Afternoon all

Can someone please give some advice.

We are travelling from BRS to TFS on 1st Feb, flight EZY6095 returning on EZY6096 on 6th Feb

Do these flights have any form of in-flight entertainment?

We have purchased Speedy Boarding so we can get to the extra legroom seats first, I know there are seats at the front, but I seem to remember from my last Easyjet flight that there were also seats near/over the wing which had a different coloured head rest to denote the extra legroom, is that correct?

Thanks in advance for any guidance

garym1308,

EZY6095/6 are operated by an Airbus A320-200 (normally G-EZTN or G-EZTD) so should have IFE. There are extra legroom seats over the wing at the overwing emergency exit rows (12/13).

Thanks Darren

Is there any way of finding out what is showing? I presume it will be overhead monitors rather than seatback

garym1308,

Easyjet are a low cost airline, you'll not see seat back IFE on any of their aircraft! Screens are drop down LCD's over the seats. I'm not sure if they list what they show in their inflight magazine or not. You'll have to register with Ink Publishing to view in.

what is the weight on easy jet for hand luggage to tenerife

Hi botty ... no weight restrictions apply to hand luggage on Easyjet flights, within reason and providing that you are physically capable of placing it in the overhead locker without any assistance:
http://www.easyjet.com/EN/Book/regulations.html#baggage

However, baggage policy is currently under review, as the generous hand luggage allowance has resulted in a fall in revenue due to fewer passengers now paying to check in hold luggage.

Hi. I have booked a dynamic holiday over the phone, goingto Majorca flying Easyjet from Liverpool in April. I have been given a code and told to use the Easyjet prebook website. I have registered and entered the code but it is not recognising it. Is this usual? Do I have to wait for the paperwork to arrive and do I have to pre book? Any help appreciated!
Thanks :tup

Do you mean you've booked the holiday with another company? And what are you trying to pre-book?

In the "Manage Bookings" section you can only use booking reference numbers that relate to bookings made using your registered user details. As it says underneath "If you did not book your flight on easyJet.com, please contact your travel agent. Please contact the original booker if you did not book your flight yourself"

There was a debate late last year regarding Easyjet changing the weight allowance of a suitcase (without penalty) when booking a flight for 2 adults and taking only 1 hold suitcase. The allowance prior to the change was up to 32kg without having to pay penalty fees but around Oct/Nov this was reduced to 20kgs.

We are off to Tenerife in March and when I booked the flights, 2 Adults and 1 hold case in May2010 it showed the 32kg allowance and I expect/hope this to still be in effect.

Has anyone flown since the change to 20kg but previously booked with the extra allowance and taken more than 20kg ? Did you have any issues ?

I'm off to Spain next Saturday so will also ask at the Easyjet desk to see where we stand if nobody has any feedback. 32kg would be so nice and sadly for the last time !

Thanks Chris

Evening everyone... advice p[lease..

In November I Booked three people Bristol - Edinburgh flight 423 4th feb
return Edinburgh - Bristol flight 426 6th feb

All paid up, £185:52 charged to debit card

I have today tried to change one passenger name...I knew there would be a charge (£30 each way)
but when I come to pay this, an extra £80 has been added for "total fare difference", making the total £140

Anyone any idea what's going on? - I haven't confirmed the changes yet... simply ordering another seat would be cheaper than altering a name,,,

Ideas?

When changing the name on a booking, you not only pay a name change fee, but also any increase in fare between the date of the booking and the date of the alteration. So yes, it can sometimes (not always) be better just to make a new booking rather than change an existing one.

Thanks, David.... given that the seat is booked already, if I leave it till later in the week, do you think (in your experience) that the price will come down??

The price could come down. But is is perhaps more likely that as the number of available seats decreases, the cost of those remaining seats will increase. When deciding whether it is more cost effective to change an existing booking or make a new one, remember to take account of any other fees which you might have paid on the original booking which would have to be paid again on a new booking, such as for baggage, speedy boarding, etc.

Thanks again, I didn't add any extras to the original booking, can't believe that to change one out of three names that they want to charge what I originally paid for all THREE tickets..

Oh well... live and learn.....

Think I'll wait a few more days....

Well I never knew that . I thought they just made the change charge . :(

I've never known EJ prices to come down mersey. From my experience they only go higher as the seats sell.

That's my experience of their prices too. I'd sort it sooner rather than later.

I had the same problem last year with aother no frills airline. I eventually paid slightly less than I would have for another seat. I've flown quite a lot with budget airlines, and have always found that prices go up closer to the departure date, although that might not always be the case. I've just checked my EJ flight to Edinburgh for the end of Feb, and it has doubled in price since I booked it a couple of months ago (but there was a sale on then)

I booked some flights to Tenerife as soon as they came out last year and a few months later, probably due to the economic climate, they did come down in an Easyjet 'sale'.

Easyjet have (or they did have) an option for you to claim back the difference in flight prices, if having booked flights, they do go down.

I looked into this and the process was not that easy (surprise surprise!) and required you to contact the call centre to verify and agree the difference. The 'credit' could only be spent by contacting the call centre to book the flight, to do API, to do checkin etc. There is no online facility for this situation.

Given the call rates and the need to phone everytime it didnt make it that easy. hanging on the phone etc and the difference was relatively small, around £30 - so I couldnt be bothered, probably the same for others in the same situation.
