Booked as a last minute deal for a winter break so didn't really pay much for the holiday. I was glad because this is not a 4* hotel. Well that's just my opinion. It's a really bad hotel, i have been to plenty worse but these went supposed to be 4*'s. That is why i have given a few low marks.

The entertainment was excellent. The animation team work really hard all day and night.

At the hotel there was only a disco and lobby bar. The drinks are served in small glasses but this is not a problem as you can get a few at a time. The drinks are watered down but if you drink enough you can get tipsy. Or even blind drunk as i managed to prove on my 2nd night.

There is a lovely harbour about 5-10 mins taxi ride away. You can easily get a taxi when you leave the hotel. Haggle with the price. We only paid 2 dinars to get to the harbour. Some people where paying 4 or 5, which isn't much but it mounts up. We never went at night but many other guests in the hotel went and said it was good.

Now the food. What can i say, it was bland and was the same thing every day, dinner and tea. Breakfast wasn't too bad as i enjoyed the pancakes they made but you had to wait ages if you wanted more than one. They also served full cabbages for breakfast if your into that!?!

The hotel was clean enough but as a non smoker i was a bit disappointed that the hotel constantly had a mist of cigarette smoke hanging over it. There was a very very small non smoking area but as this was next to the smoking section and there was no ventillation it was still quite bad (that's if you could get a seat in it). It was winter though and the doors were closed so maybe it is different in summer when the doors are open and the hotel is more ventillated.

After reading some of the reviews on this hotel we went with an open mind. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very spacious. There was plenty of food laid on things were cooked as specialities during the morning and evening there was a buffet type meals. We had no problem finding something to eat. If we had took the children with us they might not have been so easily pleased.

You are just around 20 Min's away from the marina which is lovely to go round at night. Ask the taxi drivers how much it will cost to go anywhere before you get in the car, around 4-5 dinars to the marina is adequate. There is also horse drawn carriages waiting for you outside the hotel also.

The entertainment staff do a fantastic job, they are on duty from 10.00 am until well after midnight doing their own shows also.

We went on the 2 day Sahara trip as it was Tina's 40th Birthday and what a trip this is definitely a must, if you have small children then I would think long and hard before booking this trip as it is a very tiring trip, riding the camels through the Sahara was beautiful. Also 4x4 through the desert is an experience also. The weather wasn't really on our side but we would definitely go back in the hotter weather - this hotel is a definite must!

The hotel and rooms we found to be very clean and well maintained, the hotel grounds are very nice and well kept, We found the staff to be very helpfull and polite and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.

Now the food!! (if you can call it that) this hotel is the worst hotel in any country I have ever stayed in, the food was discusting, we were on all inclusive and on occasions had to eat out due to the food being so bad.

On the menu one nite Blackbird pie of all things, I for one like eating local food, but not this time. The bar drinks are very weak, and you get a little frazzled at being pestered to buy camel rides, motor bike rides, and a number of other things, they just come along and join you at your table in the lounge and you have to be rude to get rid of them.

I for one won't be returning to this hotel or tunisia in the future.

To be honest I was a bit dubious about visiting Tunisia as we had heard all the stories about the locals pestering you with stuff to sell, also pickpockets etc. We couldn't have been more suprised, the people were great and very friendly.

The hotel was clean and you could see that the staff take great pride in what they do.

The food was a different matter, aimed mainly at the German guests. If you like fried cabbage or cauliflower cheese for breakfast then you are in for a treat. The food is buffet style and we found a couple of things to keep us going (oh for a tray of beans just in the morning just for breakfast). Evening meals again mostly aimed at the German guests.

The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the port either along the main road or you can walk along the beach. Taxi drivers, what can you say about them except they are a pain. They hang around outside the hotel as soon as you step through the gate they are on you. If you are walking anywhere the continously beep their horns and stop for you to get in so don't make eye contact or acknowledge them in any way unless you want to use one.

