Thanks muchly pippy. I will be on standby on wednesday morning. :D Looking to book the week before you, for

three nights. Bit of a drag you have to wait to book returns. Apparently july will be bookable in october.

Just spent a few days in barcelona . Haven't been for a while.

Looking forward to going back next year :)

Hope you get a bargain on wednesday. :cheers

I'll be working but will keep checking on the app, so hopefully I'll get a fairly good price!

Can't wait to go back, such a stunning city :)

Well, no Spring '14 flights on line as yet! I suspect there will be a ****-storm on their Facebook page if they aren't up soon! :rofl

Someone on there mentioned that flights sometimes go live on the Easyjet app slightly earlier than on the desktop site. I'll be checking my app every few minutes at work then! :tup

Just booked. £145 for the two of us including the credit card fee. :) Great times as well. We booked for middle of may in the end, as realised the june dates were going to clash with something else.
Have you manage to book?

Anyone got any info on when april/ may 2014 flights are due to be released? Suppossed to be end of july initially,

then it was start of september, but now according to their facebook page it's 'sometime' in september :que

Anyone else waiting to book for next spring?

Yep, I need to book outbound flights for June the 30th to Barcelona, for my mum, sister and I. They're being released on Wednesday.

I'll have to wait a bit longer to book our inbound flights (July the 4th), as I don't think they're being released until October. Bit of a nuisance as flights are generally a little cheaper when booking as returns.

Hi Pippy, I see at the moment the prices up to 15th June have been released , and you need to book for later , but I hope you don't think I'm being rude but how much do you think they will cost ? The lowest prices I've seen on EJ website are 33 something , and it really depends on picking the cheapest days , also are you taking hold luggage ? , the reasons I ask are that BA do hand luggage fares for £39 and I saw a hold luggage fare for £51 , obviously one way !!! The return flight was a bit higher but not much , the dates you want to fly are priced on BA at 95 hand luggage only ( but 23 kg allowed ) and 125 with hold luggage , from what I priced EJ was around 90 with hold luggage on the cheapest fares available in June , but will they be as cheap on the days you want ?
Don't know if this helps in any way ?

Hi Andy :)

No, I don't think you're being rude at all. I've been looking at the BA flights for a week or so now and have been tempted to book several times! I've held off though, in anticipation of the EJ flight release.

We're all travelling hand luggage only (I realise the BA allowance is slightly more than with EJ, in that you can also take a large handbag/laptop bag, but we'll pack with the EJ allowance in mind for the return flight) so I think I'm going to go ahead and book outbound with BA. I'm not very patient and just want to get half this holiday sorted! :D

BA allocated seating costs more, but as I'm not at all familiar with their boarding arrangements, I think I'll pay to choose our seats.

I know we'd probably pay less by waiting and booking both flights with EJ at the same time, but I'm a 'do it NOW' person! :rofl

I don't think you can argue with prices at £39 one way , the best I saw on EJ was 33 so not too bad .
You can checkin online with BA , 24 hours before departure and pick your seats for FREE I doubt you will have any problem getting 3 seats together , so no real need to prebook seats , it will be on a 737 , which are 3-3 in seating and a little bit old , but I've just flown out on one from LGW and it was perfectly ok , you get a free drink from the bar service and also a deli bag , don't ask ;) what's in it !!! I was looking at flights for next year and will be flying either on Sun 29 th or on the Monday , if I'm flying on the Monday depending on the flight times I will take you in as a guest into the BA lounge if you want , have a coffee or bit of fizz , I will let you know when ive booked .

Good luck on your return flights too , you just never know !!

Thanks for all the info, most useful! As for the possibility of being your lounge guests (guests, or guest?), well that would be a treat indeed! :tup

We're flying out on the first flight of the day to Barcelona (only a five day break so need to fly out early, and back late), 06.40. For this reason, we'll definitely be flying back with EJ on the 4th of July as their last flight from Barcelona to Gatwick is considerably later than BA's.

As my sister is a nervous passenger I've gone ahead and pre-booked our seats, just because it helps her to know exactly where she'll be sitting. We'd have paid the £8 with EJ anyway, to guarantee taking the bigger hand luggage into the cabin and not risk it going into the hold :)

EJ don't have a weight limit / allowance unless something has changed recently?

No weight limit, no, but with BA you are guaranteed to be allowed to take two pieces of hand luggage into the cabin and the dimensions of the second piece are fairly generous:

Main hand luggage:
56cm x 45cm x 25cm

(22in x 18in x 10in)

Must fit into the baggage gauge on display in the check-in area

Second piece of hand luggage:
45cm x 36cm 20cm

(18in x 14in x8in)

Must fit under a standard economy seat

So we'll only be taking the one piece of hand luggage so as to avoid any probs on the EJ flight home. I know EJ do sometimes allow a second piece, but if they wish they can stick to their rule and refuse it.

We'll be paying for the £8 'speedy boarding' allocated seats on our inbound EJ flight to guarantee our luggage won't need to go in the hold.

Hi Pippy , see you've worked out all the luggage rules and regs !! I've looked at the flight times at the destinations I was thinking of for a holiday and they both go at around 1 pm , for some reason I thought they were about 7am , as I've flown to them before at that time ! Perhaps it was different days ? I thought you would be on the first flight at 06.40 , I prefer to set off early too for short flights , shame it would have been nice to meet up for a chat , I'm sure you will have a great time in Barcelona, I take it you will going to the Nou Camp :D I would love to go there to see a match . Of course there are other great sights in Barcelona ;)

Our paths may cross again in the future , so the offer still stands !

Hi
I have booked through an agent and I cannot see any hold luggage on the boarding pass. I booked one lot of luggage through the agent and later another one direct with easyjet which went through the bank. There is a luggage symbol on the right hand side of the boarding pass , is this it. We have our seat numbers and SB which i presume is speedy boarding which was included with the seat price.
Thanks
