hippyjak,

Please refer to your post on the Thomas Cook topic where you asked originally. I've provided some additional information for you after the other posts.

has anyone got any ride reports on this carrier? sister says she is now flying them instead of TCX from GLA to Tenerife and it is a A319-that seems quite a distance for a packed 319 in my book. i thought they had A320 and A330. She says that there is no seat choice or whatever...do they feed the pax?

I am fairly useless with charter operators! :)

just checking again - has no one actually flown yet with this operator?

Any detail on equipment type - I see x1 A330 and x2 A320 (although this appears not to be what T.Cook are telling clients!

Thanks. obviously trip report would be useful.

I had heard that if you go to their web site and then enter tour company reference numbers you may be able to purchase a seat choice. Dont know if you have tried that.

Firstly nivsy this would appear to be correct, i took a look and it costs 24 Euro each if you do this, as we are travelling as a large group I didn't bother.

Right here is a quick review of our flight yesterday.

We flew out from Aberdeen (saved over a £1200 as compared to flying from Glasgow) our flight departed slightly ahead of schedule and without any problems.

The Evelop an Airbus A320 plane we were on was still in its Orbest Air livery, the interior was modern and clean.
The seat pitch was on a par with most charter carriers and I think a bit more than our recent flights on a Thomson plane.

The seat pitch was severely reduced by the couple of A Holes in the seats right in front if mrs KIltie and I who immediately fully reclined their seats :swear :rage

When politely asked if they could put their seat up slightly all we got was abuse about that is what people do on planes and if we flew we would know that, if we didn't like it we should just put our seats back too, very helpful.

Thankfully the plane wasn't full and the Spanish cabin crew were happy to move us both in to empty seats :tup
I must just comment on the cabin crew, as I said they were Spanish and very nice and friendly, not very formal but very pleasant and nothing was a problem for them.

There was a film shown on the drop down screens and you need a small double adaptor for your headphones or you can buy a small set of headphones on board for 3 Euro £2.60. The screen also displays your route progress.

I forgot to look at the duty free prices due to the hassle of the seat idiots, I was looking at the brochure when it was knocked from me when their seat went back.

I did notice that some things are pre order and they give you a form on board to order and pick it up on your return flight.
I can tell you that 1 ltr of Smirnoff Vodka costs 9 Euro. If you want to know anything specifically ask and I will try and check on our flight back in 2 weeks.

Oh sorry all I can tell you that small bottles of wine on board are 5 Euro, again I will try and check this out further.

I will try and add a couple of photos shortly for you.

I now have the full information regarding onboard prices courtesy of the :think 'borrowed' brochure if anybody would like any details.

The return flight was just as good, no in fact it was better as there was no :swear putting their seats back in front of us this time. In fact there were quite a lot of empty seats, actually empty rows and the row behind me was empty, so once everybody had made their moves after take off and it was still empty I reclined my seat and slept for 2 hours, this was handy for the 4 hr drive back down to Loch Lomond when we landed.

We took off ahead of schedule and landed back in Aberdeen early, I couldn't fault Evelop in the slightest.

thanks.....ironic that the drive back to the loch would be as long as the flight just about! Hoping to get lodge on the loch again sometime soon - mother lives in Helensburgh!)
