If the Dingles want to scrum at the gate and rush on so they can sit next to each other, that's fine by me. It means I'm less likely to end up sat by them!

:rofl - that's one way of looking at it I suppose!!

Does anyone know when Easyjet will release the flights from Manchester to Dalaman for next June. They are so cheap if you can catch them on the first day or so of them going on sale.

Steve, around early December. I bought LGW/DLM seats for about £130 (end July) the day they were released but you need to be quick to get the best prices. They went up in price £100/seat within a few hours of release for some dates in July/August.

They do sell drinks and snacks - comparitive items and prices with the likes of Thomas Cook etc. The last time I flew with Easyjet you could buy tea, coffee, hot choc, soup, cold drinks, sandwiches, chocolate, crisps, etc. and they used to sell pizzas, not sure if this is still the case though! Alternatively you can take your own food and drinks though you'll need to purchase the drinks airside at the airport.

Booked our flights in March I think it was for September going to Dalaman was the first day they came out and we paid £75 each inlcuding baggage. I may book the speedy boarding before I go aswell, I know you don't need it as we managed to get extra legroom both ways going to Alicante in December without it, but would be nice to get it just to give us an even better chance of bagging the extra legroom seats as I am 6'3 and 4 hour 15 min flight can be very uncomfortable for me.

We're flying Manchester to Dalaman in August. I believe that route doesn't start until the beginning of August. Gatwick is much nearer to us but the MAN/DLM seats were half the price of the seats on the same dates from Gatwick. I usually try and avoid Easyjet as I'm not fond of their boarding and seating arrangements but we're flying to Dalaman from Gatwick in two weeks time and then MAN/DLM mid August as the prices for both were bargains compared to other airlines. Easyjet are fine for shorter flights but whether we travel with them to Dalaman again depends how the flights go :(

They originally weren't due to start the route untill August but they brought the date forward, and I think they actually started Manchester to Dalaman the end of May.

Just checked the site and yes, they are flying that route now. The prices have shot up though for our dates in August. I really can't imagine Easyjet get many late bookers!

Winter routes push by Easyjet

Easyjet is to start a raft of new routes across Europe in the winter.

Eight of the 15 new routes will run from UK airports, mainly to winter sun destinations.

The low cost carrier is to serve Sharm el Sheikh and Paphos from Luton; Fuerteventura from Liverpool and Stansted; Lanzarote from Liverpool; Lyon from Edinburgh, Hamburg and Porto from Gatwick.

Other services added to the network for winter 2009-10 include six routes from Rome and one from Madrid.

Fares from the UK start at £27.99 one-way on the three flights a week between Edinburgh and Lyon and rise to £75.99 one-way from Luton to the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh which will be also be served three times a week.

The new flights start between November 2 (Liverpool-Fuerteventura) and February 2, 2010 (Gatwick-Hamburg) with the majority starting in early November.

Chief executive Andy Harrison said: "Times are tough for consumers so we are proud to offer great year-round holiday destinations for incredibly low prices."

I was just wondering about speedy booking. I know that if you have speedy booking then you get to board the plane first, which I'm sure will be fine at Gatwick on the way out but what about on the way back from Bodrum. Would they board people in any order from there? Normally everyone just rushes up to the door to get on the buses when the gate is opened for other airlines so I can't quite see how they would do it. has anyone any experience of this at bodrum or any other airport like Bodrum?

Can't say for Bodrum but with Easyjet out of Gerona they had 2 queue's 1 for us speedy boarders and another for the others.

I think you will still get speedy boarding there like Glynis mentions 2 queues but with you being bussed it may be hit and miss.

Ok thenks, we will just see what happens then.

Ah that could be the difference then as we all walked to the plane in Gerona. "Single file to the plane please no overtaking by the non speedy boarders" :rofl
