i have not had the pleasure of flying Easy Jet, its said they have made lots of improvements to their customer service. I know they were getting numerous complaints. So has any one travelled with Easy Jet in the last few months or who would you recommend to fly with.

We use them all the time and we think their service is excellent. We usually find that they leave 10 to 20 minutes late and arrive on time on our usual route Gatwick - Faro. The planes are clean and far newer than some other airlines'. The cabin crew are always (and I do mean always) pleasant and efficient.

If only they would fly to St Lucia .................... :think

I regularly fly with easyJet, the most recent being last Friday (CDG to LGW). I have never, ever had a problem with them.

For short-haul routes I prefer Easyjet, especially if the other options are charter airlines such as Thomas Cook or Thomson. I fly regularly to Dalaman with EZY and have never had any issues, and things have improved further lately now seats are pre-allocated and there are no scrums at the gate to board! We travelled back from Egypt with them last year and there was a medical emergency on board and we had to divert to Greece to ensure a passenger with a suspected heart attack could be hospitalised. The whole situation was handled really well and I was more than impressed.

Never flown easy jet before as we like to pre book exit row seats (husband tall)
Now you can do this we thought we would give them a try

However we are due to fly this sunday 7th LGW TO TFS and we have just received an email stating our plane is now a TITAN AIRWAYS which i have never heard of to be honest

The worry is we have already checked in and printed boarding pass
if the seat configs are different or the aircraft is a different type on the titan then we loose the exit seats ??

Any one out know the sort of plane this is and will they give me the XL we booked

Thank you so much for your time

someone else will hopefully be able to give you more detail but the config is indeed likely to be different as Titan do not fly the A319 nor A320 from what I recall. They specialise in wet lease aircraft (along with crew) and I think currently have the B737 and 757 and 767 aircraft.

So the good news is that perhaps the seating will be better than easyjet, aircraft could be larger and overall service reasonable, but as I say others may be able to inform. I know BA has used Titan a few times and to be honest have never known Easyjet to use thm before...

Hi , as Nivsy said they wet lease and offer services to special requests , from their website it appears they have an A320 .

I've seen they have covered for BA on occasions , but wasn't aware EJ used them , I imagine your flight will be fine and if they provide their A320 with 31 inch pitch that will do very nicely in comparison to an easyjet plane .
They might even send you on one of their specially configured 737s :D

They have an A320 in their fleet (G-POWI) and another being sourced. G-POWI is on lease to Easyjet for the summer (until end of October) in an all economy configuration the same as EZY's.

Hope someone can help. We're travelling with another couple but the bookings were made separately. I read recently (I think on here, but can't find it now) that it's possible to link two bookings when checking in online, and of course then the 4 seats will be allocated together. Has anyone any idea how this can be done? :wave

I agree with you, but another flights also will be good ;)

Roseweb, I think if you want 4 people seated together you need to prebook seats. They are from just £3 so I think you will find most people will pay that small amount so there may not actually be 4 seats together on the aircraft by the time you get to check in online.

Is G-POWI then in EZY colour scheme Darren?

Did not know that - what a shame it is config like all the other EZY buses.

nivsy,

It's based in Rome and in an all white livery.

Hi cazzholly, Thanks for your reply. We regularly fly with EJ and the only time we prebook seats is when we're travelling with the grandchildren. Otherwise we normally check in online as soon as we can and have always had seats together (not prebooked), one of which has always been a window seat. I think it would be quite interesting to see the proportion of people who pay their £3 as opposed to those who don't (and possibly, like me, spend the money on a bacon baguette instead!).

We're lucky in that we can usually avoid school holidays, but I do realise the problems that are being caused for parents by the new rules.

Anyone got any comments?

Does anybody know when EJ will release their flights from May '15 onwards? I thought they were usually out by now. I have signed up to their email.

Thanks Sunaddict. I'm just having a browse now.

They've still not been released for the route I want yet (Gatwick-Budapest) - will have to keep checking!
