The rule is, if you never bought a ticket you cant possibly have won. They probably use the electoral register or 192.com to get your address and the first name of those who live with you.

I have read that list of complaints, the phone numbers and and names used in them same to be varied. My only fear is that some people may be taken in by the display of the peoples postcode lottery and reference to other lotteries. As most of us know people have been conned by similar scams either by paying fees or giving bank details etc.

This is a pure advance-fee scam. Destroy the letter and forget it. If something looks too good to be true, then it probably is! Sorry for the disappointing news, but I suspect you already knew that there would be tears before bedtime.
