After all the bad reviews I have heard about the holiday villages I went in expecting the worse but was pleasantly surprised. I had booked a kids den and was quite surprised at the size of the rooms. The room was very clean and the maid was in to clean daily. The only downfall was they expected £200 deposit for the PlayStation and a fee for the games.
They had a good choice of food in the restaurant and there was always something you could eat, Although my son did get fed up with chips every day. There was a lot going on in the resort and my children where never bored. The kids clubs were great.

great beach it is well worth making the journey into Sarigerme village, and go to the local beach. The sand is soft and the water is shallow and great for children.

We really enjoyed this holiday, the best thing about it are the kids clubs and activities on offer for families. The food is ok, always something to eat but by no means gourmet! The drinks let the place down, i couldnt stomach the wine at all.
The beach isnt great but there for a paddle if you want one. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The waterslides and play area are great so there really is something for everyone. We would return because if the kids are happy then so are we.

"We would stay here again"

This is the fourth time that we have visited this hotel, previous visits included the time around the BBC Watchdog issue. We have never had a complaint about the hotel and this year was no exception.
The staff are very friendly and work very hard, a please and thank you goes a long way with them. The rooms are kept clean with frequent linen and towel changes. There is plenty of choice for the food which is to a very good standard. The prices for the shops on site are expensive, they do have you by the barrel there, and however a short ride into the village and prices are much cheaper.

I do have one or two complaints, the evening entertainment this year was not that good and regarding the food it is a pity that parents stop their children from handling food and use the utensils provided instead also there are a number of stray cats around the site with warning notices not to touch them or feed them, yet I saw numerous parents allowing their children to do so even using cups and dishes from the restaurants, this is how the illnesses highlighted in watchdog are spread and not by poor standards on the part of the hotel.
In spite of these issues a thoroughly enjoyable two weeks and I would go again.

"Hotel gets better and better!"

This is the second time myself and my family have visited this holiday village and love it!
The staff are very friendly and work very hard keeping the whole place spotless. The location is great too with the beach at the end of the resort. I know the town of Sarigerme not big or exciting but the place seems to be up and coming as it looks like there is planning for more building work to go ahead.
Food is excellent and lots of great choices. Didn't have the same meal twice!
Kids loved entertainment not only in the club and the staff of I 5 Live in the amphitheatre were excellent too keeping all my kids dancing the night away.
I love this hotel as it just makes our holiday, fun, exciting and gives you nothing to worry about ...

I'm 14 years old and stayed in tropical side with my mum dad and little brother. And I would definitely visit again! Just maybe with some friends. Usually I'm really picky with my food but they had such a huge amount to choose from!
My favourite part of the holiday has to be the entertainment! The holiday reps were great, always putting you in a great mood. The night time entertainment at 9:30pm is when they put great acts on stage (i5live) they have comedians, singers, dancers...
The comedians are great for the younger ones too. I would completely recommend this holiday to everyone! It's so clean and I didn't have any problems there! One day I'd love to be a holiday rep in turkey: D

Food very good. No sausages or bacon but plenty of other things to eat on a morning. Food at outside bar very good. Inside, the restaurant buffet is very busy lots of people running about. Could do with all the food being in one area instead of being spread out in different areas of the room. Hotel very clean. The all inclusive drinks weren\'t that good. Location very good. I stayed on the palace side of the holiday village and the radio during the day was excellent and the entertainment of a night was very funny and a lot of fun. the dances the presenters did was a lot of fun as they learnt the dances to the audience and always got me up on the dancefloor dancing. the shops around the resort was also good for sweets, clothes, drinks and jewellery too. the food there is amazing and a definite variety and the desert were exquisite. i would definitely recomend this resort for parents with children all ages and even families without children as the resort has adult only places eg. bars, pool etc. i stayed at this resort with my family for two weeks and i\'ll thell you it wasn\'t long enough and i did water spoarts ...

this was the 2nd time we have been to the Holiday village, last time being in 2006. i loved it then and can honestly say that it was just as good this time.
There were 14 of us in total , 8 of whom had not been before but we would all definately go again. we had 3 teenagers with us who had a great time, there is always plenty going on to keep them entertained.

me and my family stayed at holiday village turkey tropical side on arrival we thought it was fantastic the food was great but then after a few days we all started having stomach cramps and had sickness and diarrhea but we didnt think anyhting of it till we got home and done some research and realised that many people have had the same experience now thinking about it we can see why.its a real shame because the hotel itself is lovely.

