Can anybody please tell me how warm the evenings will be, do I need a cardi? I remember the last time we went to Crete in May it was quite cool in the evenings with a cool breeze, I am guessing it will be the same. Thanks dot

I'd take a cardi, especially if you are right on the sea front. I think the temps are similar in May to October on an evening, and I needed one then. Days should be nice and warm though.
It can get very cold...Last time we were there in May (early) we needed coats not just a cardi it was really cold
Now we opt to go June
Its slightly warmer over on the Thira side they dont seem to get so much wind there.

Thanks Mandy, Just back. You were sooo right, it was freezing the first week, I wondered if I had bought enough clothes with me.The Scandinavians were walking around in fleeces & Timberland boots in the evenings!! By the 2nd week it had warmed up nicely & we were able to sit on the seafront having dinner.
