You haven't put the correct URL in your profile, hence the red cross.

What is the URL that you were given by Imageshack?

Rightclick and select "paste".

Confirm at the bottom

Hello can you please tell me what ulr means? i am trying to put a avatar on and as i am a novice at this PUTER game dont know what to do, i have chosen the avatar but thats as far as i have got

The URL is the website address to your picture. It usually starts with 'www' or 'INVALID URL

Hello its me again am still trying to put avatar on i think i have done what you told me Mark but it now says URL of avatar is not valid !!! please can you help this thicko on the Puter i really am a novice. The address i put was http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk is this the wrong one?

It indeed is the wrong one as the one mentioned in your post is the address for Holidaytruths :wink:

Hello Mark, its me again have you given up on me or have you put your head in the oven with dopes like me asking for your valuable help? Ihave just had a look at some of your instructions on the forum for help with avatars and am nearly at the stage of sticking my own head in the oven!!! how ever do people be so clever do do all those things on thier PUTERS? I think i will need a course at college to manage them.

Thanks for answering me mark i think you are a first class guy in trying to help me. I went into my profile on holiday chat Albatros on holiday truths clicked on to show gallery at the bottom bit about avatar. Then selected the ann avatar on member gifs then tried to proceedto put the avatar under my name on the holiday chat forum as i see others have them on there.
Then i found you and all this headache for you started.
