Hi. Am booked on GSM577/578 EDI-DLM in late September. Any info on aircraft, seat configuration etc gratefully received! I'm trying to book excess baggage on the website, but it won't let me - comes up with only being able to book the extra EDI-DLM and not on the return. Anyone know why this is, and if it might be sorted?
Many thanks

rmlj,

Anyone know when Globespan publish their winter timetable?
Can't make up my mind whether to book for the end of October or if it would be cheaper to wait and check prices in November.
Got stiffed last year!, booked in Cyprus for coming back and everything was priced in euros!!! ,
so not gonna get caught out again and will book a return journey this time.
Cheers,
Jinty

Globespan have told me their winter flights should be online by mid - end March.

Thanks Caroline,
Went ahead and booked for the end of October, they went up £50.00 while I deliberated!!!!!
Flying out from Glasgow narrows your choice severely, more so when you are travelling to Cyprus....

Yes, also interested in info for Edinburgh-Sharm. I am flying next week.
I was wondering how strict they are with the "only one piece of hand luggage" policy: I'd like to take my laptop and my SLR camera, both in relatively small but separate bags...
Also, a quick question about reconfirming. I cannot see when we are supposed to reconfirm, and does just logging in on their website and look at the reservation contitutes a "reconfirming"?
Thanks

I did this trip in November and will do again in June. I only had one piece of hand luggage at check-in, as that is standard policy nowadays so not sure what they would say to 2 pieces. I have flown with Globespan several times, but have never reconfirmed my flight - I presume you mean for the return leg?
15kgs allowed and I was under. Plane is comfortable, crew good, decent selection of food and drink to purchase, duty free available but I didn't purchase any. Flights on time both ways, and we had transfers to the hotel with them which were good.

Thanks for the info. I realize now that what they mean by "reconfirm" is just: "check your flight before travelling to be sure nothing changed"!
has anyone ever booked via direct holidays and then found out that they are using fly globespan from edinb to sharm. We have tried to prebook our seats and get extra luggage weight allowance via direct and they are now telling us we cannot since its in the contract between them and globespan?!
any advice, ta

Have you tried going into Globespan's website using your booking ref?
yeah, the booking reference is related to direct hol's, its a pain in the ....!
Now we have been told fom direct that they cannot book specific seats with flyglobespan even though I could if I booked direct with them via their web site. JOKE?!
