Tsambika beach is sandy as is Faliraki. Both are long clean beaches. St. Agathi is fabulous, sandy and you can walk out for ages without getting out of your depth. Have a great holiday.

Ixia is a stoney beach, when we've been there the sea is a bit choppy - this part of Rhodes, the Aegean coast, tends to be shingle/pebble and a bit breezy. Popular for watersports (windsurf etc). Sandy tends to be on the southern (Mediterranean) side of the island.
