Just to say that my pal and I arrive in Goa on Monday and are aiming to be at the meet next Wednesday

Now I'm partial to coffee but my friend only drinks tea, how we going to sort that one out?

We are also planning to cheer on at one of the football matches and would be up for quiz night too. Sounds like we got a social life sorted before we get there

Sorry I couldn't stay and have a chat last night.. it was a friends last night in Goa and he set off on his way to Thailand today then Oz for 6 months and he (not being a HT'er) wanted to roam about a bit. I'll be there again next week though

Hi Chilly - sorry this post is so late. Thanks very much from both myself and my daughter for the warm welcome from all at the HT meet in January. We came not knowing what to expect - but as you said - we enjoyed it as we were the last to leave. Hope to see you again. Keep up the good work!

An excellent and well attended meet tonight (yet again) lets see if i can count how many well i am totting up and i think there must have been about 30-40 of us all in all..... it was good to see The Foxes family and DEbs16 and O/H, Tracan and O/H , GMO6Ian and O/H, Goonerfan again after so long.... plus all the regulars... and any others i have probably forgotten to mention!!

we pretty much filled the carvery thats for sure and everyone mixed and mingled well..... .... some playing pool others just chatting, eating, laughing and drinking (coffee) i had a change and drank water

did take a couple of pics but can never seem to upload them on here but will try the main thing is we all share information and gain so much from it having a good night out into the bargain.... oh and we did get approached by one or two wanting the HT website address when they saw us all having fun and enquired what was going on... and we have a new whiteboard outside for names,, its fab!!! thanks whoever brought that along

Just a short note to say Thanks for the warm welcome Mrs bobbins and I received at The Carvery last night. It sure was good to catch up with all the news since we were last in Goa.

We arrived this year via Delhi and managed to fit in a week in Shimla, travelling up there on the Himalayan Queen. It must be one of the most picturesque train rides in the world - truly spectacular! Mrs bobbins spent the time shivering under four duvets ( only 200 Rps each sir) as it gets a bit cool (to say the least) up there at this time of the year. The monkeys are everywhere and need watching closely as we were told to carry a big stick in case the little devils had our bags away.

As for Delhi - I think underwhelmed is probably the right word. The Commonwealth Games are to be held here in October and the traffic around the construction works has to be seen to be believed. I had a coming together with a rickshaw, losing a small chunk of arm but decided to forego the assistance offered by a score of helpers who then proceedeed to beat seven shades out of the offending rickshaw wallah. My money is on Paula Radcliffe to do well as thousands of Delhi residents seem to be trying to emulate her famous "rest stop" on every occasion, and in any location, possible.

So we're happy to be in the warmth of Goa and look forward to next week's meeting.

will we see u before you go Goonerfan? if not have a safe journey home ... we had a great meet and it was Newbutt1's 50th birthday so lots of poppers and cake ... sad to be saying goodbye to some of the special friends we have made who are off home after 6 mths or so but a great fun time had by all i think...was good to meet mazd and Minxcat and O/H too and Irish Noel and O/H also arrived to day and turned up which was a great surprise I didnt think they would make it tonight after all that journey!!
