Came back last week from our 2 week hol at the Kervan Hotel in side. Was our first time there last year and we loved it so much that we went back again this year. The hotel has nice, clean rooms. Lovely pool and pool bar. Staff are very friendly and speak good english. Ozkan and sedat at the bar are fantastic. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the fabulous beach where you can enjoy many watersports inc paragliding which we have done twice, i recommend this you will be amazed. The best place to try this would be with the Liman watersports guys. Near the hotel is a variety of shops and mini supermarkets which cater for all your needs. the best place to eat and drink near there would have to be the Kingfisher pub and restaurant, staff are fantastic, very friendly and make you feel really at home. We have made some great friends there. Food is excellent quality and great value for money. Its a very comfortable place making it easy to relax and chill out. They do a fantastic English breakfast and make some great cocktails. They also have Sky Sports which is great for all us football fans, along with Rugby and F1 etc. Side in itself is a lovely place, great sunshine, friendly atmosphere everywhere, you do get hassled but hey thats all part of the fun, would be boring if nobody tried to have a bit of a laugh with you. You can haggle down prices of some great gifts. Me and bf are 24 and 25 and the resort caters for all ages, children, couples, elder people. YOu wont be disappointed, so much we have booked already again within a week of returning bk to manchester for next summer, cant wait haha. Hope this helps anybody thinking to go. Very Happy

My party stayed for two weeks in August and we could not wait to get home. The age of our travellers were 21,19,16,16 and 14.
The rooms were average. We asked for a sea view and we only got a small amount of it from our room. The bathroom was a hazard and any one could easily slip on the surface after a shower. The main thing is to make sure that you report any thing wrong with the room as soon as you get there as the staff tried to make us pay

Hotel is in good position - breakfast was fantastic
as they serve proper Turkish as well as German/English.
Pool area very dangerous as tiled and child badly hurt her leg slipping on wet tiles.
We did not eat at the hotel and the bar prices were extortionate - however turkey has gone up in price overall- shower room got very slippery
Staff had basic grasp of English except maid who kept introducing herself and stood guard day we were leaving - quite intimidating.

The hotel is situated about a mile from the main harbour and a mile from Kumkoy,both within reasonable walking distance.
The hotel has four floors, the first being below main reception level and the pool and restuarant are also below reception level.
The room we stayed in was quite adaquate, clean and had a safe, fridge, tv and air-con. The safe cost 42ytl for the 2 weeks, the charge for the air-con was excessive 15ytl a day which worked out at about
