We stayed here for 2 weeks at end of August and were apprehensive because of reports we read, but loved every minute of our stay at this hotel!! We were lucky enough to get a poolside room so didnt have to contend with hill! Pool area was fab with loads of loungers, we stayed beside kids pool as we had small children and childish men! was always clean and gardens well kept. Food was basic, but didnt expect anything more as was cheap holiday and we did eat out quite a bit. All Inclusive drinks did include some cocktails and water, they would even fill bottles up to keep in your fridge! Hotel staff were all friendly and efficient, especially reception staff, some of whom were mad english! Oy Oy wigan lass 1-0!! Martin and Tony entertainment staff were fantastic and kids miss them tonnes!! Hotel had other nationalities staying and was great mix of lovely people, Dutch are fab, made lots of new friends xx One of our girls took ill at end of holiday and staff called doctor straight away, and med hotels rep, Sharon, made whole experience painless, job well done from a rep who was down to earth, friendly and approachable. We will use med hotels again! We would definitely visit this hotel again, but please please prepare before you go with insect repellant and plug ins - we didnt and suffered!!!

The view from the top buldings/rooms is beautiful...the only bad thing is the hill you have to climb to get to the room, luckily there is a mini-bus that takes you up every 10 minutes.

Fantastic hotel ,fantastic food.

Wwe where moved to Sidari village from another hotel. This hotel is brilliant for kids & adults . ( we where in Roda garden village (X EIREN HOTEL ) in Roda all inclusive keep clear of this place as the hotel is a dive and the rooms that are advertised on the web are not the one you get keep well clear).

The Sidari Viollage is brilliant and the rooms are fantastic, so is the food and the staff are also brilliant.

Thank you for a great holiday.

Stayed at Sidari Village, requested low block and got it right by the pool, didnt have to walk up the hill, but never heard anyone complain, mini bus runs all day.

Staff were funny (English Animation Team, especially Brian - Shabba!!!) entertainment around the pool from 11.00am to 2.00pm, quizs, killer pool, etc, entertainment for my 5 year old, Morgan on the night from 8.00pm to 9.00pm, very good, but wasnt quite sure why the English Reps had to entertain the Dutch children, their Reps never hardly appeared at night.

It was full of Dutch by the kiddies pool in the day, never got a sunbed hardly, but the big pool was mostly english, which Morgan eventually ventured into.

The Dutch were not the most pleasantest people to have around, just stared and stared, but they were friendly with the reps, funny that, but cannot fault it at all, rooms were clean and the cleaner was lovely, beds very comfortable, we had a 2 bedroom apartment, very nice and clean.

On arrival we found our rooms to be very basic & quite dirty (food from previous occupants still in fridge). The "kitchen" was very basic, we only had two rings for cooking, a microwave without a socket near enough to be plugged into, a kettle & a sandwich maker (only one socket so couldn't be used at the same time). The shower room was again very basic with a small shower with curtain in the corner, a drain in the middle of the room floor meant the floor was very slippery. The bedrooms however were very spacious & well furbished apart from the camp beds(we did get these changed to proper beds).

We asked for our rooms to be re-cleaned, but even after the maid & manager being in the room we still had to clean it ourselves, the manager did admit to us later in the week that they didn't actually clean the rooms again but only emptied the fridge!

The pool was clean and well kept (apart from the blue paint which rubbed off the side onto your swimsuits) but was 1.2m at it's shallowest, so our son found it hard to play any of the games laid on by staff.

The entertainment at night was very "Hi-De-Hi" but the Dutch residents seemed to love it! Upgrade to all inclusive was available at discounted price off 25 Euros per day, but if you are taking this be aware of the limited items & times this includes!

The public areas were all well kept (don't know about the rooftop bar as it was never open during our 2 week stay). The shop was reasonable but the supermarket at the end of the road(next to the Petra Bar) was cheaper. We were in the first block of apartments up "cardiac hill" so didn't use the minibus but anyone with any mobility problems at all would struggle, the bus did run regularly and would definitely be needed if you were any further up the hill.

Staff on the whole were friendly and helpful as long as you didn't have a complaint! Towels are only changed on Mondays and Thursdays and toilet bins are not emptied at all on Sundays!

We went for one week in may and found everything to be highly satisfactory, we was met by the animation team (Nicky, Alex, Pete and Vicky). The kids thoroughly enjoyed all activities and so did we. We liked it that much that we are returning for 2 weeks next monday (25th September). We upgraded to All inclusive and found it to be good value for money, we may upgrade again if they still do it. All the staff was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. A definite recomendation for anyone thinking of going.