The staff are great and work really hard, but are always smiling.

If you are into dancing shows then this will be your bag, because while we were there that's all the shows were. Could do with a bit more variety. If you have any football shirts that you don't wear take them especially England shirts they love them.

All in all a really good holiday for what we paid.

Management of this hotel should be congratulated on the standard of service and cleanliness their staff provide.

There was an enormous selection of food at every mealtime of excellent quality. The entertainment team were extremely enthusiastic and tried to involve all age groups -I don't know where they get their energy from!

Although the hotel is around 15 mins from the Port, taxis or horse-drawn carriages are available any time of the day at the front gate for a few dinar. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, and it is my intention to it next year.

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were greeted by a helpful porter who took our luggage for us.

Our room was very clean (although there was a bad smell from the drains which soon went after flushing the loo several times). We had a great view of the beach and pool.

The beach was clean with loads of sports, banana boats, pedlos etc...the only thing that we were wary of was that it was jelly fish season so we were a bit careful swimming in the sea.

The food was all buffet style with plenty of variety, but did get a little boring towards the end.

We ventured out into the Port by taxi - always ask how much first as it varied from 2-4 dinar, not much I know but annoying when the 2 dinar ride drops you no where near. Shopping in the port was great, we all got the hang of bartering and got some good bargains.

The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic.

The entertainment team were first class - we will always remember Shaggy and Ali G. Night time entertainment was good, with a show every night, including Fire eaters around the pool and a Tunisian theme night.

We will definitely be going back.........very soon.

I read many things about this hotel before we left and at the end of our holiday, I was convinced others must have been somewhere else. The place was fantastic.

Ok the paint on the corridor door frames could have done with a lick of paint, but honestly, that was it.

The maid service is beyond what you expect and a quiet word with the cleaner will get you everything you desire above the normal service. 40p each for washing and ironing shirts and shorts meant we came home with a completely clean suitcase ready for next holiday.

Sheets changed daily when asked as against every other. Floor bath and sinks washed and tidied daily. New towels every day.

Food in the hotel was so varied I never ate the same thing twice in 14 days. They have two specials areas which put on something unusual every day. Quails, fish, octopus, half a pig, beef wellington, stir fry's, omelette's, frankly I could go on forever.

Location is quiet and peaceful, but only 4 quid in any direction in a cab if you want to go out. But warning nothing outside apart from markets is an improvement on where you are.

Hotel staff will do everything you ask them and will address any problems you have, there is no need to contact rep. Hotel manager(s) Bar - Restaurant - Hotel all proved most helpful to us, no matter what we asked.

Entertainment : Gob smacked, don't know where to start.
Live shows at evening aperitif time enjoyable, night shows excellent. Entertainment staff start at 9am and work until 2am the following day. They kept all the kids and adult-kids amused all day and all night.

Although we were never asked for or hinted at to leave tips at the end of our holidays we left
14 x 30 dinar tips (2.4 to

We found the hotel to be very clean.

The food was excellent. We liked the Italian and Tunisian restaurants that you can visit once each on your stay. They were the only place where we got real drinks If you like to get drunk you will be dissappointed at this hotel.

During our stay we went to the reps night which was overpriced but we did enjoy a night away from the hotel.

We also went on a pirate boat from the lovley harbor.

The animation team were the best we have ever come across in over 10 all inclusive holidays.

All the staff at this hotel are excellent and much deserve any tips they may get. They got plenty off us.

Well done to everyone.

You put many hotels to shame ifeel hounered to have stayed at your hotel.

Very nice clean hotel. Food in main dining room large choice but not to my liking, my husband seemed to like it ok.

Location - for us it was too far away from the main resort, told it was a 15-20 min walk, we must have walked about 1 hour.

Staff - very friendly and helpful, especially when you tip them well.

Entertainment - different show in disco bar every night, dont know about daytime

We would not visit this hotel again as it was too far away from everything.
