I'm off to The Makadi Palace again ! Although I've been loads of times to Egypt I'm hearing the policing has got very lax since the upheavals. My brother has just got back, saying not only have the prices gone up but you have to be a lot more careful around Hurghada, especially at night and with taxis. A guy was apparently threatened with a gun by a taxi driver demanding more money!!!
Friends out there have confirmed that things aren't as well policed as before and to be a bit more careful where and when you go anywhere. My advice to anyone is the same.