We stayed at the Sidari Village in August 2005. After a lengthy flight delay we arrived at 9.30am in the morning. We were greeted by very pleasant staff who checked us in and then organised for us and our cases to be taken up to our room in a minibus (yes there is a hill but we were prepared for that as it had been mentioned in the brochure). We were in the first block so did not feel a need to use the minibus a lot but it was always there running up and down all day until midnight if you needed it.

We were disappointed when going into our apartment. It did not appear to have been cleaned (or certainly not thoroughly) after the previous holiday makers. The basic kitchen was dirty, there was dust on top of all the surfaces in the bedrooms, there was a dirty ashtray and the floors had not been swept. The cleaning did improve slightly during our stay. The beds were made every day and towels were changed regularly. The apartments were also tired and needed some improvements, eg the drawers in the wardrobes did not open and close properly, there were holes around the shower fittings, there was a drainage hole in the floor of the shower but the water did not drain away properly leaving a very wet bathroom floor.

We had a two bedroom duplex apartment which was very spacious and happily accomodated us without feeling we were on top of each other (although the stairs are a little bit rickety). The views were great - the pool, the sea and Albania in the distance!

The complex was very well looked after - the pool was always clean - the staff walked around during the day collecting plastic cups (no glass around the pool). They were very strict about the closing time - 6.30 pm. The pool was very large and our two boys (15 and 12) thought the size and depth was great for practising their diving! There were usually plenty of sunbeds (although towels were always on some of them no matter what time you went down in the morning!) The gardens were well looked after and were pleasant surroundings.

The hotel entertainment was very good. They did daytime activities from 11.00 am until approx 2.00 pm (water polo, volleyball, pool and darts competitions, football tennis, badminton, water aerobics etc.) Everyone was encouraged to join in, both adults and children, but you did not feel forced if you were happy to watch. The evening entertainment started with a children disco at 8.00pm for about an hour and then a cabaret/show at 9.30 pm until 11.00 pm.

We had booked self catering but when we arrived there was an option to pay for all inclusive (16 Euro per adult and 11 Euro per child per day). This did seem good value but we did not opt for this as we like to try different places to eat and did not want to feel tied to meal times. Some of the places we ate at and would certainly be worth recommending are: Simposio (which is on the road to Canal d'Amour), Hong Kong Palace (a Chinese), The Curry House, Venezia (Pizza). It was also good value to eat out, we could eat a main course each and a couple of drinks each for just over 30 euros for four.

The hotel location for us was great. It was 5/10 minutes walk to the beach and to the centre of Sidari
which meant you were far enough away from the evening nightclubs/bars but close enough to enjoy an evening stroll.

Although we did not book any excursions through Airtours as they charge a lot more, it is very easy to do this independently through one of the travel shops on the main street at a much better price. It is worth visiting 'Corfu Town by night', Kassiopi - has a lovely harbour with cafes/bars around it, Paleokastritsa - we hired a car and drove here along the mountains - stop at Lacondes to look at the views, they are fantastic, (we also went to a beach here which you can only reach by boat). If you fancy a go at watersports then visit Sidari watersports, which is on the central beach opposite Macdonalds. It is run by an english woman and her Greek husband. They were fantastic (and very patience) at guiding three beginners through water skiing!! They also do the usual banana boat and other inflatables. The 4 x 4 and fly fish is certainly worth a try!

We originally booked self catering and upgraded to all inclusive for 20 euros per day per person and saved a small fortune. for us the location was perfect as we wanted to be able to walk into the town and to the beach but not be kept up all night with the music. the hotel food was nice with a wide variety. the only bad thing about the hotel was the hill to the rooms but there is a minibus running between 10am to midnight and they do take luggage to the room on arrival.

the pool area was clean and do not serve glass for piece of mind. the pool was also kept clean and tidy.

the view from the rooms were great as we had a veiw of the pool, sea and the mountains of albaina.

the hotel provide reps which have various daytime activities.

we would definately go back to this hotel.

The brochure was right when it said hilly location! without the minibus to take you up to the rooms it would have been a nightmare to get to and from the pool and restaurant day after day.

The staff did improve their attitude from surly to affectionate but wether this was for the Dutch travel video makers I am not sure.

We booked a duplex style room watch out for the stairs they are a slip hazard and very rickety if adults are using them.