Read the reviews and in all honesty wondered if we\'d made a terrible mistake! But what a very pleasant surprise we had. The hotel & grounds are immaculate. The food is the best we have ever had on an all inclusive holiday. There are 3 themed restaurants which provide a 1st class service and the food delicious, especially the Asian one. The beach is beautiful (and the sunbeds are free)!! Entertainment hit & miss - there was a comedian on one night which was good (although he had to mind his p\'s & q\'s because there were still youmg children there). Weather was brill - we travelled early September and the temperature was about 32-34 degrees.
As the flights are always late at night and you need to be out of your rooms by 10.30 I would recommmend the trip that First Choice have. You travel by coach for about 1/2 hour then get on a boat to the lake at Dalaman where they let you have a swim in the beautiful waters. Back on the boat for some sightseeing then onto the Mud Baths which are great. They take you to dinner which is included, then to the beach. Back to the town to the hotel room which you have until you are picked up by the coach - dinner is also provided. All this for

Very pleased with the standard of accommodation, we were in a Jacuzzi Suite in the Holiday Village Turkey - Tropical side, and found the room and all the resort to be very clean and tidy. There were members of staff constantly picking up litter and tidying plates and cups away. Didn\'t see much of the entertainment as our son was poorly and so we spent almost every evening in the room. The food was varied and plenty, however our son picked up Salmonella from somewhere. Unfortunately on day 6 of our 11 night holiday we had to get the doctor for my husband as he had a nasty ear infection, was given antibiotics that didnt do any good, the doctor came back the following day as he was still in so much pain, he could not enjoy himself for the rest of the holiday and had to see our own GP back in UK.

Beautiful place beautiful hotel staff and management cannot do enough to keep the hotel clean and tidy and luckely first choice dont insist on there hotels having european fire saftey standards
so when a fire broke out in our hotel bedroom the managment did not have to bother the local firebrigade, actuate an audioble fire alarm nor evacuate the wing unfortunatly the Hilton hotel staff next door saw the smoke and took it apon themselves to call the brigade.
luckely we only lost all of our belongings and frightend the hell out of the kids
not to worry we got a room with a jakuzzi and

I have to say this is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were cleaning all day, No litter was left, despite the odd very lazy person leaving bottles and bags around. The staff could not have been more helpful. The rooms were unusual in the Tropical side a family room consisted of just one room with 4 beds in, we did not accept this as we had teenagers with us, The staff moved us to the Palace side, where at least we got a partition in the room. Air con was ok but noisy at night. The hair dryer was nothing short of usless. The food was normally a good choice on hand. no Russians/Germans. The entertainment was good for younger families and they flew in John Clegg when we there- really funny. They fly in a top act each week. The pools were fantastic and smaller pools scattered around the accommodation if you wanted to be quieter. Activities all day but you were not pressured to join in. Enjoyed it against all my preconceived ideas.

Food was very good with a choice for everyone.
Location wasn\'t good if you want a young and lively holiday. You can get a taxi into Sarigerme for 10 lira but it\'s only 1 street with shops!
Hotel staff were on the ball at cleaning but not good at all at smiling!!
Entertainment team try very hard.
Would go back if i needed a quet break.

The hotel is lovely, very clean and well maintained. We stayed on the Palace side and much preferred it to the Tropical side which we visited a couple of times. I would recommend requesting the Palace side if you can - going by what other people said.
The air con in the rooms is not brilliant and I would recommend a fan and also asking for a second key card which means you can put the air con on for when you get back in the room at night as it doesn\'t stay cool for long.

DO NOT buy stuff the shop at the hotel as it is extremly over priced. we ran out of sun lotion for the kids and paid 45 turkish lira for a bottle of nivea kids sun - about 20 quid, which over here would have cost about half the price. DO take your own swim nappies, in the hotel shop they were about 30 lira and in the town they were 18 lira which is expensive, normal nappies too are expensive.
People did spend a lot of time using the pools as toilets and they were closed a lot because of accidents and when they close them they do close them for 24 hours. If you want a decent sunbed then you do need to get up early but you have to stay with them otherwise your towels will be removed - be warned !
Food is pretty good, there is a family buffet in the upstairs restaurant opposite reception which does goods bits for the kids and the free ice cream is in the main restaurant at lunch time but you do have to queue. If you want to buy ice creams then don\'t buy them from the stands by the pool as they charge 5 lira each, walk to the shop that sells the inflatables as his are only 1 lira for the exact same ice cream, oh and we paid 10 lira (about

People did spend a lot of time using the pools as toilets and they were closed a lot because of accidents and when they close them they do close them for 24 hours. If you want a decent sunbed then you do need to get up early but you have to stay with them otherwise your towels will be removed - be warned !
Food is pretty good, there is a family buffet in the upstairs restaurant opposite reception which does goods bits for the kids and the free ice cream is in the main restaurant at lunch time but you do have to queue. If you want to buy ice creams then don\'t buy them from the stands by the pool as they charge 5 lira each, walk to the shop that sells the inflatables as his are only 1 lira for the exact same ice cream, oh and we paid 10 lira (about
