cazB,

The Best Thing To Do Will Be To Wait And See What EasyJet Offer You, They Will Hopefully E-mail You Soon.

The Most Probable Thing The Will Offer You Is A Full Refund So That You Can Book The Flights With Another Airline From East Midlands.

Also in talks with Bristol airport to discuss operations there. Will they increase their useage of Birmingham considering it's already near capacity.

Is the West Midlands to become an Easy Jet desert?

This is very worrying.

I Can't See Them Increasing At Birmingham Because I Would Have Thought That They Would Have Done Already If They Were Going To, And Also There Is Quite A Large Ryanair And BMI Baby Presence There At The Moment.

As For Bristol, They Have Said That They Are Reviewing The Numbers Of Crew There (As Well As Belfast, Newcastle And Stansed) But The Numbers Of Aircraft At Thoes Bases Is Likley To Stay The Same

Ryanair are offering to help Easyjet passengers who have had flights cancelled from East Midlands. Not sure of all the details.

I know Ryanair are not everyones cup of tea, they seem to do themselves no favours when it comes to customer relations (although I have never had any problems) and it does seems popular to have a go at them, even by people who have never flown with them ! but it's one option especially if Easyjet are also scaling down their Luton operation which may have been one of the alternative options.

Of course Ryanairs flight times may not be suitable but an option nevertheless and of course I know there will be the 'not on my life' brigade regarding using Ryanair.

.......... and please don't shoot the messenger !

Thanks both for the reply, will do as you say, just hope they don't take too long as they will need to book another flight.

I can actually see an increase precence at Birmingham for EasyJet and Jet 2 stepping up operations at EMA.

Time will tell.

I hope thay won't cut their flights from Bristol airport - They (along with BMI baby at Cardiff) are the only no frills airlines that fly from within 2 hours of us.

they hasn't been any mention of cuts at Bristol, i hope not i love flying...

what i do find difficult to accept is the fact that you can still book flights from east midlands for 2010 and they will still take your money !!!
surely this can't be right ?.

If you read the actual press release from the link provided earlier it doesn't read as cut and dried as the versions in the media. For a start it makes it clear that nothing will change before the New Year. In fact it doesn't set any date then, and it repeatedly refers to their proposals rather than firm plan. I wonder if there's some game being played with the airports, especially Luton, to try and get a late price cut.

It would be wrong to sell seats on flights that they intend to cancel without any hint of it (which is what Ryanair did at Manchester) but it might not be the case here. Then again, the press release may have been writen by someone with a limited grasp of English.

Read in todays Manchester Evening News that Easyjet are also consulting on a reduction of flight crew at Belfast, Bristol, Newcastle & Stansted Airports. Doesn't sound good for folks involved, losing their jobs

I have a few friends based at Newcastle, good luck to them...

At The Moment It Looks As Though It Is Still Only Going To Be Gatwick.

Still The Same Answer As Last Time, I Would Think The Flights Will Be Released At The End Of September, Early October For Next August

Could someone please tell me if all Easyjet summer2010 flights will be released at the same time?.
I am assuming that they havn't yet been announced.

Thanks in advance

Depending on the airport, Easy Jet release their summer dates in waves, from memory Manchester starts and finishes with Gatwick. commencing at the end of December. But things have changed a bit and I don't think that anyone can be really sure.

they have changed their format all winter 2009/summer 2010 are now available for booking including east midlands which they say they are not flying from after 2009,how can they take money for this ??? see their website under latest news

I've had a look at the recent news article on the Easy Jet web site.
It refers to spring 2010 flights being on sale, but not summer flights. It also indicates (on 22 July) that sales for summer 2010 will go on sale next month(August). But as far as i can see they havn't been released yet?

it depends on how you define summer; you can book up to end of june 2010. still seems unethical to me that they will still take money off you for these dates from east midlands airport when they are not flying from there after december 31st 2009 !!!.

2009 summer flights went on sale last year in December I think?
