We stayed in this hotel for one week, on what was a cheap end of year break in the sun. We did actually book a different hotel in PEK but got moved a few days before. We were glad we were moved.

The hotel suited what we wanted - nice surroundings, good food, some sunshine, on the beach.

We couldn't see the point of all inclusive as we like to eat out at lunch times, we enjoy a few drinks but not to excess - perhaps a bottle of wine with dinner and a drink before and after. we worked out that we were better off with the half board option.

The food was good, large choice for both breakfast and dinner. We were happy with the dinner sittings as you didnt have to be there at a specific time but could wander in a bit later and linger as long as you like over your meal.

We didn't bother with the evening entertainment - too cheesy for us. We prefered a quiet drink in the piano bar.

Overall we enjoyed this holiday and would recommend the hotel. It is the furthest out from the town of PEK but this didn't bother us as the walk was good, and taxis were very cheap.

When we saw the foyer, we thought how grand. We booked a double room with pool view, which we did not get, although without asking were upgraded to a family suite, how massive was that. Our view was at the front of the hotel, which was nice because the sun set in front of us.

We booked in for half board but changed to all inclusive after two days, saved a fare bit, we all enjoyed the food, what a variety.

The staff were all very helpful.

The hotel was very clean, although the pool bar toilets were a bit smelly at times. I reported an incident, it was cleaned straight away.

The entertainment I felt catered for everyone, it reminded me of going to a holiday camp when I was younger, if you don't join in you don't know what fun you can have. Enjoyed water aerobics, had a go at darts, we felt quite at home here, would love to take other members of our family and friends.

The location wasn't too bad could get a cheap cab to marina or even Sousse itself, although we never went but would definitely try next time.

Dave had a massage, had to pay, but he said it was worth it.

All inclusive drinks could be more variable, and perhaps a late night snack bar, because if you have first sitting for dinner, you can develop the munchies later.

I think I've covered most of it, oh yes 4 floors 4 lifts ours kept breaking down, but stairs exercise was ok.

Hello to every one we met this year, from England, Dave , Sheree and Michael.

First visited this hotel in 2000, on half board basis found it excellent. However returned this month 3/2006 now it has been taken over by the RIU group and is all inclusive now.

The service in the resturant is full buffet service the food has dropped in quality but not overly much my wife is a veggie and found that she didn't have a problem at all re the food.

The waiter service for drinks is great if you make the effort with the waiters and bar staff with regular tips there was no problem getting drinks of any kind.

The entertainment is low key and the usual Tunisian type, but if you want disco's etc you're in the wrong hotel.

I would go back certainly the all inclusive deal is well worth it!!!

The hotel is definately not an International 5* hotel, although the front of house areas are very impressive, overall I would say it is closer to international 3* standard.

There were no facilities in the room for tea/coffee, no minibar (although there was a fridge) and no access to the internet for communicating with UK. Despite this, it was still the best hotel in the area.

The rooms are basic but clean and the sheets were changed daily. During our stay the hotel changed hands and there were small changes to the evening meal system. Initially, we had to help ourselves to starter, waiter service main course and self help dessert.

After the takeover the waiter service was discontinued in favour of a buffet type dinner - this suited us much better.

The location of the hotel was ideal, just a short walk through the pool area to the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and always provided a high quality service.

Although there was entertainment on every evening, it was pretty amateurish, however as we had decided to go for a quiet relaxing two weeks this didn't affect us.

Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and the surrounds as it provided what we were after - a quiet, clean and safe holiday location.

The hotel cleanliness overall was very good, the foyer is absolutely immaculate and amazing. However, this is our second visit to this hotel and the rooms are now looking extremely shabby and are definately due for referbishment! I am sure the rooms haven't been modernised since the hotel was built some years ago!

The hotel's food was good, though somewhat Repetitious and there were a couple of cases of Tunisia Tummy, which I suffered myself. I can't say if this was due to a Hygiene issue, or wether it was a change of diet!

The location of the hotel was brilliant, only a few Kilometres from the town centre, which is well worth a visit.

We coudn't fault the hotel staff, they were as friendly and helpful as ever.

The hotel entertainment leaves a lot to be desired! The Amimation Club are an absulute pain, there's no way you could emjoy a quite day by the pool, or a quite evening in your room, especially if you have a pool or sea view! The Animation Club now carries on all day long at the pool side, from 10am until around 6pm with their 1000watt speakers! The guys then carry on after tea time, starting at around 8-9pm with their entertainment outside the building until around 11:30am. This is very noisy and if you have children who you want to put to bed early, or have an early night yourself, forget it, you've no chance!

