Very poorly equipped rooms for self catering - not even a sharp knife to cut bread, tiny 2 ring stove, only teac cups and no mugs. All designed to force you to eat at their snack bar I suppose, or make you go and spend money in the beachfront restaurants. Also asked for 90 euros per room for air conditioning - absolutely disgusting. Couldn't have windows open at night either because the feral gang of flea ridden cats jumped in looking for food. Ground floor rooms mean you have to smell cat excrement as all the cats use the grassy area as a toilet. We resorted to squirting them with water, as soon as we opened our door in the morning they would be trying to get in to the room. Cleaners kept the rooms immaculate but were talked to in a derogatory manner by the family who owned the studios. You could not consume your own food or drink - even WATER - by the pool; they claimed this was a national law - rubbish; again, they wanted you to buy from them. Even items they do not sell like ice creams are forbidden poolside. I thought this was ridiculous, to have to go back to your room each time you wanted a drink of water! In that heat you need to be drinking water all the time!

Iliada Studios Perivolos was an excellent choice. It was basic, clean, very friendly and relaxed. The studio we stayed in was on the lower ground. Disadvantages: less privacy and no afternoon sun
Advantages: morning sun and no traffic noise. The studio had all you would need and although not perfect, the best shower we have come across in Greece so far! Iliada had it's own clean pool and a lot of thought had gone into the garden. It looked lovely and green and was well looked after. Cats coming into the garden were fed and seemed happy.
This is a truly friendly family run business.
Advantages: morning sun and no traffic noise. The studio had all you would need and although not perfect, the best shower we have come across in Greece so far! Iliada had it's own clean pool and a lot of thought had gone into the garden. It looked lovely and green and was well looked after. Cats coming into the garden were fed and seemed happy.
This is a truly friendly family run business.

We have just returned from a week in Santorini.
The first surprise we had was the flight, we flew with Astreus airlines and they were brilliant, the plane had plenty of leg room and the cabin crew and Captain/First Officer were excellent, they kept us informed throughout our flight which made the 4 hour journey just fly by!!
Iliada studios in Perivilos was wonderful, the location was ideal, very quiet but within walking distance of Perissa where there were plenty of Taverna's/bars etc.
The studios were cleaned every day and the towels/bedding changed regularly, they were well equiped toaster/kettle/etc, the pool bar closes quite early (8pm)so you are very much left to your own devises. The pool was clean and the food from the bar was very nice.

Very nice accommodation. Cleaned thoroughly daily and regular fresh bed linen. Pool kept very clean. Good food and drink from the pool bar which is open 8am-8pm daily. Very friendly family run establishment. Not 70m from the beach as stated in the First Choice brochure, more like 250m, but still only a short stroll to the sea. There is a lot of construction of low rise apartments going on in the Perivolos area so it may not always be so peaceful. I would say its best to request a high room as the lower ones are in a sunken area which does not have a lot of provacy and can be a little gloomy.
