Situated in the most exclusive bit of real estate in the city these apartments are amazing. Yes, it is an old building, yes the lifts can be a bit slow, yes the bathrooms in the rooms are not new, but everything works. The staff are amazing and the price is unbelievable. You get a full kitchen, a TV with 60 odd channels (OK they are American channels and are full of adverts for medicines) but when was the last time you could lie in bed watching Bonanza? You get a landline phone in the room with free local calls and an answerphone (useful if like us you have lots of local friends) And yes, the night rate for the car parks are more than these apartments.
There is a comfy lounge on the ground floor with free coffee and an internet connected computer. There is a small fitness room with sauna and shower. The basement has washing machines and dryers which are inexpensive to use. There is a small convenience store across the street but it is a bit expensive. Other, larger and cheaper stores are a 10/20 minute walk away.

Self-catering studio apartments in the best part of town for a lot less than a hotel room.
Friendly staff, clean apartments. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed. Comfy sofa. Dining chairs and table. 65 channel TV. Dedicated telephone with free local calling.
Guest lounge in lobby with free coffee. Laundry in basement together with free internet access and printer. Fitness room.
All linen provided.
Adequate bathroom. Fittings old but all worked.
Randomly noisy heating!
