Hi,
I am travelling to Callela via Barcelona Airport on 2nd May 2007 and intended to get the Refre train from the Airport to Mataro then change on to the train to Callela.
However, I am seeing posts here in these forums that indicate the train from the Airport is not up and running and that a Bus to Sants or another main station is required, then to catch the Callela train from one of these Barcelona main stations.
My question is: Will the Airport train still be out of service in early May 2007 ?
Also, is the direct train from L'Hospitalet Llobregat to Blanes (via Callela) an option I could use if I got a taxi to Hospitalet Llobregat station, or are there engineering rail work at this terminus also.
I don't want to use Barcelona main stations due to it being more busy and bustling as my wife walks with a bit difficulty up and down steps.

suggests that the C10 service is running once again and you can go direct from the airport to Calella. Will take about an hour and three quarters.

Just flew back from Barca Airport to Edinburgh yesterday and although I was on a coach from Calella as part of the package, I can confirm that the C10 service to Mataro was being advertised on the giant screen within the airport.

Thanks very much for this infomation.
I was a bit worried about getting on buses and changing onto trains at Barcelona Sants if the Airport train was off. I know it can get hectic on these replacement buses and at main railway stations.
My wife is a bit wobbly on the old legs and a train change at Mataro shouldn't be too much hassle for her, especially with our 2 suitcases that she'll be carrying. :-)