I'm afraid that we won't be visiting the hotel again, as the standards have deteriorated somewhat. We were also informed that the hotel is going all inclusive from October, which I'm sure will lower the tone of the hotel.

Marhaba Imperial, was a fabulous hotel, after staying there four times,we have just returned, very annoyed and sorry to say we will not be returning.

There is no fault with food, staff, rooms cleanliness, but we have been going there for the simple reason, quiet, peacful, and wind down, this time, the hotel has been taken over by RIU,who in there wisdom, think that people want something called animation, entertainment around the pool area! Sorry we do not unwind to loud headbanging music, which normally the Germans swill there beer to. We are adults and can find our own if needed, the whole experience was something from Butlins, and we along with quite a few others who we spoke to,will not be returning.

Just come back from a fantastic stay, couldn't recommend it enough!

The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, and by the end of our first week they were treating us like family, even when we saw them outside of the hotel.

Our breakfast waiter wouldn't even let us pour our own drinks, leading to comedy tussles on more than one occasion! Even those that don't speak much English always made an effort.

The hotel is spotless, and the maid service is excellent; we had fresh roses in our room everyday.

The beach was also cleaned daily, lovley soft sand. Clear blue seas, so you could watch the fish swimming around your feet. Not clear enough for us spot the jelly fish though, we both got stung. Rubbing a slice of fresh tomato from the bar or restaurant soon sorts this out though.

All loungers and mattresses are free. The hotel offers jet-skiing, paragliding and pedalos at good prices, and the guys that ask you on the beach to have a go are all employed by the hotel so are genuine.

We had been warned by our rep not to accept any excursions or trips, and especially do not give deposits, to anyone else who asked us in the beach - we signed up for quad biking in this way however. We refused to give a deposit, and agreed to meet the guy in reception the following day assuming he wouldn't show up. However, he did, and we had a great time. I'd highly recommend it, but take a bandana to wear under the helmets, as they're not too nice, particularly when someone else has just taken them off....! We enjoyed it so much we went a second time.

Our Airtours rep was very good, and we booked two excursions through her, the African Dream and the Camel Caravan. The African Dream invloved a trip to Frigua Safari Park, then an evening of traditional Tunisian entertainment and cuisine. It also involves South African Zulu dancers, who were brilliant. The Camel Caravan is exactly as it says, a morning riding camels through the countryside. Again this was great fun, but my partner still maintains that mens' legs are not meant to open that wide....!

The food is self-service for breakfast, and there is everything you could possibly want, from fried stuff to salads and pastries. Two chefs also make fresh omelettes and crepes to order. In the evening, starters are self-service, as are desserts, but the main course is chosen from a menu; the choice is extensive, and neither of us had the same meal twice in a fortnight. The only let-down on the food was that the only main course offered for non-meat eaters wasa different type of omelette each night - possibly to be expected in a culture that doesn't have a word for vegetarian in it's language?!

If there are less than three in your party, you will be sat with other people of the same nationality. This was fine for us, as we got on so well with our 'other couple' that we spent a lot of our days and nights together.

The entertainment was standard hotel-style:- a kiddies' disco every night (be warned, the dodgy songs they play will eventually stick in your head and haunt you!), followed by bingo, local dancers, karaoke, etc.

A small criticism would be that all of the entertainment is held on the terrace at the back fo the hotel - for those of us who paid extra for a sea view, this could get quite loud. The same could be said of the music around the pool; it wasn't on constantly, but when it was, it was too loud. However, on our last day we filled out a feedback form and mentioned this - we spent the day by the pool as we had a late flight, and the music was barely noticable, if it was on at all. Another example of how hard the staff work to keep guest happy.

The hotel is in an excellent location - close to the port, but far enough away to be peaceful. We walked along the beach to the marina, and also got taxis (about 3 dinar /

We absolutely loved this hotel. What a shame it is going to all-inclusive now. We were planning to return, but maybe not now. Everywhere was spotlessly clean the hotel food was more than satisfactory to a man who is so fussy it's unbelievable.

Didn't really venture far from the hotel, no need because we didn't go for shopping and haggling!

The entertainment was ok and enough to keep my partner from getting bored during the day. The evening's were a bit dull and repetitous.

The Airtours rep was non-existent and wouldn't travel with them again ever.

I have stayed at this hotel before we came back this year and I must say the animation team were a right laugh. They kept me entertained I went with my mother, and the keep-fit sessions gave me the holiday environment and water-polo abit rough for girls but I got stuck in anyway.

The staff were brilliant they were all the same face from last year, they could never do enough for you.

Hotel is absolutely brilliant it very posh and it's got very high standards and their main priority is you.

The food is gorgeous with loads to choose from your mouth waters.

Altogether absolutely brilliant.
