will be going away in march and because of the weather we are going to the canaries.think we are going to try self-catering for the first time. have been to fuerteventura liked it but thought it was very expensive for drinks. we went to san antonio bay in ibiza in august and cala do'r in majorca recently and thought drink prices were very good especially cala do'r were you could get loads of 2 for 1 offers and beer for 2e, glass of wine 1e and bacardi breezer, smirnoff ice etc for 2.50e.
when we go in march will mostly likely stay in las americas or puerto del carmen so my question is where is better value for food and drink.

Just got back from tenerife yesterday and thought prices in playa las americas were very reasonable. 1.5 e for pint of beer and eating out looked really cheap also although we were staying in costa adeje which was a lot more expensive. Don't know about Lanzarote as it is several years since we were there and it was Playa Blanca which was very expensive, so much so wouldn't return self catering although loved the area. Hope this helps a little.
