Gooner had a holiday at The Imperial Queens Park Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand in March 2007
Nice lavish reception and lobby area, the kind that you would expect from good hotels in the Far East.
The rooms were large and of a good standard. The hotel was clean, and rooms cleaned on a regular basis.
Only ate breakfast at the hotel once and wasnt too impressed. Dined once at the hotel in the evening and the food was very average. There are a good selection of restaurants at the hotel, but cannot comment on the quality as we did not use them.
Staff were generally friendly especially reception area.
The main issue with the hotel is its location in that its on the far side of Sukhhmvit Rd, on Soi 22. Not really a great issue, as there is a shopping maill (Emporium) very close to the hotel, but enough of an issue for me ...

Arrived and was impressed by reception and staff . We thought we were in for a very special stay.
However, the room did not reflect the opulance of the receptions areas. Shower dirty as was the curtains which were ripped. Wallpaper marked and ripped in parts. A extensive modernisation was needed. Moved room immediately, staff very helpful.
We ate in the hotel but again meals did not reflect the quality expected.
If we travel to Bangkok again will stay in different hotel

Really nice hotel in a great location.
Next doot to the park where you can watch the locals doing Tai Chi every evening.
Also near to the MRT stop so easy to get to other places.
There is also a large shopping centre nearby.
The breakfast was very extensive but extremely expensive.
