'Difficult trading' blamed for Blubookonline failure

Accommodation firm Bluebookonline has collapsed, blaming "difficult trading conditions".

Whilst we must stress that we are not in any position to confirm that this company is in crisis, a worrying situation has been ongoing in recent weeks which members/customers perhaps need to be aware of.

The offices of WSH Travel closed for the New Year holiday on 30 December. Internet sales should have remained open. However, their reservations system has apparently shown no availability for any dates or destinations since then, and the website has been occasionally updated to extend the dates of the office closure period. The last update to the website indicated that WSH offices should have re-opened at 9am today, but all efforts to make contact by phone have so far failed, and my previous emails to directors and support team have not been replied to. Some existing WSH customers are also now discovering from hotels that their reservations have been cancelled.

We would stress again that we are not aware of any firm evidence that this company is in any sort of crisis or has ceased trading, but recent developments are obviously of concern to us and our members.

If anyone has been able to speak to the company today, we would be grateful if you could post in our WSH Travel topic, where recent discussion on the subject can also be viewed.
