philip123,

Aircraft are tracable via ACARS that myself, GowerL7 and others use.

Assuming G-EZEP was the aircraft in question, it operated the following around your dates:

7th Feb: EZY6103 (logged @ 15:53GMT)
8th Feb: EZY101R, EZY2610T, EZY6103 (logged @ 1235GMT), EZY2153G, EZY2164.

As GowerL7 mentions, the aircraft looks like it got stranded on the day or your flight due to weather and other factors.

I get the impression that whatever information you throw at Easyjet, you'll not get anywhere with them as they'll use the 'circumstances beyond our control' line. To be fair, there's not a lot that can be done. When there are problems like this around europe, aircraft are moved all over the place to try and keep delays and knock-on effects to a minimum. Some passengers win, some lose.

philip123,

As Darren Has Given You In The Previous Post Thoes Are The Flights That That Aircraft Operated Around The Time Of Your Flight.

As He Also Says, You Will Probably Not Get Very Far With Them, And You Have to Think Is It Worth It, (Phone Calls, Your Time etc..)

Here Is The Reaso Why You Cant Send PM's

There is a minimum post count requirement. This is to prevent someone joining purely to spam our members via PM. There is also a minimum post requirement before you can post links for the same reason.

neknit, can you add the API to your booking? I went on to their website and clicked to add API to my flights but it just took me to my booking page with no indication of how you add the API.

I also noticed their baggage terms seem to have changed with regards pooling baggage. It seems their max bag weight is now 20Kg?

"Each paying passenger may take one standard piece of hand baggage, dimensions 55x40x20cm. The number of standard checked-in hold baggage stated for your booking must weigh no more than 20kg in total. The 20kg hold bag weight allowance (per passenger) does not increase with the addition of further hold bags. Extra weight may be purchased during the booking process. Additional charges payable at the airport will apply if you exceed the pre-paid weight limit".

You Can Add AIP By Visiting MyEasjet.com, And Entering You Booking Reference Number

I've tried that Gower! I went to their FAQ on API and followed the instructions. I was supposed to click a link on my booking page to 'add document info' but there was no link, just a link to add extra baggage or speedy boarding! I've emailed Easyjet to find out why there's no link.

linzi_lou,

IFE Is Not Provided On Easyjet Flights Operated By An Airbus A319. Seating Is Chosen When You Get On The Aircraft, So If You Are There Quite Early You Will Be In Boarding Group 'A' and Will Have Pleanty Of Choice Of Seating

linzi_lou,

Are you on the EZY6521? There won't be any IFE I'm afraid as the A319 fleet doesn't have it fitted. Only aircraft from the former GB fleet and those used on longer flights have IFE. EZY don't allocate seats so it's a bit of a free-for-all when boarding. You'll find plenty of comments on this thread about the rush etc to get seats. You might want to have a look through them and consider the opinions about Speedy boarding.

EDIT: You beat me to it again Gower!!

Hi, has anyone travelled on Easyjet to France in say the last 3 months without inputting Advance Passenger Information into Easyjets website before they flew?

I have 1 booking to France which I have been asked for info and input it and another booking for France which I have not been asked for any info and I do not have any links within my Easyjet booking to input any details and I cannot go through via the link on EJs website saying 'this is where you need to input API' as there is still no place to put the info.

Saral, I faced a similar problem so contacted Easyjet via their contact us page. They initially emailed me back to tell me how to input the data on my booking to Dalaman, despite my message to them telling them there was no option to include the API. Eventually, they emailed me back and asked for the following details for all passengers: Nationality, Passport No., Place Issued, Issue Date, Expiry Date and Date of Birth. They have emailed me to confirm this information has been added to my booking, but there seems to be a problem with adding API to countries that recently require it. Maybe on new bookings this option is available? I am assuming this API is an Easyjet requirement as we have flown to Dalaman 3 times in the past few weeks with other airlines and this information was not requested.

snowyboy,

It's now a requirement for travelling to several other countries including Turkey, Malta, Spain and Cyprus. Throughout 2009, the UK Government will implement its requirement for Advanced Passenger Information for all passengers travelling internationally into and out of the UK. This is being rolled out on a route by route basis over the coming year so you need to keep a looking out.

OK, thanks for the replies, still looking for someone that has travelled to France though without inputting API.....

Saral, Easyjet's website states that if you don't provide the API before the departure date, you'll need to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before flight time to ensure you have enough time to complete the API information.
