that age than ours i would guess, but they did try in the daytime to get folk joining in with mini-golf, shooting, etc.

All in all,for the price we paid, I would definitely recommend it.
